Title: 47 Best Stardew Valley Mods To Use In 2026 Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2026 20:54:00 -0800 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/best-stardew-valley-mods/2900-5735/ The massively popular Stardew Valley has a bustling mod scene, with tons of passionate fans creating content or adjusting the farming game's mechanics. While mods for some games, like Skyrim and Fallout, feature a lot of wacky content, the Stardew Valley mods are primarily focused on quality-of-life changes and art overhauls. While developer ConcernedApe has put out several content updates since the launch of Stardew Valley, the passionate mod community on sites like Nexus Mods has been working hard on new content too. Some modders have gone the extra mile to make new areas and NPCs, but many of them have chosen to focus on changing the art style or fixing small inconveniences in the game. Many of the small mods focus on refining some divisive aspects of the game, such as the fishing minigame. If other games like Stardew Valley aren't doing it for you, adding mods can give you a new experience. All of the mods in this list can be found on Nexus Mods, with direct links to their pages. We've included instructions on how to mod Stardew Valley at the bottom of the page, but if you're facing errors, each individual mod page has its own instructions and troubleshooting sections. Here are the best Stardew Valley mods to install right now. How To Mod Stardew Valley While some games make use of the Steam Workshop feature to install and manage mods, Stardew Valley has its own process. You'll need to alter the game files, but if that sounds scary, fear not. It's more simple than it sounds, and we've got instructions on how to install mods, whether they're XNB files or mods that utilize the Stardew Modding API. If you're tinkering with game files, remember to keep a vanilla backup somewhere, just in case undesirable side effects start coming into play. For XNB files:Locate the content file at C:/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/ContentFind the folder that represents the mod you're trying to install. For example, if you want to add a new cow variant, head to the Animals subfolder.Replace the "cow.xnb" file with your replacement file.Restart the game to apply the mod's effects. To use the Stardew Modding API, download SMAPI from Nexus Mods. This open-source software will allow you to install DLL files with ease, and also regularly checks for new updates. SMAPI will also help to make mods compatible with future Stardew Valley updates. All you need to do, when your DLL file is downloaded, is move it into the SMAPI mod folder. While that's it for the best mods to install in Stardew Valley, take note of the house upgrades, and recipes list for your next playthrough. They may be vanilla inclusions, but there's far more on offer than you'd expect. Skip Fishing MinigameCreated by: DewModsThe Skip Fishing Minigame does exactly what the title says: If you don't enjoy the fishing minigame in Stardew Valley, this mod will just skip it, automatically catching whatever you hooked. It also has some nice options to fully automate the process, or set a minimum catch amount before the mod kicks in, forcing you to at least catch each type of fish once before the minigame gets automated. Canon-Friendly Dialogue ExpansionCreated by: Ben and WitchweedA very popular mod, the Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion adds a massive amount of new dialogue for every character in multiple scenarios. There are roughly 4,200 new lines across day-to-day interactions, festivals, and marriage. These new lines don't replace any existing dialogue, and all of them are meant to fit in with the tone of Stardew Valley. They are also all in-line with the same level of vulgarity as the rest of the game, so there won't be anything in there to spoil the cozy vibe. Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter AestheticCreated by: Poltergeister, Agent Lyoko, Pathoschild, Hopewashere, Alvadea, Ailin, IronZelly, Geckobud, Tanpoponoko, Airyn, Seyph, Jaksha, Seusmothesaurus, PKpixel, Periera1495, Longevity, Schrodingers Kit, DaniAlbrtSancEs, Medinaquirin, ParadigmNomad, daftpatianceThis artwork mod combines a couple of different mods to create Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic. It gives all of the NPCs new outfits for each season and changes the portraits to reflect these new outfits. It also includes some minor tweaks to the normal portraits and some festival outfits to bring the overall aesthetic together into a cuter look, for anyone that isn't in love with the Stardew Valley style. 1oxnes and talkohlooeys' Seasonal PortraitsCreated by: talkohlooeys, 1oxnes, and fuzzlepuzzleCreated to go along with the Seasonal Outfits mod, the Seasonal Portraits mod offers a complete overhaul of the in-game portraits to have a more hand-drawn and cuter art style. Not only are the base game portraits redone, but there are also versions to match the seasonal outfits from the other mod, helping to bring a cute vibe to the game. Gift Taste Helper Continued X2Created by: JoXWThis helpful tool adds a list of loved gifts to each villager when you view either their birthday on the in-game calendar or the relationship tab in the menu, so you don't have to create a spreadsheet or keep a guide open. The Gift Taste Helper Continued X2 can have all gifts listed from the start, or it can add them as you give loved gifts for the first time, if you still want to discover them on your own. NPC Map LocationsCreated by: Bouhm and PathoschildNPC Map Locations fixes one of the most frustrating, although incredibly small, issues with Stardew Valley: It adds icons to the map to show the current location of every NPC in the game. Without this mod, you have to memorize NPC schedules or spend time searching around town for them if you want to turn in a quest or give them a gift. Stardew Valley ExpandedCreated by: FlashShifter, Poltergeister, iKeychain, EscaMMC, spacechase0, Mouse, Jessie#4755, xNytax, HopeWasHere, CherrySymphony, Coldazrael, halloikbenzanderThere are a few different mods that add more content to Stardew Valley, but the standout choice is Stardew Valley Expanded. This mod adds more areas, NPCs, character events, festivals, fish, crops, and so much more. As the name implies, it truly does expand Stardew Valley, so if you just need more Stardew content in your life, this mod will deliver on that front. Stardew and ChillCreated by: HaphestiaWhile the name might make you think it does something else, Stardew and Chill is a music mod that changes out the in-game music for a lo-fi hip-hop Stardew Valley-inspired album. It takes music from the Stardew and Chill album made by DJ Cutman and Coffee Date and uses it as replacement tracks throughout Stardew Valley. The album is also on YouTube, so you can check out the music before installing the mod. Skull Cavern ElevatorCreated by: LestophIf you've ever found yourself frustrated that Stardew Valley's endgame dungeon didn't have an elevator in it, the Skull Cavern Elevator mod fixes that. Now, the Skull Cavern has an elevator just like the regular mine, checkpointing your progress every five floors so you can return to the furthest depth you previously reached. This can save a ton of time and resources since you no longer have to start from the top each time. Wildflower Grass FieldCreated by: HesperThe Wildflower Grass Field mod changes the appearance of grass fields to have more variety and to fit whatever season you are in. It adds a ton of flowers and grass for each season, providing a cuter aesthetic as well, if you would prefer that over the default look. The flowers in each season are mixed together randomly, creating unique patches of grass throughout the game. DaisyNiko's Earthy RecolorCreated by: DaisyNikoAnother visual mod, DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolor changes the visual look of both the environment of Stardew Valley and the exterior of buildings in town to have a warmer, earth-colored aesthetic. It's not a massive change, but it's a bit easier on the eyes and matches the relaxed vibes of the game. DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolor InteriorsCreated by: DaisyNikoA sister mod to the previous entry, DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolor Interiors applies the warmed and cozier visual color palette to the interior of buildings across the game. If you enjoy the look of the Earthy Recolor on the outdoors, it only makes sense to apply it to the inside of buildings as well. Custom Kissing ModCreated by: DigusStardew Valley does let you kiss someone once you're married, but if you ever felt disappointed you couldn't kiss your partner prior to marriage, you aren't alone. The Custom Kissing Mod allows you to initiate a kiss with an NPC once you have seen their 10-heart event. It cures exhaustion and provides some relationship points just like the marriage kiss. Oasis GreenhouseCreated by: DaisyNikoThe Oasis Greenhouse mod overhauls the Greenhouse to make it bigger and add a bunch of additional features, like a Spa that can restore energy and a cellar that can hold casks. The biggest bonus is the additional space, as the Oasis Greenhouse has space for six iridium sprinkler fields and enough space to have two of each kind of tree. If you have found the Greenhouse in Stardew Valley lackluster, this version has a bit of everything. Wear More RingsCreated by: bcmpincThe Wear More Rings mod allows you to equip more rings than normal in Stardew Valley. If you have spent a ton of time in either the mines or Skull Cavern, you probably have far more than the two rings you are allowed to wear. This allows you to increase the limit up to 20 rings, letting you utilize as many special powers and bonuses as possible. Visible FishCreated by: shekurikaThe Visible Fish mod adds, well, visible fish. Now you can spot which fish are currently catchable at your current location by seeing them in the water. This doesn't affect how the fishing minigame works, and the fish won't be visible while biting your line, but it's nice to know what's available when you cast. It also works with other location and fishing mods. Better RanchingCreated by: UrbanyetiThe Better Ranching mod makes a few small tweaks to the ranching system in Stardew Valley. It adds visual indicators for every animal to show if they can be either milked or sheared, along with an indicator showing if you have pet them yet that day. It also removes failure for both activities, making the overall process of caring for your animals and making money from them much easier. Part of the CommunityCreated by: Space BabyFriendship points in Stardew Valley are typically only gained by interacting with that villager directly, but the Part of the Community mod adds in passive boost to friendship points. Shipping new items, talking with a villager near other villagers, and visiting shops are just a few of the new ways to earn friendship points with the mod, which rewards players for interacting with the community in any capacity. Immersive FamilyCreated by: xiaoleiwenHaving a family in Stardew Valley has always felt a bit tacked-on, but the Immersive Family mod aims to fix that. It adds 35 new events for your children, along with a ton of NPC dialogue based around your children. This is meant to make the children feel like an important part of the game, where the NPCs actually acknowledge their existence. Medieval BuildingsCreated by: GweniaczekThe Medieval Buildings mod changes the design of all of your farm buildings to have a more old-timey feel. Instead of the modern wooden look, buildings are instead made from bricks. While the name implies they will look like castles, they look more like a regal hamlet located just outside of a castle. Farmer HelperCreated by: aedenthornThe Farmer Helper mod is a simple tool that helps you not only remember everything you need to do each day, but also prevents you from making simple mistakes while farming. It does two main things, the first of which is to either warn you or prevent you completely from planting seeds too late in a season to actually harvest them. The second is a warning that pops up as you go to bed for the night if you forgot to tend to either crops or animals. Do Not Eat My CropsCreated by: u_u__wDo Not Eat My Crops is a very specific mod that does one thing, which is prevent crows from eating your crops if you don't have scarecrows protecting them. This mod takes away the stress of placing scarecrows in the proper places by making it so crows never eat your crops, regardless of scarecrow placement. AutomateCreated by: PathoschildIf you find yourself tiring of checking your furnaces, crab pots, and other machines every day in Stardew Valley, the Automate mod allows you to create automated machines to do it all for you. By connecting a chest to different machines, it will automatically collect finished products and place more raw materials into machines. You can even connect multiple machines to make an assembly line. Save AnywhereCreated by: Aredjay and Sweet PandaThe Save Anywhere mod allows you to save (almost) anywhere. Normally, Stardew Valley only saves when you go to sleep at the end of a day, but the mod allows you to save wherever you are, although certain events can prevent you from doing so. Still, it's better than having to either waste a day by cutting it early or lose any progress you have already made that day. Elle's New Barn AnimalsCreated by: ElleIf you have ever thought to yourself, "I wish these animals were cuter," when looking at your cows and pigs, Elle's New Barn Animals mod overhauls the barn animals design to be much cuter in design. There are multiple options to choose from for each one, including the option to fully replace