Title: Don’t Hold Your Breath For A Dead By Daylight Sequel Date: Mon, 15 Jun 2026 01:59:33 +0000 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/dont-hold-your-breath-for-a-dead-by-daylight-sequel/ Dead by Daylight turns 10 years old today, June 14. The asymmetrical horror multiplayer game has been leading the pack since its debut, helping popularize the genre that has grown into a (haunted) cottage industry over the course of that decade. What began as a 4v1 game of horror-movie homages has grown into a horror museum of sorts, playing host to dozens of licensed collaborations with iconic horror staples like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Ringu, and The Walking Dead, as well as many striking original characters.  Ahead of DBD's anniversary celebration, I caught up with some members of the Behaviour Interactive team to discuss all they've revealed today, which includes things like a new liminal-space map, overhauls to both gameplay and visuals, and a zombie mode. But one thing not in the works, the team told me, is Dead by Daylight 2.  "We think the answer is 'no,'" executive producer Jose Ramos told me. "Of course, you never say never about anything, but we are confident that the answer is no. [We're] making sure that we're expanding our efforts in order to reinvest in the game where it deserves to have strong investment being done. [We want to] make sure that we have a team that has time to think about DBD, and which doesn't have to run, run, run, because running a live-service game is tough, right? The content cadence, etc. "So we are making sure that those teams have time to breathe, have time to think, that they can take the time to design properly, and build the technical foundations that are going to offer them more tools and more possibilities. If we were ever to create a DBD 2, it will play differently, for sure. It will be different, it will feel different, and that's not something that we really want--for our players to just lose that feeling of home." Instead of a sequel, Behaviour Interactive feels it can just keep growing DBD itself, so players never have to start over. Building on a game now a decade old does come with limitations, but creative director Dave Richard says the team doesn't take DBD's success for granted, and in lieu of a sequel, the team would sooner look to add new game modes to DBD as well as new games within the DBD universe that aren't a sequel.  "Oh, there's a challenge that comes with it, but we're grateful to have it. It's so precious, so it's not something that's holding us to the ground; it's helping us reach these new places. I would imagine a Dead by Daylight universe game that's not DBD 2, but that is something completely different that can live within this universe rather than doing a sequel," Richard continued. "And then in the Dead by Daylight ecosystem that exists right now, the core game can scale and become multiple other scenarios and multiple other ways to play inside that universe without us having to ever request the players buy DBD again, start from scratch, reinvest their time. We want to respect that, and [DBD's foundation] doesn't stop us from doing anything really." Behaviour revealed a lot more about its trailblazing horror multiplayer game during a 10th-anniversary stream. You can see everything announced for Dead by Daylight here, as well as learn why DBD has gotten more violent over the years.
Title: Dead By Daylight Is More Violent Than Ever, And The Devs Told Me Why Date: Mon, 15 Jun 2026 01:58:55 +0000 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/dead-by-daylight-is-more-violent-than-ever-and-the-devs-told-me-why/ Dead by Daylight is now 10 years old and has been played by 70 million players worldwide, making it one of the older and most successful live-service games--and horror games--ever made. It's changed a lot over those years, but one change you may have noticed is in its depictions of violence.  The game has gotten more graphic over time, the game's creative director Dave Richard explained to me. It's been a conscious decision by the team, and he explained how pop culture's increased interest in horror led to it. "When we started Dead by Daylight, we wanted to be as accessible as possible. We've talked of other games like Outlast, for example, and you know, [Outlast developer Red Barrels] are our neighbors. We love them, but we wanted DBD to be scary, thrilling, but also accessible to more people, so that subjects that are too disgusting, or too violent, or, you know, too horror, would not be part of Dead by Daylight, so that we get as many people as possible.  "But today we're revising this level, and we've been doing it through the years, raising the volume a little bit more every year. With the horror renewal and people getting into [ the genre more], it's like, they want more. They're not as sensitive to it than in previous years, and so I think it's part of our normal evolution that we get, more gory, more violent, and you can see that in the [kill animations called] moris, the moris is in the early days [versus] the moris today." Richard said horror is "more interacted with and celebrated today than it was, you know, 20 years ago, or even 10 years ago. As a horror fan, I'm sure you share the feeling. It's just awesome to see, and it's really, really inspiring." The violence "volume" being turned up suits DBD's future well, as Behaviour has recently revealed a great number of changes coming to the game, including a collab with the Terrifier franchise, which is well known for its especially unflinching violence. You can read about everything new coming to Dead by Daylight, and why there's likely never to be a Dead by Daylight 2.