some, like having deer instead of cows. Polyamory Sweet Created by: ApryllForeverSometimes you just can't decide which Stardew Valley character to marry. It's a struggle, right? How do you choose from such a variety of fun NPCs? With the Polyamory Sweet mod, you no longer need to make any difficult decisions. The mod allows for multiple spouses or roommates, you can even marry multiple people in one wedding. For the affectionately-inclined, unlimited hugging and kissing is also included. Remember that, unless you're using something like the Friends Forevermod, relationship decay is still a thing so you'll need to pay plenty of attention to your spouses of choice or risk upsetting them. You can mirror real-life too, and select a primary partner by gifting them the Aine Flower, which you can buy at Pierre's or plant with seeds. You can even change bed order or size in the configuration file, so everyone is comfortable. Elle's Seasonal BuildingsCreated by: junimodsHave you ever been wandering around Stardew Valley wishing the building aesthetics had more options? With Elle's Seasonal Buildings, there are seven different color palettes and three building themes, including more colorful, full brick, and all-white. There are eight different farmhouse styles too, whether you want it to be made entirely of stained glass, or you're going for a cottagecore look. Upgraded farmhouses can even benefit from configurable external wall colors, and there's optional holiday or festival-themed decor for farmhouse and cabin exteriors. The mod even gets into the finer details, allowing for the adjustment of fence, mailbox, shipping bin, and fish pond recoloring. Automatic GatesCreated by: Rakiin aka ScheKaaHow much time do you think you've wasted manually opening and closing gates in Stardew? Well, we've not been keeping count, but trust us when we say it's a lot. Probably. Waste no more time! Installing the Automatic Gates mod does exactly what it says on the tin. It opens and closes gates automatically for players. Animals won't be affected, so you don't need to worry about your herd getting loose. If you don't want all gates to be automatic, there are options to exclude some too. Bigger BackpackCreated by: spacechase0, bcmpincWe've addressed the issue of not being able to access your chests anywhere on the map, but what about the increasing frustration of having a limited inventory on your person? Sure, you could move things between chests using the Chests Anywhere mod above, but the Bigger Backpack mod goes one further. Simply head to Pierre's and part with 50,000g to get a backpack with 48 slots. While your inventory starts at 12 slots, it can be upgraded in the vanilla game to 36. But what good is 36? We want 48! Baldur's VillageCreated by: BVThis Baldur's Gate 3-inspired mod adds your favorite BG3 characters to Stardew Valley, with more than 20 new NPCs. There are six new locations straight from the turn-based RPG, and everyone's favorite undead vampire, Astarion, has a romanceable questline. Bumping into Karlach or Wyll isn't unheard of in Baldur's Village, and the art style lovingly brings the beloved NPCs to Stardew in an adorable pixel style. It's a must-download mod for fans of both games. Custom CompanionsCreated by: PeacefulEndHave you ever found yourself running around Stardew Valley and dreaming of a cute little cow following you around? A bat? A crazed spinning girl? Okay, so the latter might not be super desirable, but it is possible thanks to the Custom Companions mod. After installing it, you can create custom animals, people, or strange entities that can spawn on the map, or follow you around. This is a mod aimed at people who create other mods, or who may want to try their hand at creating custom content. Chests AnywhereCreated by: PathoschildThe Chests Anywhere mod removes the frustration of forgetting an item in a chest at home. You can access not just your chests, but fridges, dressers, shipping bins, and Junimo huts from anywhere in the game, and organize their contents. You can move items from one place to another without needing to run across the map. If you've found yourself with a full inventory on a mining expedition, you can now transfer your items to your chest on your farm and continue digging deeper. Ridgeside VillageCreated by: Rafseazz, MamaeshThe massive Ridgeside Village mod introduces more than 50 new NPCs, a brand-new location, new items, shops, festivals, music, quests, and more. It's an incomprehensibly massive mod which introduces tons of new content while not being intrusive to the base game. 22 of the 50+ new NPCs can be befriended or romanced, and the late game challenges provide a test for even the most seasoned Stardew veterans. There's even the Ridgeside Village Seasonal Outfits mod, which introduces new aesthetics for characters in the mod. There are new quests and festivals if you're bored of the Night Market, and even hotel rooms to stay overnight, and the odd jobs service to hire assistants on your farm. If you've been playing Stardew for years like the rest of us, installing the Ridgeside Village mod is truly like playing a brand-new version of the same farming sim we know and love. TractorCreated by: PathoschildVehicles in Stardew Valley? While characters like Lewis have a truck, it's never seen moving around the village, probably because of the incomprehensible scale of the thing. It's almost the size of his house! You can join in on the motoring fun now too, with the Tractor mod by Pathoschild. You can buy a tractor, as well as a garage to put it in, to help you be more efficient with crops, as well as clearing twigs and rocks on the farm. With the mod installed, you'll buy the tractor and garage from Robin who will come over and build it. Then, just get on the tractor and select a tool, seeds, or fertilizer from the toolbar. Pressing the backspace key will also summon the tractor to your current location. The tractor even has a melee weapon to break open mine containers or attack monsters. Mod Config MenuCreated by: spacechase0The Generic Mod Config Menu allows you to add a menu option in-game which views all mod settings at once. If you're finding yourself working through our mods list and installing almost all of them, this could be a helpful addition that enables you to manage all of your mods in one place. To find it in Stardew Valley, just use the cog icon either in the title screen or during your playthrough. Note that not all mods support Generic Mod Config Menu, so if some you've installed are missing from the settings page, don't panic. Downhill ProjectCreated by: KiyugamodsThe Downhill Project is an extended map that allows the player to explore a forgotten neighbourhood between Backwoods and the Mountain. The run-down old location holds plenty of secrets despite its resident NPCs totalling just three: a priest, a miner, and an old lady. Each of these characters have their own homes, as well as a ruined church and a depleted mine – symbols of the community's hope for the future. The Downhill Project is compatible with several other mods, including Stardew Valley Expanded and Ridgeside, and the town sits perfectly alongside Stardew Valley's art style, map logic, and general vibe. The introduction of these kindly characters will make you want to spring into action to help this crumbling community (and learn their secrets). DBB's Victorian Gothic UICreated by: donutbunnybunnyThis cottagecore Stardew Valley mod overhauls the user interface to make everything a bit more romantic. DBB's Victorian Gothic UI mod's swirling fonts, paired with intricate carved wood-style overlays and floral decor make a significant upgrade to Stardew Valley's default UI, especially if you're going for that Victorian gothic town vibe.Character portraits are given a sultry rose garden background, while inventory tabs are overlaid with a lace effect, making them look almost cross-stitched. Expect a lot of roses, wrought iron, and thorny branches from this charming UI mod. The Muttering FarmerCreated by: YunHikariIf your farmer doesn't yap enough for your liking, the Muttering Farmer mod will soon get them chatting. Once installed, your farmer will verbalise all their actions with a speech bubble over their head, adding flavor and variety to what can become fairly mundane tasks. It's a simple tweak, but one that makes the world of Stardew Valley feel more immersive, and inserts you as an active participant in its social development. Some of the comments are useful, such as location or character reminders, while others are simply funny comments on the daily goings on of Pelican Town. If you're a seasoned modder, you can even customize the lines of text for an extra dose of role-playing fun. Marry Me - Reverse ProposalsCreated by: KantripOur farmers do a lot of the romantic heavy lifting in Stardew Valley, but this Marry Me - Reverse Proposals mod promotes a bit more amorous equality among suitors. Each of the twelve original love interests have a custom proposal event, while modded NPCs can make use of a more generic event. NPCs can even propose to your character while they're dating someone else, in a more desperate and chaotic style. You won't need a mermaid's pendant for these, but you might get one if you say yes. You'll still need to put the work in to build a relationship and see those heart events, but at least you can sit back and wait for them to come to you with the big proposal. Potatoes' Cozy Furniture - Joja's ReplacementCreated by: BackedPotatoesAnother one for those trying to turn Stardew Valley into cottagecore wonderland, this Cozy Furniture mod replaces Joja's furniture with rustic mushroom-y forest goodness. If your dream Stardew vibe is witchy and whimsical, these interior layouts could really cozy things up.There are two palette options – one in witchy greens and purples and one in warmer reds and browns. Items like toilets and bathtubs are still fully interactable, and candles will illuminate the world around them with ambient light. The latest patch brings a standalone version that introduces the furniture as their own items, rather than mere reskins, which adds a few more immersion features if you opt for it. Cornucopia - More CropsCreated by: MizuJakkaruIf you feel like you've grown every Stardew Valley plant to perfection, Cornucopia--More Crops is an ambitious mod that adds many more crops, bushes, and trees for you to nurture. Cornucopia is an umbrella title for a series of customizable mods, introducing new crops, artisan machines, recipes, flowers, and more, while still respecting the tone and aesthetics of the base game. In this case, we've picked the More Crops bundle, but searching for Cornucopia on Nexus Mods will yield an array of results for you to choose from. It's generally recommended to download the Growable Forage and Crop Bushes mod alongside this one, to fully embellish your crops list.Cornucopia--More Crops adds more than 90 new crops and over 35 new trees (and associated produce) to Stardew Valley, including giant crops and wild foraging plants. Grow a selection of fruits and veggies, from avocados and olives to white grapes and figs, as well as flavourings, beans, nuts, and herbs like vanilla, chickpea, peanut, and thyme. Hand-drawn trees and produce sprites make each new offering look like it was there all along. Categories ChestCreated by: mahsoutoIf you've ever found yourself frustrated by lost items, or having to check every chest to find one specific gift, Categories Chest is a must-have mod. Time is precious in Stardew Valley, and this handy mod makes your life far easier by organizing chests based on categories. Once you've linked a chest to a specific category, you can transfer everything in that category to the chest with a single click. Float Chest LabelCreated by: NookickAnother chest sorting mod, Float Chest Label allows you to easily identify your chests through more than just color co-ordination. Each chest can be given a label of between 1-50 characters that floats above it, identifying what's inside. Label size and colour can also be adjusted to make sure they don't clutter up your aesthetic too much. Once you've got your labels sorted, you can toggle them on and off with the general settings menu. Spouse Farmhouse SchedulesCreated by: Nikanor24Do you ever wish your Stardew Valley spouse lived a more varied life? The Spouse Farmhouse Schedules mod beefs up their daily schedule inside the farmhouse, introducing new animations, sprites, and real-time in-game editing. Create your own schedules for your beloved (or beloveds, this mod supports polyamorous marriages), using triggers to spice up their routine--for example, specific weathers or days of the month--and watch as they cook, workout, change clothes automatically, and more. Sunberry VillageCreated by: skellady and sophiesalaciaIf you were looking for more content outside of the base game in Stardew Valley, then look no further than the Sunberry Village mod. This mod adds a new settlement south of Pelican Town, and introduces over a dozen new characters, items, jobs, and more to your playthrough. There's also a story to uncover and lore to learn about in Sunberry Village, giving you dozens of hours of additional content just in a single mod. Basically, if you want the mod to have something, it probably has it. They Deserve It Too - Portraits for ExtrasCreated by: cresolyn and Dolphin Is Not a FishThere are dozens of characters you can meet and interact with throughout Stardew Valley, but you can't put a face to each NPC's name. "Extra" characters, who don't have a lot to say or do, have a blank portrait when you speak with them. To increase your immersion and just start putting faces to names, you can download the They Deserve It Too mod, which adds custom portraits for every extra character in the game.
Title: Best Elden Ring Nightreign Mods Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2026 20:35:00 -0800 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/best-elden-ring-nightreign-mods/2900-6692/ Elden Ring Nightreign mods range from simple quality-of-life tweaks to tools that give players extra help against tough bosses. FromSoftware’s multiplayer experiment hasn’t seen any truly breakout mods yet, but the game is still within its first year, so there’s plenty of room for major additions.FromSoftware’s multiplayer take on 2022’s Elden Ring has already proven to be one of the best roguelike games, and players have put in serious work to make it even better. It’s not Elden Ring in the traditional sense--you’re not diving into a massive world. Instead, Nightreign focuses on shorter sessions built around teaming up with friends to overcome bosses. Some of the most popular best Elden Ring mods overhaul the game entirely, add Bloodborne-inspired content, or introduce features like randomizers that greatly boost replayability. Nightreign modders, however, have mostly focused on improving the core experience, especially for solo and duo players. After all, you should still be able to enjoy the game even if you don’t have two friends ready to jump in.We found these mods on Nexus Mods, and while others live on lesser-known sites, you should always be cautious when downloading files from external sources. Here are the best Elden Ring Nightreign mods worth using right now. How to install Elden Ring Nightreign modsSince Elden Ring Nightreign is an online multiplayer game that uses Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC), there are some negatives to using some of these mods. The majority of them alter the game's files, meaning you can't play on FromSoftware's servers without getting banned. Not ideal, we're sure you'll agree. However, you can play using a different save system and without interacting with "vanilla" players to stick to the game's terms of service. You can always uninstall mods and return to the official servers if you'd like to play as normal again. As long as you're playing with others who are using mods, you'll still be able to matchmake with your friends via the Steam servers. Here's how to install and play Elden Ring Nightreign with mods:Download the Elden Ring Mod LoaderExtract the contents into your Nightreign folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN\Game by default)Copy your downloaded mods into the "Mods" folderHowever, sometimes the installation instructions vary, so be sure to check each mod's page for details. There’s also the Mod Engine 3 Manager, which makes installing, switching between, and adjusting the settings of all your mods much easier and more accessible than managing everything manually. Seamless Co-opThe Seamless Co-op mod by Yui adds two-player party size capabilities. Previously, two-player co-op had only been possible if the third person in your party left during the game, leaving the two of you vulnerable without a third person. Sometimes, though, you just want to play with one other friend. Maybe you're communicating on Discord and the third party member has an entirely different approach to the game, or maybe you're just a pair of recluses who don't want a third person involved. Whatever your reasons, Seamless Co-op addresses this and shrinks the party size down to two.Yui states that the mod is in a "rushed alpha state" and will be expanded upon in the future. The addition of Everdark bosses saw Yui create a temporary solution to the Everdark boss activity, meaning that the mod needs to be able to communicate with GitHub, so make sure that isn't blocked on your PC before taking on any of the new bosses. The mod prevents you from connecting to the FromSoftware matchmaking servers, and uses different save files to the non-modded game, so you won't risk a ban by installing it. Fun Is AllowedThe Fun Is Allowed mod from MrGaeity was created in collaboration with the Elden Ring community, and focuses on increasing the amount of fun you can have playing Nightreign, without sacrificing the core experience. You'll have increased resists, deal more damage, gain FP from kills, and rally your health back after taking damage. It's meant to be played alongside the Seamless Coop mod above. The creators say that Nightreign currently "isn't a good experience" for anyone playing solo or duo, and so Fun Is Allowed addresses that with balancing changes that decrease the difficulty. There is a "slightly harder" option available for those still wanting a punishing time without sacrificing enjoyment. The mod has been regularly updated since its release to add new features, including a whole new set of spells for the Recluse. These allow you to create Mana Shields that protect the spellcaster and make her a more viable character. Those shields will break after one hit, but you can perform a Magic Cocktail spell to claim them back. The Magic Mana Shield is reliable and shoots two magic missiles with good damage and accuracy. The Fire Mana Shield is risky and burns in a close circle around you, applying stackable damage over time. The Lightning Mana Shield does high damage using lightning bolts, while the Holy Mana Shield does no damage but knocks enemies into the air and heals the party. With these changes and more, MrGaeity says they wanted to "do something radical" and we're entirely in agreement that's been achieved. Better Player ScalingThe Better Player Scaling mod from Keiran1925 increases the HP, FP, STM, and DMG scaling for players, making you more of a formidable opponent versus the Elden Ring Nightreign enemies and bosses.Essentially, it means that those four statistics will receive more of a buff every time you level up at a Site of Grace. In our Elden Ring Nightreign tips guide, we recommend leveling up as often as possible in the early game to ensure you're strong enough to face the first boss at the end of the first night. No Circle DamageAnother mod from Keiran1925, the No Circle Damage mod addresses the painful deaths you've been dealt by venturing outside the closing circle. We've all been there, and while it's one of the game's core mechanics, sometimes it's just frustrating to deal with. The mod removes damage from outside the circle, and means you can take your time exploring the game's map and uncovering better weapons for your approach to each boss. You will still need to race to the boss location at the end of each night to face it in order to progress, and some might argue this mod actually takes too much away from the core gameplay experience in Elden Ring Nightreign. However, it's fun to play around with, and there's certainly no obligation to keep it installed if you find it alters the game too much. Unlock Outfits Early The Unlock Outfits Early mod from Isotope allows access to the dresser and outfits available to purchase before defeating any bosses. Isotope thought it "sucked" that the best outfits can only be unlocked after progressing through the game, so this simple mod was created that unlocks the outfits early. It's not quite free though, as you'll still need to buy the outfits in the shop unless you tinker with the mod's settings. There are several versions, from offering Nightlord skins for cheap, through to offering all outfits for just one Murk. To use the mod, you'll have to ensure Seamless Co-op is disabled, but you can use it once to unlock the outfits before switching back to your regular save file. All of the outfits will still be there. Add More Skins for Nightreign - Skin OverhaulDo you miss some of your favorite armor sets and outfits from Elden Ring, or do you think Nightreign does not have enough skins of its own? Look no further than this mod, titled Add More Skins for Nightreign - Skin Overhaul. Created by Zeus, this mod adds fan-favorite armor sets like Lionel, Snow Witch, and Bloodhound to complement the skins that Nightreign already includes. It also brings in some heavy hitters from other franchises, including Kratos and 2B. Ultrawide SupportElden Ring players with ultrawide monitors, rejoice. The Ultrawide Support mod from Cellko removes the black bars that appear when playing with ultrawide resolutions. While our image above might not look impressive--thanks, image size restrictions--playing with this mod creates a much more immersive experience for those with wide monitors. To improve the player experience even more, this mod works alongside Seamless Co-op. Tourist ModeThe Tourist Mode mod by Vawser allows you to experience Elden Ring Nightreign in the ideal way--as a tourist. A special talisman will grant you invulnerability to all damage, meaning you can traverse the beautiful world of Elden Ring and take in its beauty. One of my favorite things to do in 2022's Elden Ring was observe the environment, and I'm glad I can now slowly meander through the hills observing the beauty in Nightreign, too. Free ReignFree Reign, like Tourist Mode, lets you explore the map at your leisure, but that is not its main draw. Created by TKGP, this mod allows you to fight bosses directly from the Roundtable Hold. It is a great way to practice, learn boss patterns, and get ready for your next game night before teaming up with your fellow Tarnished. Easy ModeFromSoftware games are hard, and sometimes having friends around does not make it any easier because you just cannot get into the swing of things. Elden Nightreign is understandably challenging, and Easy Mode is designed for players who want the same experience but with more forgiveness. Created by Syyyke, this mod offers two different easy modes, one even easier than the version originally released. It adjusts drop rates for items, how players interact with hazards, and much more to reduce the challenge without trivializing the overall gameplay experience. Custom Model ReplacersDo you think Elden Ring Nightreign needs a few more ... Transformers? No? Well, me neither, but with the Nightreign Custom Model Replacers mod by KRDCD, you can play as one. In fact, there are multiple model replacements based on popular franchises. So far, you can choose to play as characters from NieR, The Witcher, Black Myth Wukong, God of War, Doom Eternal, Stellar Blade, and more. If you're looking for the Optimus Prime model above, it replaces the Raider's default armor. There is a bug at the moment where your weapon won't show in cutscenes, but it's a small price to pay for high customization. Dark Souls Armor SetsIf you can't get enough FromSoftware in your FromSoftware game, the Dark Souls Armor Sets mod replaces various characters with armor sets and weapons from the Dark Souls series that are not included in Nightreign. Included are classics such as the Elite Knight set, Dragonslayer set, and Black Iron set, among others.Like the above model replacement mod, your weapons won't be visible during the cutscenes, but it's worth the trade-off. FOV Tweak For some reason, FromSoftware insists upon having no field of view (FOV) options in the Nightreign menus. This FOV Tweak mod addresses that, giving players full control over how much of the map you can see at a time. As fair warning though, do not attempt to use this mod online without Seamless Coop installed, or without disabling Easy Anti Cheat, as it will get you banned. Nightreign RandomizerRandomizers are a wonderful creation. They help make games like Pokémon, Fire Emblem, Zelda, and Elden Ring endlessly replayable, and often hilarious, by mixing and matching content from throughout the game and presenting it in a random order. The Nightreign Randomizer, created by thefifthmatt, does exactly that for Elden Ring Nightreign. Boss ArenaWhile Elden Ring Nightreign does place more of an emphasis on bosses than the original game, sometimes that's not enough. If you're looking to take on bosses and nothing else, then the Boss Arena mod is what you're after. The mod allows you to customize what bosses appear in the arena and totally customize your character with any stats and gear so that you're prepared for what lies beyond the fog. Nightreign UnlockTheFpsIt goes without saying that one of the most frustrating parts of playing a FromSoft game on PC is the FPS cap. The developers always cap their games at 60 FPS, forcing players to either deal with it or download a mod to workaround it. Well, if you're trying to go the latter route, download the Nightreign UnlockTheFPS mod and enjoy your extra frames. You can set a custom max FPS limit or let it go unlimited if your PC is strong enough.