Title: Everything Announced For Dead By Daylight During Its 10th Anniversary Stream Date: Mon, 15 Jun 2026 01:58:26 +0000 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/everything-announced-for-dead-by-daylight-during-its-10th-anniversary-stream/ Dead by Daylight turns 10 years old today, and for its anniversary, the team at Behaviour Interactive has announced a ton of things coming to the game, both in the short and long term. We've rounded up all of those announcements in one place in case you missed the stream, and you can find that stream below, too. Combined with those announcements are additional insights from my recent interview with the team ahead of the anniversary showcase. Here's everything DBD fans need to know about what's coming to the game. In This Article New killers: Jason Voorhees, Art the Clown, and Frank StoneNew survivor: Shane WiigwaasNew map: mallNew collabs and cosmeticsNew game modesRevamped onboarding and visualsDead by Daylight movie New killers: Jason Voorhees, Art the Clown, and Frank Stone This one was actually previously announced, but the studio showed off more about Jason, who comes to the game on June 16 as its latest crossover killer. Executive producer Jose Ramos told me in a pre-stream interview that the conversation about finally bringing Jason to DBD "accelerated in the past couple of years," after the license was in limbo due to a well-documented Hollywood legal feud. Jason's kit includes an ability that lets him quickly phase from one area of the map to another, meant to mimic the slasher's way of almost magically appearing in front of his near-future victims. Additionally, DBD is crossing over with Terrifier, the ultra-violent indie horror series starring Art the Clown. This collaboration will follow later this year, as the team told me it likes to do four chapters annually, with half of them being licensed crossovers. Look for Art's unforgettable face to pop up in DBD this November. In 2027, Frank Stone, the killer at the heart of DBD lore and the focus of Supermassive's DBD spin-off game, The Casting of Frank Stone, will also come to the game. Chorus of Sin, a "community-driven" chapter, is coming on August 25, too. New survivor: Shane Wiigwaas DBD is also adding its first indigenous character. That character, Shane, was molded into form thanks to a "very, very precious collab" with a representative of the Anishinaabe tribe who helped Behaviour forge who Shane is "for specifically this community," creative director Dave Richard told me. Shane will come to the game as part of DBD's next chapter, The Life Road, on June 25. New map: mall A new map is coming soon in the form of a mall that appeals to two of the most requested aesthetics players have clamored for. Ramos explained to me how the mall came to be.  "Every quarter, we run a survey and we open it to the community in game and on social media, and each time we have more than 100,000 respondents. [One] of our questions recently was about our map strategy, like, what are the themes that you would love to see eventually come into the game? And when we did that survey, number one was a mall, that's the one thing they wanted to see. Number two was Backrooms." The mall map is meant to appeal to both those who requested it specifically and those who wanted a liminal-space experience in DBD. Based on my Instagram algorithm, that's a perfectly reasonable fit.  Though Ramos noted that the map is not a true Backrooms-like maze of shifting, yellow corridors, neither as a collab nor a specific homage, it is meant to capture the vibe of liminal horror much as Backrooms content does. Richard also noted that, though the map is coming soon, it following on the heels of the Backrooms movie is merely a coincidence.  New collabs and cosmetics In addition to the two new licensed killers coming to DBD, more cosmetics, including some other licensed crossovers, are on their way. This includes The Walking Dead outfits for the Rick Grimes survivor that will make him look like Glenn or Negan.  Cheryl from Silent Hill will also get a new look that transforms her into Silent Hill f's Shimizu Hinako, and The Spirit will get a new alternate skin that turns her into a nurse from Silent Hill. Even more cosmetics will tie into things like Scooby-Doo survivor characters and Diablo clothing options, introducing those series into DBD for the first time, while The Huntress killer will get a new alternate style tied to Iron Maiden. Intriguingly, Ice Nine Kills, a band already represented in the upcoming Halloween game, will get its own cosmetics collection in DBD, too.  