Title: Best Starfield Mods To Improve The Game In 2026 Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2026 20:18:00 -0800 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/best-starfield-mods/2900-6529/ The best Starfield mods smooth over the rough edges of Bethesda's space game by adding new ways to play, better methods for managing things, and more interesting ways to use its mechanics. Starfield isn't even two years old, but the mod scene is filled with creations that alter combat, improve stealth, provide more options for building, and offer solutions for some of the game's persisting bugs. There's even one that built an entire Star Wars game inside Starfield, because why not? We've sorted through the lot and picked out 27 of the best Starfield mods to improve your game.Like with most mods, these only work for Starfield for PC, specifically the Steam version. You cannot install Starfield mods on the Windows or PC Game Pass version. If you're after something fresh and new on consoles instead, check out our picks for the best PS5 games and best Xbox Series X|S games to play in 2026. Or if you like modding, check out the best total-conversion mods. 60 FPS - Smooth UICreator: FuzzlesDownload link: NexusModsStarfield's UI is locked to 30fps, which might sound like a non-issue for menus, but it applies to things like ship navigation as well. If you ever wondered why things seem a bit jittery when you're flying compared to when you're exploring on foot, that's why. This mod is a simple one that pushes the framerate to 60fps, and there's a 120fps version as well, if you want to take it further. Starfield FOVCreator: Hellstorm102Download link: NexusModsYou can technically change Starfield's field-of-vision using methods similar to those outlined in this mod. That involves creating a text file and inputting a handful of specific lines to manually adjust the FOV, since Starfield has no in-game slider for it. However, the mod removes some of the additional steps and makes the process a bit less intimidating for those who aren't used to tinkering with game files. StarUI InventoryCreator: m8r98a4f2Download link: NexusModsStarfield's inventory interface isn't exactly the easiest to parse on PC, which is where StarUI Inventory comes in. This Starfield mod lets you sort columns more easily and actually see what you have in your cargo and ship storage and includes an option to move entire categories of items from cargo to inventory with a single click. That's useful for item management, of course, but also for quickly selling off items you don't need, so you can clear cargo space more efficiently. Legendary ShipsCreator: Vitamink45Download link: NexusModsIf you hoped you could eventually add the three legendary ships to your collection of Starfield's best ships, now you can. This mod lets you add the Va'ruun Shroudbearer, Ecliptic Battleship Shroudbearer, and Space Scavenger Blattodea to your fleet, albeit for a price. You'll still have to purchase them from the New Atlantis Ship Builder, so you may want to take advantage of Starfield's money glitch to pad your wallet first. Mod creator Vitamink45 also recommends using a small collection of other mods to help keep the game from crashing when you dock at a space station with one of these ships, since they aren't designed to handle these behemoths. These include Save Unfinished Ships, TN's Ship Building, and CCR Flight Camera. Star Wars Blasters and MeleeCreator: CrozzbowDownload link: NexusModsIt was only a matter of time before someone decided Starfield needed more Star Wars in it. Star Wars Blasters and Melee replaces every weapon in Starfield--except the Cutter, which is only sort of a weapon anyway--with a counterpart from the Star Wars universe. Everything from Imperial assault rifles to Rebel pistols is here, along with some less instantly recognizable pieces, such as a fork-nozzled blaster that resembles a harpoon more than anything else.If Destiny is the space world you prefer, there's a mod that does the same thing, but makes it Destiny-flavored. Star Wars GenesisCreator: DeityVengyDownload link: NexusModsFor even more Star Wars, there's Star Wars Genesis from DeityVengy. This mod adds conflict between Imperial and Rebel factions, who now attack members of the opposing faction on site; Star Wars-themed cities and settlements; ships from Star Wars; new factions; Jedi Force powers; more planets and unique biomes--it's almost an entire game built in Starfield. The mod includes its own story quests and side quests. You can play as a droid. It even fixes some known, lingering bugs in the base game. As if that's not enough, the mod maker regularly updates it with more features and plans to continue expanding. Constellation CollectionCreator: 2077v2Download link: NexusModsThe Constellation Collection bundles over a dozen mods to help make Starfield pretty much whatever you want it to be. There's a set of difficulty modifiers, one that changes how often legendary-grade items drop, and a package of alterations to things like NPC behavior, including how often they blink and their uncanny ability to identify and greet you from a long way off. You can own more ships, customize photo mode, change enemy combat behavior--and that's barely scratching the surface. The collection is massive, and you can choose which packs or individual mods you want to download and install or just get everything. Starfield Combat OverhaulCreator: matr0xDownload link: NexusModsCombat Overhaul focuses on improving health scaling and how skills, weapons, and crew members behave. The idea behind it is that the current scaling system makes weapons too powerful and gives characters an unnatural amount of health to compensate. Battles feel too easy or last too long as a result, with no happy middle ground. Combat Overhaul lowers health pools, while balancing power for weapons based on their type and rarity grade to make each encounter feel more intense, like a dangerous situation where you have to strategize instead of just lobbing shots at the same enemy for five minutes until they die. Improved Combat AICreator: Ixion XVIIDownload link: NexusModsAnother essential battle mod that works well with Combat Overhaul is Improved Combat AI. This one adjusts how opponents behave in battles by making them more aggressive, but also smarter about it. Don't expect some more schmuck with a knife to come charging at you, a rifle-wielding space warrior, from across a big room anymore. Enemies use cover strategically, take advantage of their weapons more often, remember how to use grenades, and generally aim more effectively as well. Starfield HD OverhaulCreator: luxor8071Download link: NexusModsStarfield HD Overhaul is the Starfield equivalent of the Cyberpunk 2077 mod and Witcher 3 mod that improve almost every texture in the game. Like those mods, this one also includes textures at 4K resolution, with a few at 8K, and does so with minimal additional VRAM requirements. If you can run the game as it is, luxor8071 says you can run Starfield HD Overhaul without issue. The improvements apply to the Shattered Space expansion as well, though bear in mind there are a few things the mod doesn't touch, including weapon textures, armor, and planets. The creator said they felt these areas didn't need improvements. Effect Textures EnhancedCreator: Weijiesen - Team EVEDownload link: NexusModsSpeaking of improvements, this mod focuses on improving the quality of smaller effects, things such as the blaze from a gun when you fire it, blood, lasers, lightning, and even Starfield's rather odd-looking fire. It's a small Starfield mod compared to something like Improved Combat AI, but it helps improve all the little interactions and animations that seem slightly off-kilter in the vanilla game. Royal WeathersCreator: JaeDL – Starborn Royalty KnightsDownload link: NexusModsRoyal Weathers is a sweeping overhaul to Starfield's weather system. It unlocks the limit Bethesda put on certain locations, where they could only have one or two weather events maximum, while adding new weather events and making transitions between them more natural. It's all built around logic as well, with weather effects that fit their locations--no rainstorms on barren moons without an atmosphere, for example. The creator included some optional texture packs that improve how certain weather events look as well, all of which are compatible with almost every other Starfield mod. Add Spaceship To Your FleetCreator: BledingueDownload link: NexusModsLike the name suggests, this ship mod lets you just outright add ships to your fleet when you capture them. Normally, you have to go through a few extra steps by designating a captured vessel as your home ship--not a game-ruining problem, sure, but one that feels like a waste of time, especially if you capture ships a lot. Stroud Premium EditionCreator: Vince134Download link: NexusModsThis Starfield mod is for the ship builders and outer space homemakers. It adds more than 50 new, unique habitations for your home ship, including a suite designed specifically with the needs of your Constellation mates in mind. It's a thoughtful mod that takes different ship sizes and preferences into consideration, with mess halls, living quarters, and other units in several configuration sizes, including 1x1, 2x1, and 3x1 units, along with a set of utility modules. Just make sure you leave New Atlantis before installing the mod, or Starfield won't integrate it properly. Ship Builder Tolerance TweaksCreator: keanuWheezeDownload link: NexusModsOn the subject of shipbuilding, Tolerance Tweaks makes adding new modules so much less of a nightmare. Starfield's default handling of unit overlap is quite strict, which makes fitting pieces together and ending up with a build you like more challenging than it needs to be. This mod loosens those restrictions and gives you more grace to have your ship modules touching and even overlapping slightly, making for an easier build and a more natural-looking finished result. No Reactor LimitCreator: LordGregoryDownload link: NexusModsYour ship build depends on the power of your reactor, though Starfield limits how many reactors you can have in each ship. The idea is to push you toward improving your piloting skill and getting higher-class reactors, but the limitations are still annoying to work around, particularly in the early game. This mod lets you put as many reactors as you want or need on your ship. The end result might be an unwieldy nightmare, but hey, at least it's a fully-powered unwieldy nightmare. Betamax's Outpost FrameworkCreator: Betamax76Download link: NexusModsBetamax's Outpost Framework is like Stroud Premium Edition, but for outposts, and it adds so much to Starfield's building. You've got the usual things, like new habitat styles, landing pads, and other big inclusions, along with smaller additions that make creating much easier. Hallways with doors, higher height limits, items that snap properly when you try positioning them, doors and windows designed for specific habitations--and that's just part of the mod's feature list. It also lets you include new pieces that make your space outpost feel more thematically appropriate, such as radar dishes for scan boosting, generators, and trade terminals. Easy DigipickCreator: Ixion XVIIDownload link: NexusModsThis one does what it says on the package, and that's all it needs to be. Starfield's digipick lockpicking is notoriously challenging to get through, and Easy Digipick makes understanding what's required of you much simpler. The base version still requires you to invest in the digipick perk to improve your chances of success, though it also includes a feature that lets you instantly gain ranks in that perk. Synthlight's No Limit ModsCreator: SynthlightDownload link: NexusModsFor this entry, we're going to be highlighting an entire collection of mods from creator Synthlight. This creator has taken it upon themselves to remove just about every restriction from Starfield. They have mods for removing all limits of every ship part, giving you complete freedom over what goes on your ship and how much of that part you can add on. If you're tired of seeing the red error messages whenever you're in the ship builder in Starfield, then just take a look at Synthlight's collection of mods. Improved Follower BehaviorCreator: Deebz96Download link: NexusModsFollowers play a key role in your Starfield experience, as they provide you with combat and dialogue assistance as well as help keep you immersed as you're traveling across planet after planet. However, by default, followers in Starfield can be a little difficult to deal with. To make them more responsive to your in-game actions, you can download the Improved Follower Behavior mod. This mod adds a number of improvements to the reactions and behaviors of any follower you currently have in your party. You'll see followers stay closer to you, engage with enemies when you need them to, and stop acting on their own accord, among other things. Royal GalaxyCreator: JaeDLDownload link: NexusModsThe Royal Galaxy mod is an entire rework of Starfield's basic mechanics. The mod starts by patching in bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, but amps things up from there. With the mod downloaded, you can expect stronger enemies with increased spawns and more diverse weather, encounters, and locations across the entire map. The mod essentially bundles over 50 mods into one, giving you an entirely new experience. One of the most notable aspects of the mod is that it makes Starfield a more challenging RPG in every way, including interactions with vendors, enemies, and even finding Credits to spend. B.A.S.E. - Building Advanced Space EncampmentsCreator: LuxZgDownload link: NexusModsLet's face it, base building isn't Starfield's strongest suit. The outpost system doesn't work nearly as well as it does in a game like Fallout 4, as you don't have access to a ton of structures to build with. The mechanics of base building itself are also difficult, as you can only use pre-fabs that you have to manually place and connect yourself. Fortunately, the B.A.S.E. mod changes everything about base building. The mod completely overhauls base building, adding in individual building items instead of the pre-fabs. You can now use walls, roofs, foundations, ceilings, and more to create the true outer space base of your dreams in Starfield. Also, these building items all snap together, which is the cherry on top for any long-suffering base builder in the Settled Systems. Sit To Add Ship To FleetCreator: wankingSkeeverDownload link: NexusModsOne of the more frustrating aspects of the gameplay in Starfield is trying to capture a ship that you didn't purchase or otherwise acquire. If you attempt to steal an enemy ship, for example, you’ll need to make it your home ship in order to add it to your fleet, which is a time-consuming process. To simplify that entire process, you can download the Sit To Add Ship To Fleet mod. This makes it so that sitting in the pilot's seat automatically adds the ship to your fleet, saving you the trouble of physically driving the ship back to a landing zone and adding it that way. No XP Kill Steal FixCreator: ZzyxzzDownload link: NexusModsThe No XP Kill Steal Fix mod is a massive quality-of-life change that you didn't even know you needed. In Starfield, your party companions can often steal the XP that you would normally gain for yourself from killing an enemy if they land the final shot. While this might not seem like a ton of XP, think about how many times your companions have killed enemies for you. All of that XP will now be given back to you, which might even be enough for an extra level or two that you normally wouldn't have gotten. No Minimum Landing GearCreator: LordGregoryDownload link: NexusModsThere's nothing worse than being done with modding one of your ships with all sorts of unique parts, only to receive an error message about needing landing gear. If you've seen that message one too many times, you can download the No Minimum Landing Gear mod, which makes it so you can equip any ship with only the default landing gear. No matter how much your ship weighs, you don't have to add any additional landing gear parts to your ship. Star Wars - TatooineCreator: radiclown Fox1120 and Rock44Download link: NexusModsThere have been dozens of Star Wars mods added to Starfield over the past year and a half. While you can download both small and large mods to change the game, the Star Wars - Tatooine mod is perfect for players who want new content but don't want to deal with a massive mod in return. The Tatooine mod adds the famed planet as a standalone location in the galaxy, and comes with new creatures, a fully designed map, and gear to find and equip. JetpacksCreator: NahruukDownload link: NexusModsWhile Starfield already has kind of a jetpack by default, the boost pack just doesn't offer the same level of excitement as a traditional jetpack. Fortunately, the Jetpacks mod takes care of all that, adding a fully functional version into the game. All you have to do is press, hold, and you're off soaring into the air without a meter on screen telling you to come down or else you'll plummet to your death.
Title: 30 Best Oblivion Remastered Mods To Download Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2026 20:03:00 -0800 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/best-oblivion-remastered-mods/2900-6502/ Mods were a core part of the experience for PC players with the original Oblivion, adding thousands of community-made updates, fixes, and full-blown expansions. In Oblivion Remastered, mods are not officially supported by Bethesda, so there's no creation kit for players on consoles to download mods. However, mods for the remaster are still fully available and actively being developed by the community. The modding scene has been steadily coming along since Oblivion Remastered's launch, with Nexus Mods seeing new additions every day. Modders will continue to work on new mods and even attempt to port over mods that were made for the original Oblivion. For the time being, though, we have come up with a list of the 30 best mods you can download for Oblivion Remastered right now. These mods are in no particular order, and we've tried to cover a wide range of areas with our selections. You can see a full walkthrough of how to download mods in Oblivion Remastered in our previous guide. Ultimate Engine TweaksCreated by: VP40L0If you're plugged into the Bethesda RPG modding scene at all, you knew this one was coming. The Ultimate Engine Tweaks mod is always one of the most popular and useful mods for any Bethesda game, and the same is true in Oblivion Remastered. This mod tweaks the game engine to remove a large majority of stutters, improve latency, and increase overall performance. All of this is accomplished without any downgrade to visual fidelity. Carry Weight ModifierCreated by: ErokNext up is another classic RPG mod. The Carry Weight Modifier mod allows you to drastically reduce the weight of the items currently in your inventory. The way this mod works in Oblivion Remastered is that it makes your lockpicks weigh -150 pounds. According to the mod creator, this is done due to how the engine is set up. So, in order to make use of this mod, you'll need to always ensure you have at least one lockpick in your inventory. The more lockpicks you have, the more weight you can carry. No Item DegradationCreated by: ErokFollowing the Carry Weight Modifier mod is another quality-of-life mod called No Item Degradation. This mod does exactly what it says it does; it makes it so that all of your weapons and armor don't degrade the more you use them. This essentially cuts out the need for blacksmiths and repair hammers in Oblivion Remastered, giving you one less thing to worry about when you're traveling across Cyrodiil. This doesn't apply to enchantment degradation, though, so you'll still need some Soul Gems to recharge your enchanted weapons. Difficulty Slider FixedCreated by: IxionXVIIIf you've tried to play Oblivion Remastered at some of the higher difficulty levels, you may have noticed that combat is extremely unforgiving. Enemies hit way harder than you expect them to and your damage barely seems to affect them, regardless of what weapon you're using. With the Difficulty Slider Fixed mod, you can take out the strict difficulty levels and instead use a slider system. This allows you to customize the damage taken and damage dealt multipliers to be more in line with what you expect. Now, the Master difficulty level feels much more forgiving compared to how it works by default. Weightless Alchemy and Misc. ItemsCreated by: ExalderanThis mod falls in line with the Carry Weight Modifier mod, but it offers a different experience. If you don't want to worry about your carry weight entirely but still don't want useful items clogging up your capacity, then the Weightless Alchemy and Misc. Items mod is what you want. This mod brings the carrying weight of several items down to zero. The items include arrows, alchemy items, potions, books, soul gems, and other miscellaneous loot you might pick up. Your weapons and armor still weigh their normal amount, but you no longer have to stress about picking up too many arrows or brewing too many potions. Richer VendorsCreated by: ErokIf you've ever gone to a merchant in Oblivion Remastered with a ton of valuable loot to sell but the vendor didn't have enough gold to cover the sale, then the Richer Vendors mod is one you should download. This mod gives all merchants across Cyrodiil the ability to hold 10x their normal gold amount. This means all merchants will have at least 1,000 gold to spend on all of the loot you want to offer them. Horse Whistle - Summon and FollowCreated by: PushTheWinButtonBuying a horse is a rite of passage in Oblivion Remastered. They're certainly not the cheapest thing you can purchase in Cyrodiil, but having one makes your life much easier. Unfortunately, the game doesn't offer a traditional way to summon your horse or issue it any commands. Fortunately, the Horse Whistle mod implements just that, giving you the ability to whistle for your horse. When you use the power, your horse will either teleport to you if it's farther away or slowly walk over to you. You can also make the horse follow you by using the power in conjunction with the waiting mechanic. The Horse Whistle mod only works when you're outside of a city's gates. Less Restrictive Spells and Utility SpellsCreated by: Oblivion6871If you're playing as a mage or simply want to use magicka from time to time in Oblivion Remastered, you'll immediately notice there are quite a few restrictions on spellcasting. The Less Restrictive Spells and Utility Spells mod aims to rectify that, allowing all magic effects to be made available when casting a spell or enchanting an item. You need to have the spell effect learned already, though. The mod also allows you to spellcast and enchant anywhere you want and increases the summon limit to 10, giving you the ability to unleash a horde of minions on enemies. Finally, the mod adds a few utility spells to the game as well, such as True Invisibility, Master Key, and more. Oblivion Remastered High Quality MusicCreated by: DEEJMASTER 333While the music in Oblivion Remastered is extremely well done, it can always be improved. The Oblivion Remastered High Quality Music mod replaces the current audio files in the remaster with HD MP3s from the official soundtrack, making the music sound much crisper and clearer. The audio files in use are of the "highest quality" according to the mod creator, and nearly all of the music in the game is replaced with the HD versions. If you're simply looking for a way to increase the game's fidelity, this mod is a great starting point. Classic Oblivion Color GradingCreated by: WickedzzThe team behind Oblivion Remastered did an absolutely phenomenal job of updating the game's graphics to look much clearer and more modern. However, if you're still in love with the old, more vibrant color palette of the original Oblivion, you can download the Classic Oblivion Color Grading mod. This replaces all of the new landscapes, which are slightly duller in color, with the landscapes of old that feature a much brighter palette. The mod certainly brings back waves of nostalgia as you're traveling through the various roads of Cyrodiil and seeing all of the classic yellow and green colors from the original game. Auto Local Map - Smarter Map OpeningCreated by: Cosmin GOne of the more dated features in Oblivion Remastered is the world map. While it's a little clunky to use, the worst part about it is that to get the view of a local city or dungeon map, you have to zoom in for several seconds on the area you want to see. Well, the Auto Local Map mod fixes that issue, allowing you to immediately see the local map for whatever area you're in. So if you're in Skingrad, opening the map automatically shows the local map of the city rather than the entire world map. Auto Upgrade Leveled ItemsCreated by: TheOneTrueRySometimes, the items you get as a quest reward or through looting aren't anywhere close to your level. To solve that problem, you can download the Auto Upgrade Leveled Items mod, which ensures the items you add to your inventory are matched to your current level. This way, you don't have to sell a valuable enchanted weapon because its damage is far below your other weapons. A More Complete World MapCreated by: DralkkinThe base world map in Oblivion Remastered is quite bland and doesn't have much detail aside from showing you where bodies of water are in Cyrodiil. The A More Complete World Map mod completely overhauls the map, adding some greenery and other colors to it, along with clearly showing you where the dozen-plus roads lead and intersect. This mod also adds previously unmarked locations on the map, giving you extra points of interest to visit and fast travel to in Oblivion Remastered. Quest NPCs RunCreated by: DispensationHave you ever had to complete a quest where following an NPC was part of your mission? Not only can these NPCs get caught in doorways or on other objects, but they also walk extremely slowly to their destination. Fortunately, the Quest NPCs Run mod instills a sense of speed within these NPCs, allowing them to run to their destination rather than gingerly walk there. The mod affects over a dozen quest NPCs in Oblivion Remastered, but it's still being expanded to add more NPCs. Valuable ClutterCreated by: SamFisher338The urge to loot every bit of junk that you come across in Oblivion Remastered is always high for most players, as anything you pick up can be sold to a merchant. However, there are some junk items you think would be more valuable, such as Silver Platters or Uncut Gems. If you're a hoarder in Oblivion Remastered and want more of an incentive to loot every item you find, download the Valuable Clutter mod. This mod adds value to a slew of miscellaneous loot, such as dinnerware, cloth, pelts, gems, tools, and more. The increased value of an item depends on its usefulness, quality, and rarity. Auto Lockpicking Always SuccessCreated by: OdashikonbuThis is a pretty simple mod in Oblivion Remastered. Auto Lockpicking Always Success makes it so whenever you choose to "auto lockpick" a lock, it allows you to immediately bypass the need for the lockpicking mechanic. Now, you don't need to worry about having enough lockpicks to get through a Very Hard lock and can instead worry about what's on the other side of a locked door or inside a locked chest. Staffed - Staves and Weapons Charge IncreasedCreated by: SausageSatanEnchanted weapons are extremely useful and lethal against enemies, but you drain the enchantment charges on the weapons every time you use them. You can download a mod to make Soul Gems more effective in Oblivion Remastered, but the Staffed mod makes it so you're not using Soul Gems as frequently. The mod gives all of your weapons additional charges, allowing them to be used more before the enchantment runs out. You can customize how many additional charges are added, ranging from two times more to giving the weapons over 60,000 charges. Simple Faster HorsesCreated by: StefNOne of the more hilarious and tragic aspects of Oblivion Remastered is that you can technically run faster than most horses in the game. While horses don't run out of stamina as quickly as your character does, horses are generally pretty slow. To make them faster, you can download the Simple Faster Horses mod, which adds 10 speed to nearly every horse you have access to in Cyrodiil. This makes the horses faster than your character, allowing you to speed from point A to point B. Faster Sleep and WaitCreated by: xConfusedA plethora of quests and other world events in Oblivion Remastered require you to rest or wait for hours or even days. Whether you need an NPC to finish research for you or you're waiting for someone to unlock their house, you'll bring up the wait menu or hop into a bed to rest quite often in Cyrodiil. The only issue with this mechanic is that it takes several seconds for the rest menu to progress, forcing you to look at a clock far longer than you want. The Faster Sleep and Wait mod cuts out that waiting, making it so resting and waiting are nearly instantaneous in Oblivion Remastered. You can customize just how much the resting process is sped up through the mod, but it's faster regardless of what you set it at. Fast Travel Everywhere from AnywhereCreated by: ExalderanWhile the fast-travel system in Oblivion Remastered is fairly standard for an open-world game, there's no reason you can't improve upon it. The Fast Travel Everywhere from Anywhere mod allows you to fast travel to any point of interest from any location. This means you don't have to go outside of a cave or dungeon to fast travel to your next destination. The mod also optionally unlocks every fast-travel location on the map in Oblivion Remastered, making it so you don't have to manually visit everywhere to fast travel back there. Improved CameraCreated by: firesyrupYou have a few options when it comes to the camera perspective of your character in Oblivion Remastered. However, if you've grown tired of the same first-person or third-person angles, then check out the Improved Camera mod. This mod changes the camera angle around in third-person to match other action titles, such as 2018's God of War and Resident Evil 4. The new angle is a little more personal, allowing you to engage with enemies and the world in a more fluid manner. Permanent DoomstonesCreated by: SasquatchOblivion Remastered's world is littered with Doomstones, which are large, glowing stones that you can interact with to earn a brief boost in one of your attributes or skills. The Doomstones can also only be used once per day, but that can change with the Permanent Doomstones mod. Not only does the mod allow you to use different Doomstones across the map at any time, but the buffs they provide are permanent for your character. Alternative SprintCreated by: miken1keOne of the biggest quality-of-life changes in the remastered version of Oblivion is the ability to sprint. The original game only allowed you to walk from place to place, which made exploration and dungeon-crawling a true test