New game modes Though the team isn't rolling out anything quite yet, it mentioned that a zombie mode is one of several ways DBD may change over time. Since Behaviour has no plans for a Dead by Daylight sequel, it prefers to grow DBD into new experiences over time. Ramos expanded on the team's thinking in this realm. "We feel like we have barely scratched the surface of what [DBD] can be in terms of experiences, and bringing gameplay innovation, bringing new modes, is actually one of the core things that we want to bring in the future."  He mentioned a few specifically, like a 1v1 experience and a zombie mode, adding that these experiences are "just the beginning. We want to keep exploring game modes and options. We like the asymmetry, so usually speaking, we like to keep exploring that aspect, but there is so much we can do. So, of course, 4v1 is a staple, and we don't want to put it on the side, or whatever. It is the staple of what we do, and it is a core experience, but bringing in new modes, exploring new things, which potentially could be a good fit with new types of collaborations, as well, absolutely, 100% is something that is going to happen." Ramos added that some of these things will take a while, but the team is sharing them sooner as part of a revised approach to transparency with the core DBD players, specifying that though things like the mall and several new characters will arrive before the end of the year, something like zombie mode is "probably years away." Maybe most exciting of all is that DBD will be getting a new set of modding tools for the community to create custom content like their own maps and modes. These tools are meant to debut in 2027. Revamped onboarding and visuals In the absence of any sequel plans, the team knows it has to manage DBD to keep it appealing to players for many more years to come. To that end, DBD will be getting a visual overhaul, with new attention paid to character models, map details, and other aspects of the game's look. This fresh coat of paint is targeting 2027 and will alter the minimum and recommended PC specs, though the team didn't have specific benchmarks to share just yet.  Additionally, the team says it understands that new players can sometimes feel overwhelmed by all there is to learn about the game when they're trying to catch up with the entrenched community. Behaviour is actively exploring ways to improve onboarding for new players, with Richard noting that the task is "one hell of a challenge." He said the game needs to better communicate that it can be fun well before players reach a mastery level, as some high-level streamers may showcase, and the team is approaching this in a few ways. "There's obviously the first-time user experience. The 'here's what the game is about, here's what you should expect.' You know, expect that it's about the chaos, as well, that it's ever-changing, that it's about the horror, and you know, not necessarily about winning by killing everybody or escaping all the time, so how to find the fun in the game.  "And then through other steps in the future, through changes in the progression, to changes in how the perks are designed, and how we will transform the game, so that its density becomes more manageable." Ramos added that one small step the team is taking as part of the bigger plan is to add something called the gameplay showcase, which will act as a way for players to see how killers' special abilities work in the menus before they jump into a game, removing the current issue of players needing to jump in cold and test them out in a live environment to understand how they work. Dead by Daylight movie The previously revealed DBD movie has officially landed its director, as the team announced Thordur Palsson will helm the project, with a script from Alexandre Aja and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. Palsson previously worked on The Damned. Johnson-McGoldrick and Aja also come from a horror background, with the former having penned The Conjuring 2 and the latter working on things like High Tension and the remake of The Hills Have Eyes. A few other announcements were made at the show, and you can find all of them organized chronologically in the image below. For more on my deep dive with the DBD team, you can read why there may never be a Dead by Daylight sequel, and why DBD has gotten more violent over its 10 years.