of patience. While the new sprint feature is fine by default, you can greatly improve it with the Alternative Sprint mod. This mod makes it so sprinting is faster and keeps your character more upright instead of bobbing from side to side as you run. Enemy's Weapon Stays on CorpseCreated by: DispensationA major annoyance in Oblivion Remastered is when you kill an enemy, and the weapon they were using during the fight ends up on the ground or somewhere else entirely. This can make it extremely difficult to loot the weapon, which you often want to add to your inventory to either sell or equip. Fortunately, the Enemy's Weapon Stays on Corpse mod makes it so that any enemy's weapon remains on their body when you go to loot them. Now, you can ensure that you're able to easily loot the weapon you want after defeating a specific enemy. Alchemy OverhaulCreated by: ZzyxzzAlchemy in Oblivion Remastered is drastically different than in Skyrim. The potions you create take effect instantly instead of applying to your character over the course of several seconds. If you prefer the way alchemy works in Skyrim, then you can download the Alchemy Overhaul mod in Oblivion Remastered. This makes it so all potions and poisons take effect over time rather than being instantaneous. Real Lights and LandscapesCreated by: RabbitDoesStuffA surprisingly simple mod that lets you view Oblivion in a new light, the Real Lights And Landscapes mod makes everything feel a bit more immersive. One of the criticisms of Oblivion Remastered was its lack of colour, as players were finding it slightly greywashed and dull compared to the original, which was more confident with its color usage. Real Lights And Landscapes creates warmer, more realistic light that improves both daytime and nighttime ambience. The mod also improves render distance, creates denser vegetation, and creates more accurate reflections in shiny surfaces. You can combine this mod with RabbitDoesStuff's other mod, Realistic Oblivion Reshade, which compliments the lighting tweaks with a full reshade for a fully cinematic look. Static Loot And WorldCreated by: MyrmodionAs Oblivion players will know, once you start getting stronger, the world around you fights back harder. For some, this is a welcome feature, for others, a mere annoyance. With the Static Loot And World mod, the world of Oblivion is completely deleveled--keeping loot, enemies, rewards, and leveled items at a specific set level regardless of how powerful you are. This makes the game far more realistic, in that when you meet a big powerful level 30 beast, it'll wipe you out in one hit if you're still low level. It's a new challenge, but encourages you to rise to the occasion and pick your battles wisely. Spectral Arrow Spawning BowCreated by: WezKalThe Spectral Arrow Spawning Bow mod does what it says on the tin, introducing a new weapon into the game that shoots spectral arrows. What makes this weapon mod stand out is its attention to detail, adding canon-compliant lore as to why this bow, Regavar, exists. The bow itself is a similar strength to the silver bow and can be obtained early on in the game, but the accompanying spectral arrows level up with the player, increasing strength at level 10, 14, 18, and 23. Install the mod, head to Fort Linchal, and learn to wield this eternally loaded weapon. Jobs of OblivionCreated by: rockmikOblivion is an RPG at heart, and what better way to engross yourself in the world of Cyrodiil than by taking on some odd jobs? The Jobs of Oblivion mod allows you to earn money through working various jobs throughout the world. You could be a gardener, a grape-picker at a vineyard, or a guard at someone's house. There are over 130 jobs available in the mod, and you can track them all through the new job book in your inventory. All it takes to start a job is to accept a contract, and each completed job earns you a little extra cash for your other endeavors. Ultimate Dialogue OverhaulCreated by: popllllopWhile Bethesda did manage to revamp much of the original dialogue in Oblivion for the remaster, that doesn't mean the original dialogue was great to begin with. If you want some more life thrown into conversations or while traveling throughout populated cities, check out the Ultimate Dialogue Overhaul mod, which adds hundreds of speaking lines in Oblivion Remastered. Many of these lines were actually cut content or rarely used in the game, so they actually have a place in the game.

See at Amazon Super Mario Maker 2Playing a game with a friend is great, but actually building something together and then playing the end product? Absolutely magical and possible in Super Mario Maker 2. The game allows for up to four players to play a custom level, but the real charm is undoubtedly in the two-player create-a-course mode, with each player using a Joy-Con to build a level that could be an all-time classic or a torture chamber designed in tandem.Read our Super Mario Maker 2 review. See at Amazon Super Mario OdysseyThere's no shortage of Mario games on the Switch currently, but Super Mario Odyssey is still the gold standard on that console. With one player taking control of Mario, the other playing as Cappy the sentient hat, the tag team can combine platforming and level interactions together in blissful harmony. Or they can cause chaos, but it's still fun to watch the mayhem unfold. Odyssey is especially great for co-op with a youngster, as playing as Cappy isn't mechanically intensive.Read our Super Mario Odyssey review. See at Amazon Unravel 2EA's adorable wooly hero Yarny got a friend in Unravel 2, and together the two are a team of cotton co-op fun. You've got the choice of local or online two-player co-op in Unravel 2, and once players are linked by a thread of yarn, Unravel 2's charming mysteries and puzzles feel brilliant when a friend is along for the ride.Read our Unravel 2 review. See at Amazon WarioWare: Get It TogetherWarioWare: Get It Together is all about sharing mini-game fun, but it's worth noting that this game is limited to local co-op. Up to four players can try out a number of weird and fun mini-games here, which incorporate gauntlets of strange action with platforming. The games are colorful, the characters are full of personality, and there's more than enough content here for an evening of Wario fun.Read our WarioWare: Get It Together review. See at Amazon POPUCOMPOPUCOM is a co-op-focused puzzle-platformer that thrives on communication and timing. Designed entirely around cooperative play, the game tasks players with coordinating movement, color-based mechanics, and environmental interactions that can’t be solved alone. Each level pushes partners to think together, calling out switches, lining up actions, and adapting on the fly as new mechanics are introduced. Its bright, inviting presentation makes it approachable, but the puzzles themselves demand real teamwork. Whether played locally or online, POPUCOM turns cooperation into the core of the experience, making every successful solution feel like a genuine shared accomplishment.

Title: More Ways to Play, More Games to Love — GeForce NOW Wraps CES With Linux Support, Fire TV App, Flight Stick Controls Date: Thu, 08 Jan 2026 14:00:00 +0000 Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-ces-2026-recap/ NVIDIA is wrapping up a big week at the CES trade show with a set of GeForce NOW announcements that are bringing more ways to play and more games to the cloud. From new native apps for Linux and Amazon Fire TV streaming sticks to hands-on throttle-and-stick (HOTAS) support for simulation fans and a new single sign-on option, GeForce NOW is expanding across devices and making it easier to jump straight into gameplay. Topping it off, a new wave of AAA titles — including IO Interactive’s 007 First Light, Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem and Pearl Abyss’ Crimson Desert — is gearing up to join the GeForce NOW library for high-fidelity, low-latency streaming across the globe. Get ready with the six new games available to stream this week. Leveling Up Where Gamers Play The family of GeForce NOW supported devices is growing. A new native GeForce NOW app is launching in beta for Linux, starting with Ubuntu 24.04 and later. This answers a long-standing request from the gaming community, turning compatible systems into RTX-powered gaming rigs that can stream at up to 5K resolution and 120 frames per second (fps) or 1080p 360 fps. With rendering handled in the cloud, Linux gamers can tap into ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS and other RTX features without needing a local, high-end GPU. Things are heating up: GeForce NOW on Fire TV streaming sticks. A new native app for Amazon Fire TV streaming sticks transforms the tiny device into a big-screen cloud gaming endpoint, giving members another way to stream their PC libraries straight to the TV with a gamepad in hand. It builds on existing device support, making it easier for gamers to pick up and play from the couch without a console or gaming PC attached. Clearer Skies Ahead  Cleared for takeoff in the cloud. Flight control support has landed in the cloud, letting virtual pilots connect their favorite gear — including industry-leading Thrustmaster and Logitech setups — to custom HOTAS configurations. Whether locking in a full desktop throttle-and-stick rig or fine-tuning a split cockpit arrangement, everything’s ready for takeoff. Paired with the incredible RTX 5080-powered performance available to Ultimate members, plus ultralow-latency streaming and NVIDIA Reflex in supported titles, pilots can now enjoy ultra-precise, hyper-immersive flight experiences straight from the cloud. Soaring over detailed landscapes in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, dogfighting in War Thunder or exploring the stars in Elite Dangerous has never felt smoother. Easier Sign-Ins, Faster Game Time GeForce NOW now supports new games — and more ways to get into them faster. Because remembering passwords is so last season. Battle.net single sign-on recently joined the service, letting members jump straight into supported titles without juggling extra credentials each time. And coming soon early this year, Gaijin.net integration will make takeoff even smoother — one simple sign-on connects more game libraries across devices. Fewer passwords and pop-ups mean more time playing — whether on a desktop, laptop, handheld device or TV. Next Up in the Cloud A new wave of AAA titles is headed to GeForce NOW, bringing spies, survivors and freeswords to the cloud for members to stream across their favorite devices. The games each bring a distinct flavor — from stealthy espionage to nerve-shredding horror and gritty fantasy combat — and they’re all gearing up to join an already-stacked GeForce NOW library when they launch on PC. Earn the number. IO Interactive’s 007 First Light brings a modern James Bond origin story to the cloud when the PC title launches May 27, inviting members to step into the shadows as Bond begins his journey. Experience a balanced mix of stealth and action built around a “breathing” gameplay loop with IOI’s cinematic, set-piece-driven storytelling. Approach encounters through stealth, direct action or creative improvisation, with multiple viable paths to each objective that let players define Bond’s style. Welcome to the Wrenwood Hotel — late checkout is not recommended. Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem continues the legendary survival-horror saga with a new chapter that doubles down on tense exploration, eerie environments and resource-tight combat. Expect dimly lit corridors, unsettling encounters and that classic feeling of weighing every bullet and healing item before moving forward when playing as Grace, and exhilarating, death-defying action when playing as Leon. Everything matters in the cloud. Gaijin Entertainment’s Active Matter, coming this year, is a realistic military shooter where players join dangerous raids for loot or intense player vs. player battles set in a fractured multiverse. Active matter can be harvested from active matter-transformed creatures or seized from other players. Join this never-ending hunt to improve the chances to find the way out of the time loop. Open world, closed casket. Pearl Abyss’ Crimson Desert is a stunning open-world action adventure set in a war-torn fantasy land, pairing large-scale exploration with cinematic storytelling and hard-hitting, combo-focused combat. One moment is a quiet ride across windswept plains, the next is a chaotic clash against towering foes with mystical power effects lighting up the battlefield. Playing these titles on GeForce NOW means jumping into big-budget experiences with RTX 5080-class performance, high frame rates and advanced graphics features on a wide range of devices, without worrying about downloads, patches or local hardware requirements. Members can pick up the same adventure on a desktop, laptop, handheld device or TV, letting each of these worlds shine wherever and however they choose to play. Hello New Games Welcome back to the plague. The eerie world of Pathologic 3, from Ice-Pick Lodge and tinyBuild, invites players to step once again into a haunting town teetering on the edge of disaster. Time is fleeting, trust is scarce and every conversation feels like a test of loyalty — or survival. With its signature blend of tension, philosophy and dark humor, Pathologic 3 doesn’t just tell a story; it dares players to live through it. In addition, members can look for the following: StarRupture (New release on Steam, Jan. 6) Ancient Farm (New release on Steam, Jan, 87) Pathologic 3 (New release on Steam, Jan. 9) Blood West (Epic Games Store) Paradise Killer (Epic Games Store) Supermarket Simulator (Xbox, available on Game Pass) GeForce RTX 5080-ready game: HITMAN – World of Assassination (Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox, available on Game Pass) What are you planning to play this weekend? Title: Reanimal hands-on: A haunting co-op platformer built on trust, timing, and fear Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2026 16:04:38 +0000 Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/02/11/reanimal-hands-on-a-haunting-co-op-platformer-built-on-trust-timing-and-fear/ Tarsier Studios is no stranger to invading our dreams. Its Little Nightmares series scared up some wonderfully disturbing gameplay that has lived long in memory, and now its spiritual sibling Reanimal is ready to pull us into another intense co-op platforming experience.  I was given access to the full game ahead of its February 13 release to feel first-hand the many delightful horrors that await.   A dark, dreamlike opening Reanimal doesn’t waste any time, with a disconcerting intro to its protagonists. I started as The Boy, floating alone in a boat adrift in a sea of darkness. A press of R2 drove me towards a single red light bobbing on the horizon. That light led to another. And then another. Until eventually I stopped to haul a masked figure out of the sea…who immediately tried to strangle The Boy, my DualSense controller shuddering in the attempt. It turns out this was The Boy’s sister, their reunion a sharp tone-setter for the brutal world ahead and an indication of how vital their collaboration is to survive. Varied environments keep you guessing While Reanimal starts off in bobbing waters, the setting changes and evolves in your search for the siblings’ friends Hood, Bucket, and Bandage. Your adventure across a fragmented island pushes you to an abandoned factory, an unsettling forest, a sinkhole-plagued city, and a waterlogged workshop, just for starters, before things vastly open up for more non-linear exploration. Each area demonstrates that Tarsier can make practically anything creepy, with derelict gas stations, a bank of rattling washing machines and even playground animals feeling like an unspoken threat. A focus on visual storytelling As with the Little Nightmares series, Reanimal relies on minimal dialogue to convey its story. The characters speak in places, but many of its narrative beats are told through body language and smart use of camera angles to convey claustrophobia, tension, and direction. Not to mention the level design, which always provides a clue to your next objective or where to go, albeit often subtly. Speaking of design… Sounds to make you quiver Great audio design is essential to any horror game, and Tarsier leans into its genre experience with a creeping aural dread that can lurch into a full-blown jump scare. Music is used sparingly, leaving the sound effects to deliver the shivers and the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback to accentuate the shudders. A particular favourite of mine was the distant jingle of an ice cream van which foreshadowed…well, let’s just say I definitely screamed for ice cream. Teamwork is essential If you don’t have a human partner to survive with, Reanimal’s co-op artificial intelligence is more than capable of keeping you company. In my playthrough, The Girl followed quickly when needed, swiftly responding to a press of the Triangle button when we needed to give each other a boost to out-of-reach platforms. Alternatively, a tap of L1 gets her to interact with certain elements in the environment. For example, one puzzle required me to walk across a giant metal drum which was spinning too fast to traverse. The Girl was prompted to flip a switch to temporarily stop the drum from rotating, long enough for me to get across it and create a platform for her to follow. The co-op AI even occasionally performed acts that pushed me into action. During a particularly tense sequence involving the inside of a runaway van, a giant smashed through a window in an attempt to grab the masked siblings. Given the game’s general avoidance of direct combat, my first instinct was to hide, but my partner leapt up to strike the brute, making me realise I had a weapon to join in the attack. Chilling set pieces are never far away You’ll be doing a lot of sneaking, running, and hiding in the many haunting scenarios that make up Reanimal, with cinematic chases and rooms full of strange, slithering skin. One of my personal highlights was preceded by a crackling night-time movie theatre, with awkwardly posed bodies and shadowy flickers which made for a deeply unsettling experience. And while I died many times in some of the trickier areas, the quick respawn points were never far from where I made my mortal errors. It’s not just about primal survival Environmental puzzles play a big part of the game, ranging from simply finding wheels for a pump trolley, to more elaborate tasks. One had me in a forest of cut trees, where a solitary saw embedded in one trunk hinted at what my next action should be. Another had the siblings’ use a car for a battering ram, take a complex detour to rescue Hood, then have to find and fill a gas canister to refuel the car to escape an increasingly hostile situation. There are many secrets in the shadows Hidden away in the dark corners of the game are collectibles such as masks and concept art to find, some requiring steely nerves, keen eyes or just the twisted desire to dive into areas which go squelch in the night.  Better bring a flashlight – you’ll see how dark things can get when Reanimal launches on PS5 February 13.
Title: No Man’s Sky: Remnant update introduces gravity gun, live today Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2026 14:00:17 +0000 Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/02/11/no-mans-sky-remnant-update-introduces-gravity-gun-live-today/ Last year was a big year for No Man’s Sky. Even we struggle to know how we pulled off so many large updates last year –  Worlds Part II and Voyagers were both transformational and released in the same year, interspersed with smaller but significant updates in Relics, Beacon and Breach. As we head into our 10th year post release, our small team is excited for our first update of the year. Play Video Our new update is called Remnant and it introduces something that we’ve been wanting to give players since the very beginning – a gravity gun! The Gravitino Coil is a powerful new anti-gravity module for your multi-tool. It turns No Man’s Sky into a physics playground. Allowing you to grab large objects and fling, toss or carefully carry them around the world.Salvage and debris that could always be found on planets can now be collected and recycled for rare and highly prized resources. New trucks, tipping flatbeds and haulers can be constructed, to transport resources back to industrial yards for reclamation. You can work alone or join a salvage crew with friends. It creates this really fun and tactile new loop of searching for wrecks, loading trucks full of cargo and hauling across the alien landscape to industrial yards to gain new loot and rewards. Sorting and depositing materials in these all-new Waste Processing Plants will reap great rewards. Some of the scrap is highly volatile though and must be transported extremely carefully. It’s hard to resist over-stacking your truck, finding one more piece you think you can cram in, and then trying desperately to transport this house of cards on the back of your flatbed. Our gravity gun is an industrial tool, but it can also be used as a ballistic weapon, grabbing sentinels or fling heavy objects, turning them into projectiles.  Vehicles can be hugely customised, to create bespoke trucks and haulers for your needs. Build your own brightly coloured incinerators, spider legged sci-fi explorer or heavily armed military vehicles with tank tracks. The Remnant Update comes with a limited-time community expedition. It brings travellers together in convoys to clean up and reclaim a planet covered in wrecks and salvage. Perhaps you’ll be a hauler, or the gravity gun wielding ground crew or maybe a scary yard operator. There are beautiful rewards, including dozens of new vehicle parts, and an all-new beautifully crafted armour set, with plush, padded fabrics and ornate steam punk detailing. 2026 represents 10 years since we launched on PlayStation and I couldn’t be prouder. For any game to reach such a milestone is a privilege. It wouldn’t be possible without your continued support and we genuinely appreciate it. Our journey continues.
Title: New Helldivers 2 update out today Date: Tue, 10 Feb 2026 13:00:19 +0000 Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/02/10/new-helldivers-2-update-out-today/ In an unprecedented and unforeseeable event, the Cyborgs have returned to once again threaten the liberty and sovereignty of Super Earth and its inhabitants. This nightmarish turn of events follows the discovery that the Automatons seized the schematics for the Star of Peace with the intent to build one for themselves and use it for their dark and violent purpose. They have been tasked by the Cyborg Legion to carry out these crimes. Play Video The Helldivers have been ordered to take on the dark and grim streets of Cyberstan’s cities and stop this collusion of bots and Cyborgs in its tracks! The factory cities Now Super Earth is taking the fight to the heart of Cyberstan. Drop into the bot homeworld and prepare to breach the fortress walls of their massive factory cities. Fight through the inhospitable landscapes that power the Automaton war machine: industrial complexes that are heavily defended with hazards around every corner. The community of Helldivers must work together to clear a path through Cyberstan’s factory cities–choose which cities to destroy, making sure to bring down every building and leave no bot standing as you democratize these heartless machines. New mission & objectives Your primary mission will be to stop the production of more Cyborgs, as well as compromise Automaton defenses trying to stand in your way. Helldivers will also have the opportunity to clean up: destroy their mega factories building by building, and tear down the symbolic statues of the war criminals and terrorists revered by Cyborg scum in order to further destabilize and demoralize their regime. But beware–an old familiar threat rises in these dark, foreboding streets: the Cyborgs have returned with new weapons of mass destruction. Old enemies return You must face down three new types of enemies in the Cyborg subfaction. Outsmart the Agitators, who command the Automaton legion in the field, are heavily armored and can take control of enemy squads, making tactical decisions on the battlefield. Fight them while the Cyborg Radicals rush you from every side to make the fight up close and personal. They are the most extreme vision of a wretched Cyborg-run future: they push their bodies to the limit with cybernetic and bio-enhancements, turning themselves into a mockery of humanity. And finally, fight the Vox Engine: the Voice of the Cyborg Legion. This war machine, piloted by a high-ranking Cyborg officer, rolls across the battlefield, blaring Cyborg’s propaganda. It is armed with dual laser cannons, rockets, laser gatlings–all to ensure no one can stop the spread of their message. Helldivers call for aid And Super Earth shall answer! Title: Romeo is a Dead Man – Suda 51 and director Ren Yamazaki discuss controlled chaos of development Date: Mon, 09 Feb 2026 14:00:26 +0000 Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/02/09/romeo-is-a-dead-man-suda-51-and-director-ren-yamazaki-discuss-controlled-chaos-of-development/ Hey PlayStation Blog readers, ever hear the story of the FBI Space-Time Police Special Agent Romeo, who takes down space-time criminals in search of his lost girlfriend? No? Well, you’ll be able to find out when Romeo is a Dead Man launches on February 11!  We’ve uploaded one final trailer for you all today featuring some brand new music that’ll be in the game. Seeing is believing as they say, so take a good hard look. Play Video As you can see we’re getting some pretty serious artists to contribute to the game’s soundtrack, further reinforcing Romeo is a Dead Man as a dead-serious action-adventure game. How serious exactly? Well, we asked Grasshopper Manufacture CEO, director, and scenario writer Goichi Suda (pictured left) and co-director and scenario writer Ren Yamazaki (pictured right) to find out. The character clicked as soon as they realized Romeo was also DeadMan Daisuke Koyama: Is the game based on Shakespeare’s play? What made Romeo’s story take the form it has now?  Goichi Suda: It’s not entirely based on Shakespeare, no. The protagonist was always named Romeo, and if we were going to include a character named Juliet at all we figured it’d be something of a cameo at first. While writing the script, though, we noticed she became more of an important character as it went along.  Romeo and his grandfather Ben are pretty clearly based on the old man/young man dynamics you see in Back to the Future or Rick and Morty, and we originally figured it would be about their journeys through space-time. But when we threw Juliet in there, it was like a missed connection or something slowly taking shape into a full-blown relationship. In other words, we never really thought too hard about making this into a “tragedy” like the original play.  So Suda-san originally came up with the character of Romeo and wrote the basic scenario for the game, and then Yamazaki-san turned it into a full script, right? What kind of character is Romeo to you?  Ren Yamazaki: Compared to previous protagonists Suda has written, I think he’s quite a serious and straightforward character with no hidden agenda.  Suda: I wanted to write the story of a good-natured young man maturing over time. Travis, the protagonist of the last scenario I wrote—No More Heroes 3—had a wild and violent journey, so I wanted a protagonist who’d be the exact opposite of that. He ended up being a masked protagonist, too. Suda: I always wanted Romeo Stargazer to be a character that left a strong impression not just through his in-game skills and weapons, but as a character too. Our past titles feature all sorts of characters who are loved by gamers, so I really thought hard about how to make Romeo a character who’d be just as praised. When Romeo got the DeadMan moniker along the way, he really started to come to life in a way that made me confident in him. I thought to myself, like, “Romeo really is DeadMan!” and then it all kind of fell into place. That’s why we made it the title, too.  