Title: Forza Horizon 6 Signals A New Peak For Open World Driving Games Date: Sun, 14 Jun 2026 23:30:00 +0000 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/forza-horizon-6-signals-a-new-peak-for-open-world-driving-games/ Few games have generated as much momentum this year as Forza Horizon 6. The latest entry in Playground Games' acclaimed racing series has earned widespread critical praise, including a fantastic 8/10 review from GameSpot, while also setting new player engagement records across the franchise. For a series that has consistently defined the open-world racing genre, it's another major achievement — and one that reinforces Forza Horizon 6's place as one of the biggest games in the industry right now. This time, the Horizon Festival heads to Japan. Long considered one of the most requested locations in the series' history, Japan provides the backdrop for Horizon's most ambitious world yet. Players can explore a sprawling open world that moves between bustling city streets, mountain passes, countryside roads and coastal highways, creating a driving playground built around variety and discovery. It's also the most dense map the series has delivered, with greater verticality and environmental diversity helping each region feel distinct. Whether you're chasing races, hunting collectibles or simply exploring, there's always something waiting around the next corner. At the heart of the experience is a garage of more than 550 cars, giving players an enormous collection of vehicles to race, customise and master. The campaign begins with players arriving as a tourist before earning their place at the Horizon Festival and working towards becoming a Horizon Legend. Along the way, a new Collection Journal encourages exploration by tracking discoveries made throughout the world. The scale of the game is matched by its accessibility. Forza Horizon 6 is available on XBOX Series X|S, PC via the XBOX app and Steam, and through XBOX Cloud Gaming across supported mobile devices, tablets, handhelds and smart TVs. The Standard Edition is also included with XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, allowing subscribers to jump straight into one of the year's most talked-about releases. Beyond the main campaign, Forza Horizon 6 has been designed to evolve over time. Players who qualify for the Horizon Festival gain access to the Festival Playlist, which introduces weekly challenges and events that reward new cars, clothing items and other unlockables. Future updates are also set to introduce Evolving World content, including seasonal Car Meets and new community-focused experiences. Multiplayer remains a key part of the package. Players can explore Japan together through Convoys, participate in Shared World Meetups, tackle Horizon Play activities or simply cruise the open roads with friends. XBOX's Discord integration also makes it easier for players to connect with communities, organise sessions and share their in-game creations. The success of Forza Horizon 6 is also part of a broader trend across XBOX Game Pass. As the service continues to bring together major AAA launches, breakout indie hits and community-driven favourites, it has become one of the easiest ways for players to discover what's new and worth playing. Alongside Forza Horizon 6, subscribers can jump into titles generating plenty of conversation across the gaming community, including Mixtape, Escape the Backrooms and the highly anticipated Subnautica 2. With major showcases continuing to reveal upcoming additions and fresh experiences on the horizon, there's always something new to discover. For racing fans, though, Forza Horizon 6 remains the headline act. Between its acclaimed reviews, record-breaking engagement and stunning recreation of Japan, it's a game that continues to set the standard for open-world racing.Forza Horizon 6 is available now on XBOX Series X|S, PC and XBOX Cloud Gaming, and is included with XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Title: GameStop’s Rewards Program May Be Losing Its Best Feature – Report Date: Fri, 12 Jun 2026 21:21:39 +0000 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gamestops-rewards-program-may-be-losing-its-best-feature-report/ Earlier this month, GameStop disclosed that it achieved the highest profit in the company's history during the first quarter of its latest fiscal year. Now, GameStop appears to be taking further steps to cut costs by reportedly making significant changes to its Pro Membership rewards program. According to Kotaku, new GameStop Pro members will no longer be able to earn Pro Points starting on July 15. Current Pro members are only getting a temporary reprieve until August 15. On that date, members will stop accruing Pro Points. Prior to these changes, GameStop Pro members could earn roughly 2% of their total purchases in points, which they could redeem for games or other merchandise at a later date. On Reddit, some GameStop employees are calling out the decision to take away the Pro Points and suggesting that they should collectively stop trying to upsell Pro Membership to customers. Their apparent disdain for this decision probably won't deter GameStop from going ahead with these changes. GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen has been in the news recently because of his intention to buy eBay even though his company lacks the resources or the full financial backing to purchase the online auction house. In response to Cohen's plans, eBay rejected his overture and described it as neither “credible nor attractive.” Cohen could still attempt a hostile takeover by appealing directly to eBay stockholders, but he has yet to do so.

Title: 11 best anime to watch if you like Frieren Date: Mon, 15 Jun 2026 01:00:21 GMT Link: https://www.polygon.com/best-anime-like-frieren/ While Frieren remains unparalleled, a handful of anime come close to capturing its laid-back vibe or mirroring some of its core themes. Ongoing titles like Delicious in Dungeon or The Apothecary Diariesmight not evoke 1:1 comparisons with Frieren, but they do convey a similar sentiment of coziness. Some stories follow protagonists on similar epic journeys, while others linger on the warmth shared between traveling companions. Keeping these varied factors in mind, here are 11 anime worth checking out before season 3 of Frieren drops.