The action itself is quite the strong-style hack-and-slash, isn’t it? Yamazaki: Yeah, I was firm about that. So many different aspects and systems of the game changed throughout development, but in my discussions with our main programmer, Hironaka, we made sure the battle system delivered a strong sense of action from the beginning to the end of development. How’s the combat balanced? Suda: In a full course dinner, the ingredients used are usually pretty standard no matter where you go, right? Looking at this game’s development as a full course meal, when it comes to graphics, sound design, and also the actual gameplay, we ended up using all sorts of ingredients that you normally wouldn’t find in a regular kitchen. But no matter what ingredients we were handed we used them to our fullest ability, which I think is our strongest point as a studio. We kept making adjustments right to the very end to create a perfect rhythm to our own course meal. Is there anything about the action you paid particular attention to? Suda: The big finisher—Bloody Summer—I paid a lot of attention to how exactly it felt, and to that end the general movement of swords were refined meticulously so that it would feel as authentic as possible. I’m pretty sure I also made a lot of adjustments to the actual moment of impact, but that was years ago development-wise now and I’ve totally forgotten what exactly I requested (laughs). Action games are the kind of thing that get better and better with each and every minor tweak.  We also paid special attention to how many enemies appear and where in each level. Each time I played through the game to make adjustments, I imagined myself to be playing it for the first time and really considered the emotions that come with that. Even on a first playthrough, I really wanted it to feel as smooth as it is challenging, and I think we got a good balance there. The end result is obviously dependent on the players, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how it’s received by the public. Romeo uses both swords and guns. Was it hard to balance the action between the two?  Yamazaki: When you think of it at a pure game design level, close combat weapons and ranged weapons are kind of polar opposites in terms of action. I paid a lot of attention to creating situations where both would be valid options to use. Of course, shooting an enemy from outside their own range of attack is still the strongest method of attack, technically.  That’s specifically why we introduced the Bloody Summer system, the crazy finisher move that only charges when you attack enemies with close combat weapons. Sure, it’s riskier because there’s far more of a chance of taking damage as well, but that’s the gamble. It’s safer to hit enemies from afar with your guns, but the gauge doesn’t fill. Basically it’s a battle of merits and demerits that has to be figured out moment-to-moment to ensure your victory. There’s also the Bastard system where you summon support characters. Where did this idea come from? Yamazaki: We were already experimenting with gimmick skills outside of the main character’s regular move set in Travis Strikes Again and No More Heroes 3. Bastards are kind of a natural evolution of what we were doing there. Suda was pretty adamant about adding in a crafting system in the game, and when we were brainstorming on two separate skill and crafting systems, we realized it might be more interesting if they were connected to each other. There’s a ton of variations to make, so be sure to switch them out whenever you can. Suda: The Bastards really have a nice sense of presence in the game itself. They alter the way you approach battles, and you really have to think about how you raise them, not to mention what the ideal loadout is at any given time. If you raise them right, they end up being stronger than your regular weapons. Also, on PlayStation, when you harvest Bastards from the soil they react to the adaptive triggers.  That’s one way of using them. Do you have any Bastards you’re particularly fond of?  Suda: The one I used right to the end was called Mictlantecuhtli. Definitely my strongest. Also, FrostBolt, which freezes enemies.  Yamazaki: It was SuicideAttack for me, which blows itself up. The more you raise it, the stronger it gets. I think it’ll be fun for everyone to come up with their own combinations. Make sure to give a try! And if you do, keep playing all the way to the end–the second half in particular’s got quite the surprises in store.  On getting players into the action as fast as possible It seems in classic Grasshopper style, the story itself and its presentation is trying to confuse players. The opening sequence is pure chaos. Suda: The opening in particular is full speed ahead, yeah. I think it’s quite the good composition, if I do say so myself. If we’re gonna cause some ruckus right off the bat, we might as well equally get the player in the thick of the action as fast as possible so they don’t have to think too long about it. I’m just glad if they can enjoy the action right from the start.  Yamazaki: I’ve been at the company for quite some time now, so I’m really used to Suda’s storytelling style. I guess from that perspective, it’s nothing too unusual for me. It’s, like, yeah, business as usual. Of course, I understand it’s probably confusing to first-time players, but that confusion itself is fun to see. I’m especially excited for how people will react to the story as a whole. Suda: There’s plenty of things that go unused over the course of game development. I really hate just leaving things on the cutting room floor, so I try to use as much of it as possible. The opening to the game used to be much longer, but due to a variety of factors it turned into what it is now. Of the things that seemed like they might go unused, we tried to put all of them in full right from the get-go, so the opening is basically the best possible outcome of it. We wanted players to feel this kind of rush going into it that leads them straight into the action.  Right, a longer opening makes people impatient. Is that how you convinced the staff, too?  Suda: Actually, about half the staff working on Romeo is a Dead Man were joining Grasshopper for the first time, and I probably think they felt a huge kind of anxiety about it throughout the entire production.  How do you mean? Suda: I think for the most part everyone made it not really understanding what kind of game it would eventually turn into. I think only around debugging time did most people really start to see the whole shape of the game as it was. Why do you think that happens? Suda: Our development style is kind of ad-libbed, I’d say. Basically we bring a bunch of ideas to the meetings and develop them just through talk and pick apart what seems like something worth implementing, and for the most part we just pick the most interesting ideas and ad-lib ways to put them in. But as the number of staff involved with development increases, that becomes more and more difficult. At a sheer numbers level, it’s hard to communicate those ideas to every member of every section of the company. Sounds very ad-libbed to me. Suda: But I think that feeling of a bunch of interesting ideas packed into one is what sets Grasshopper games apart. Especially when it comes to action games, they’re not really something where you decide on a super rigid spec sheet from the beginning and follow it all the way through—it changes throughout development. You basically have to keep polishing really small parts to make the overall product better. That kind of ad-libbing and improvisation is what connects the chaos of the game’s opening to the various forms of expression we see used in the rest of the game too, right? Yamazaki: Of course, Suda’s directing style and the new staff are one thing, but about half the staff is made up of long-time members who more or less understand the unique culture that makes the base of our development cycle. I’m not sure if that’s an advantage or a disadvantage, but that’s precisely where that bold flavor unique to our games comes through; I think that really works for the people who enjoy it, and is more of an acquired taste for a first-timer. It’s kind of like a ramen shop with a thick, strong broth.  But you don’t plan on changing that, do you? Yamazaki: There are definitely times we consider making things a more general, salty flavor for the  public at large; though, I’m not sure it works out that way even when we try (laughs). Usually I start out that way, but somewhere along the way I get bored with the blandness and end up putting a bunch of spice in without even realizing. Suda: There are already enough “orthodox” games out there to begin with, and I don’t think it’s our place to compete with them. The world is already overflowing with “perfect” games that look like something Dekisugi-kun (from Doraemon) would make. But if they were all Dekisugi-kun games, then there’d really be nothing interesting. We definitely need more Nobitas in the world, and I think our studio is one of them. Whether or not Doraemon is with us, who knows? (laughs) Embrace the chaos on February 11 How was the interview? Our quirky action game’s got a strong backbone to it. It definitely requires a bit of skill; each enemy’s got its own characteristics and combat changes with each weapon. Also, the stronger you make Romeo, his weapons, and support characters through mini-games, the battle encounters themselves evolve with it. This thing’s got some pretty satisfying punch to it, if I do say so myself. Do what you want, however you want it. If I was to measure what kind of excitement we want to deliver, imagine you order ramen and gyoza, and then you get what looks just like ramen. But then you finish the soup, and bam, at the bottom of the bowl: there was your gyoza the whole time! You’ll be like, “whoa, who knew video games could be this free?” Anyway, we hope you can feel the overflowing passion, joy, and pure human spirit that radiates from Romeo is a Dead Man. Give it a try!

Title: 1200 Ubisoft staff go on strike against Assassin's Creed company's massive cutbacks Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2026 17:38:36 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/1200-ubisoft-staff-go-on-strike-against-assassins-creed-companys-massive-cutbacks At least 1,200 Ubisoft developers have gone on strike across Paris and Milan in response to the company’s recent massive cutbacks and change of policy towards remote-working. That’s the figure given for yesterday’s bout of strike action by Marc Rutschlé, Ubisoft Paris staffer and a representative of the union Solidaires Informatique, in a statement to the socialist agitators of GamesIndustry.biz. The primary inspiration for this week’s strike is Ubisoft’s cancellation or closure of several games and studios, with total job losses still to be confirmed but likely to be in the hundreds. The strikers are also pissed off about delayed or inadequate pay rises, together with Ubisoft’s new ban on remote or hybrid working (employees will get a yearly allowance of homeworking days instead). In general, they incline to the belief that Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot is a big smelly bumface who should be looking for a new job. Read more

Warren! Warren! ARRGGHHH! WHAAAA! HUHHHH! Replaced, the long-in-development dystopian platformer from Sad Cat Studios, keeps shouting my last name at me. It might because the game's main character, a jacketed gap jumper and baddie shooter, is called Warren. It might also because I did plenty of falling and accidentally got shot by a robo-sniper in Replaced's demo, which is now live ahead of the full thing's release next month. Read more

Protected by his headphones, Felix is on a mission to stop the authoritarian Leader from issuing the Absolute Tone, which will “strip every citizen of their humanity forever”. Title: Reanimal review – the dollhouse horror of Little Nightmares gives way to a grimier tale of war and slaughter Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2026 16:21:51 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/reanimal-review-the-dollhouse-horror-of-little-nightmares-gives-way-to-a-grimier-tale-of-war-and-slaughter In an industry pestered by calls to "think of the children", Tarsier’s games are useful reminders that children can be utterly depraved in ways no coddling adult would ever dream. Later in Reanimal, the developer’s latest, strictly 'co-optional' horror game, two kids rip an eyeball out of a massive, sunken horse skull and shove it into what I sincerely hope is the eyesocket of a slumbering whale. Somehow, this is necessary to advance. It’s the kind of thing that would only occur to children, because children do not reason like 'we' do, those disgusting creeps. They sense that they exist in a world that isn’t for them: a world of baffling laws, high shelves, and everyday monstrosity; a world they’re required to 'grow into' by means of repeated shedding and sprouting and subjection - milk teeth and pubic hair and doing your goddamn chores. So they instinctively come up with ways to screw with the system, twist its horrible logic against itself. Why not push a horse’s eyeball into a whale? Read more
Title: Romeo is a Dead Man's most beguiling spectacle is its astral fish tank menu Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2026 15:28:33 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/romeo-is-a-dead-mans-most-beguiling-spectacle-is-its-astral-fish-tank-menu Romeo is a Dead Man, Grasshopper Manufacture’s eccentric new hack 'n' slash, is out today. I quite like it. I especially like its main menu screen, a strangely hypnotic fish tank in which captive planets float alongside a coral ballet trophy, and the menu’s text strings try to escape when you’re not looking. There is, precisely, one fish. Read more