Title: Passengers is suddenly blowing up on Netflix, but please don't watch it Date: Sun, 14 Jun 2026 20:00:21 GMT Link: https://www.polygon.com/passengers-2016-chris-pratt-jennifer-lawrence/ There’s a type of actor in Hollywood who, despite being extremely talented at what they do, is incapable of starring in what most people would consider to be a “good” movie. There’s even a whole list dedicated to naming those actors, but we’re certain that you can name at least one off the top of your head. However, there are also movies that, despite having some of the most talented names involved, are just so insultingly bad (think Thor: Love and Thunder) that you can’t help but wonder how much these Hollywood actors were paid to be involved.
Title: Is Clayface part of the DCU or a The Batman spinoff? Everything you need to know about the DC movie Date: Sun, 14 Jun 2026 19:30:20 GMT Link: https://www.polygon.com/clayface-film-dcu-confusion/ Clayface arrives later this year, and it looks like James Gunn has made good on his word that the film "is not a ‘hybrid superhero horror film,’ it is a horror film.” Our first look at the movie didn't reveal a whole lot. We see a bloody, disfigured man (Tom Rhys Harries) wrapped in bandages, intercut with flashes of him being experimented on, him being chased, him seemingly killing someone, and his face literally melting — all set to a creepy cover of The Flaming Lips song “Do You Realize??” If not for the DC Studios logo and a few nods to Gotham City, Clayfacelooks more like a straight-up horror film like Together or The Substance than the latest entry in the DC Universe.
Title: Enginefall preview: Snowpiercer meets Rust is the most innovative survival game in years Date: Sun, 14 Jun 2026 19:00:22 GMT Link: https://www.polygon.com/enginefall-impressions/ Snowpiercer started life as a French graphic novel by Jacques Lob, but rose to international renown in 2013, thanks to Bong Joon Ho's film adaptation, followed by 2020's television series. In all three versions, a train — the eponymous Snowpiercer — is perpetually traveling around a post-apocalyptic Earth. Life outside the train is extinct thanks to an ice age. The train is divided into societal classes, with the rear housing the poorest passengers, and each plot focuses on a group from the rear trying to make their way into the upper classes.

Title: NVIDIA, KRAFTON, NC and Reigning ‘League of Legends’ Champions T1 Celebrate RTX Spark at Korea’s PC Bangs Date: Sun, 07 Jun 2026 07:00:15 +0000 Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/krafton-nc-t1-korea-gaming-pc-bang-rtx-spark/ At GTC Taipei at COMPUTEX last week, NVIDIA unveiled RTX Spark, the superchip that reinvents Windows PCs for the era of personal AI agents. On the heels of this announcement, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang headed to South Korea, where he introduced RTX Spark to the nation’s passionate gaming community. Leading game developers — including Korea’s KRAFTON and NC — are already working to bring their titles to RTX Spark-powered systems.  Designed for local AI, creating and gaming, RTX Spark brings together 30 years of NVIDIA innovation to slim Windows laptops with all-day battery life and small, ultraefficient desktop PCs.  With the superchip, gamers can play AAA games at 1440p resolution and over 100 frames per second with NVIDIA ray tracing, DLSS and Reflex technologies. In addition, RTX Spark supports all NVIDIA RTX technologies, including the recently announced DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, which features a second-generation transformer model for realistic image quality.  RTX Spark Ignites Korea’s Gaming Community Korea has played a major role in spearheading esports and driving the boom in PC bangs, or internet and gaming cafes. With longstanding collaborations rooted in the country, NVIDIA in October celebrated 25 years of GeForce in Korea with a free festival for gamers, highlighting the rich gaming ecosystem that has been built over decades.    On Friday, Huang headed to T1 Base Camp — a PC bang owned by T1, one of Korea’s top esports teams. There, he met with T1’s reigning League of Legends World Champion team, including six-time World Champion Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok to unveil RTX Spark.  NVIDIA and Riot Games — developer of League of Legends — are collaborating to bring the title as well as VALORANT to RTX Spark, expanding gamers’ access to high-performance gaming on slim laptops.  To mark the occasion, T1 Base Camp attendees had the chance to win RTX Spark laptops, League of Legends and T1 merch signed by Huang and Faker, as well as GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs.  Surprising PC-Bang Gamers  Later, Huang headed to Seoul’s Gangnam district, where he surprised PC-bang gamers with a first look at RTX Spark with KRAFTON and NC.  At the first stop, Optimum Zone PC, Huang and KRAFTON Chairman Byung-gyu Chang showcased PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and Subnautica 2 on RTX Spark to a captivated crowd of gamers.  Gamers then got the surprise chance to play with the unreleased PUBG Ally, a co-playable character built with NVIDIA ACE technologies on RTX Spark laptops. PUBG Ally resulted from AI research and development at KRAFTON and NVIDIA, part of an initiative to create next-generation game characters that act like teammates and enable more meaningful, immersive engagements with players. Next, Huang stopped at another PC bang, Portal PC, where he showcased NC’s CINDER CITY and AION 2 on RTX Spark, with support from Taekjin Kim, co-CEO of NC.  NC and NVIDIA began working together in the early 2000s on the Lineage franchise and have since collaborated to integrate RTX technology into many of NC’s flagship games, including Lineage 2, AION, Blade & Soul, AION 2 and CINDER CITY.  Gamers at Portal PC were given the chance to play a demo of NC’s highly anticipated open-world massively multiplayer online tactical shooter CINDER CITY on GeForce RTX-powered PCs.   CINDER CITY will support the DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and Super Resolution features at launch. Plus, gamers will be able to experience the title on slim RTX Spark laptops and compact desktops when the game is released later this year.  In addition to KRAFTON, NC, and Riot Games, 100+ Windows software providers and game developers are embracing RTX Spark. These partners include NetEase, Remedy Entertainment and XBOX.  Learn more about RTX Spark and its launch partners.

GeForce NOW is dialing up the espionage with the launch of 007 First Light, letting members slip into James Bond’s reimagined origin story from almost any device — no tux or preloads required.  For a limited time, the game is included with the purchase of a 12‑month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership, letting members lock in Bond’s next mission and a year of top-tier cloud gaming in one shot. And for those stepping into the role, the look comes with it. Daring Elite Outfit, a signature look capturing the spirit of a rising agent, is now available for Ultimate members — equal parts discipline, ambition and edge. And catch Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem demo in the cloud — catch an early portion of the game and discover its two sides: terrifying survival horror with Grace Ashcroft, and pulse-pounding action with Leon S. Kennedy This GFN Thursday also brings eight new games to the cloud, expanding the library with even more ways to play across genres. Mission Assigned First light, first mission. The mission begins before the legend. 007 First Light puts players in the shoes of James Bond at the dawn of his career, when instincts are sharp, rules are flexible and every decision shapes the agent he’s destined to become. This is a Bond who’s still earning his “00” — unpolished, dangerous and learning when to trust a plan and when to improvise under fire. A cinematic spy thriller unfolds with high-stakes infiltration, tense encounters and stylish set pieces. One moment brings thrills working undercover at an opulent event — the next, white‑knuckle chases and close‑quarters confrontations where timing and composure are everything. Approaches to each mission — quiet and calculated, bold and aggressive, or something in between — define Bond’s path and the allies and enemies that cross it. Stream it all with GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU power in the cloud, with up to 5K high dynamic range and cinematic-quality streaming for Ultimate members. Experience Bond’s origin story in razor-sharp detail across devices — no high-end PC required. Keep It Daring Tailored. Tactical. Dangerously sharp. Looks speak first. A new 007 First Light reward drops today on GeForce NOW, delivering Ultimate members a refined,  unmistakably bold way to step into the world of espionage. The Daring Elite Outfit blends calculated precision with effortless style — the kind that turns heads before the mission even begins. Sleek, confident and just a little dangerous, it’s built for agents who understand that presence is a part of the playbook. All rewards are available starting now through Saturday, June 27, or while supplies last. To claim, log in to a GeForce NOW account, head to the rewards section in the account portal and redeem. Keep It Heated Time to get heated. Armored battles get hero-driven in Wargaming’s free-to-play, player vs. player vehicle shooter, World of Tanks: HEAT, now streaming on GeForce NOW. World of Tanks: HEAT is the franchise’s first hero-driven tank action game, where powerful Agents and their experimental machines shape every fight. Fast-paced 5v5 and 10v10 matches erupt into high-velocity brawls as hero-enhanced tanks trade explosive bursts, clutch escapes and momentum-shifting abilities. Each Agent brings a unique tool kit and vehicle lineup, layering team roles and synergy on top of sharp aim and smart positioning. It’s classic steel-on-steel combat with a hero-shooter twist, now available in the cloud. The next match is always just a quick deployment away on GeForce NOW. Keep It Playing Community stories take the spotlight this week as an Ultimate member on Reddit shares a heartfelt note about what GeForce NOW means to daily gaming. Title: How Croakwood captures the challenge of a townbuilder like Anno but avoids the stress and pressure Date: Sun, 14 Jun 2026 12:00:00 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/how-croakwood-captures-the-challenge-of-a-townbuilder-like-anno-but-avoids-the-stress-and-pressure If, like me, you walk through this world forever thinking about Chicken Run, you too may expect at any moment to discover the animal kingdom is actually made up of industrious town-building critters. Though, hopefully they're not looking to attack and tie us up if ever they're rumbled. Especially when the towns they're making look as delightful as those in frog townbuilder Croakwood. I could watch their hustle and bustle all day. The next game from Parkitect developer Texel Raptor, Croakwood puts you in the role of mayor and town planner for a small community of frogs. Hidden under the canopy of leaves and trees surrounding a small pond, the amphibian settlement would be easy to miss as you stroll through their wood. Especially when you consider the frogs themselves are only a few centimeters tall. But there's more going on in this townbuilder than meets the eye, as the developers have been exploring ways to capture the challenge of a demanding management game without introducing the stress and pressure that traditionally comes with them. Title: The Sunday Papers Date: Sun, 14 Jun 2026 09:00:00 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/the-sunday-papers-814 Sundays are for testing the limits of the hunger for street furniture in your community. Since moving into the new flat, we've been taking things left behind by the previous owner down to the street one-by-one. A lamp here, a side table there, a splash of shelving. So far, everything has been taken by neighbours and passersby. But, after a week of rain where we couldn't take anything out without it getting drenched (and losing any chance of being taken), we've a glut of things to put out. With my sister coming to stay on Monday, it all has to go in one. Will my neighbors be left unable to choose between an office chair, a wobbly step ladder, and yet more shelving? Time will tell. Still, while I sit beside the living room window, watching to see if anyone carries off the loose kitchen cabinet unit, I'll need something to read… Read more
Title: Vanillaware seemingly want their other games on PC too, but if you want that to happen, talk to their publishers Date: Sat, 13 Jun 2026 21:54:06 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/vanillaware-seemingly-want-their-other-games-on-pc-too-but-if-you-want-that-to-happen-talk-to-their-publishers Vanillaware might not be a household name to some of you, but it's got a library that hangs up there with the best of them. Odin Sphere, Dragon's Crown, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, all games that I have seen their biggest supports plead for you to play them on sites like Dwitter and Bluesky. Only problem for us lot is that none of them are on PC. Well, most of them, as just this week it was announced that one of their earlier titles Muramasa: The Demon Blade will finally be coming to PC. And, as it seemingly turns out, Vanillaware would like more of their games to be made available on PC… it's just not up to them. Read more
Title: Penguin Colony's demo shows life as a flightless bird is lonely, scary, awkward, and cosmically intriguing Date: Sat, 13 Jun 2026 20:38:54 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/penguin-colonys-demo-shows-life-as-a-flightless-bird-is-lonely-scary-awkward-and-cosmically-intriguing I'm going to go out on a limb and say that when you think of penguins and video games, Club Penguin is probably the one that comes to mind for you (or the Surf's Up adaptation if you're nasty). There aren't really a lot of games about these flightless birds, and they're normally on the sillier side when there are because penguins are funny little critters. Penguin Colony, the next game from the devs behind Umurangi Generation, doesn't completely abandon that silliness, but it does throw in some cosmic horror and the hubris of man in for good measure. And its first demo certainly sets the stage for an old experience. Read more

You're constructing an entire city here after all, and all the complications that come with that. So how about a citybuilder that's going for something a bit smaller? Meet Zlin City: Arch Moderna, a city builder designed to look like you're making dioramas, made by scanning actual, physical models, inspired by the real Czech city Ziln. Read more
