Title: New Hades 2 Patch Expands The Ending
Date: Fri, 31 Oct 2025 14:13:00 -0700
Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/new-hades-2-patch-expands-the-ending/1100-6535860/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2f
Last month, Supergiant Games officially launched Hades 2 out of early access, and sent the princess of the underworld, Melinoe, on a quest to defeat the titan Chronos. The original ending of the game wasn't very well-received. But in Hades 2' first post-launch patch, the true ending may give fans a better conclusion than the previous finale. There have been some sizable additions to build up to the true ending, including new events and voiceovers, as well as changes to the fated prophecy adjustments, and the ability to use a cauldron incarnation to take you back to an earlier point in the game. However, the true ending will require a higher number of Underworld clears than before. The game's epilogue isn't being changed. The specific changes involving the special encounters have been marked as spoilers by Supergiant. Without giving any story points away, one character may appear less frequently, and one will appear more often.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Title: 20 Games Like The Last Of Us That Will Invade Your Mind In 2025
Date: Fri, 31 Oct 2025 12:08:00 -0700

In a lot of ways, The Last of Us and its sequel, The Last of Us Part 2, raised the bar for storytelling in games. Set in a grounded version of, essentially, a zombie apocalypse, they relied as much on well-written, emotional interactions between characters as they did on stealth gameplay and fighting horrific monsters, crafting horror stories that are hard to forget. Those stories were so impactful that they led to an HBO TV series adaptation--its second season is airing right now.But there are a lot of games like The Last of Us that also evoke the specific and powerful elements that define it--whether it's the strong relationship between the player character and a companion, the fearful intensity of being hunted by terrifying monsters, or the sharp gameplay mechanics that can make combat as satisfying as it is overwhelmingly visceral.Below, you'll find 16 games and franchises like The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part 2, riffing on or building on different parts of the experience that make Naughty Dog's story-driven adventure so powerful. Most of these are action-adventure games or horror games that share similar ideas--some tell deep stories and have characters with which you'll form a bond, some push third-person combat and stealth mechanics in smart directions or have a similar feel to The Last of Us, and some create horror experiences you simply can't get in other media.Regardless of their goals, like The Last of Us, these are games that create experiences that will stick with you, and maybe haunt your nightmares. For more, check out our picks for the best horror games or best survival games.Disclosure: GameSpot and Fanatical are both owned by Fandom. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake EaterDeveloper: Konami Digital EntertainmentRelease Date: August 28, 2025Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PCGenre: Action-adventure, StealthThe Metal Gear games may predate The Last of Us, but players of the latter should feel right at home with MGS’ emphasis on stealth over action. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid 3 that can keep up with other modern titles in terms of graphics and gameplay. This is an origin story for Big Boss, who goes by Naked Snake in this game. During the Cold War, Snake is betrayed by his mentor, The Boss, who defects to the Soviet Union and leaves him for dead. With only a limited time to prevent a nuclear war, Snake has to infiltrate territory behind enemy lines. This isn’t a horror game, but there are definitely unsettling sections, including at least one with supernatural overtones. There’s even an escort mission late in the game as Snake has to risk his life to bring himself and his closest ally out of danger. See at Fanatical Silent Hill 2 (2024)Developer: Bloober TeamRelease Date: October 8, 2024Platforms: PlayStation 5, PCGenre: Survival-horrorThe original version of Silent Hill 2 is widely considered to be one of the best survival-horror titles ever made, even when considering its technical limitations two decades later. Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake actually manages to improve on the first version with a deeper gameplay experience and one of the most arresting games in the entire franchise.Players once again step into the role of James Sutherland, a man who is lured to Silent Hill by a letter from his wife, Mary. Of course, Mary’s been dead for years, but that doesn’t stop James from walking into his own personal version of Hell. James also encounters Maria, a woman who looks unnervingly like his late wife. But the line between what’s real and what isn’t has slipped away, and James may not be leaving Silent Hill again. See at Fanatical Until DawnDevelopers: Ballistic Moon and SupermassiveRelease Date: October 4, 2024Platforms: PlayStation 5, PCGenre: Survival-horrorSupermassive developed the original 2015 version of Until Dawn, but the 2024 remake was visually upgraded by Ballistic Moon. There were also some new character interactions as well as new endings in this version of the game. As before, Until Dawn has a lot of sections that play more like an interactive movie than a game, and it’s closer in tone to a slasher flick than The Last of Us. But there are definitely some similarities between the two.The game focuses on a group of friends who reunite one year after twin sisters, Hannah and Beth Washington, disappeared and were presumed dead. Their brother, Josh, organizes the reunion, which soon falls prey to a masked maniac and supernatural monsters that are far more cunning than anyone expects. Unlike other games on this list, not every character needs to survive Until Dawn for the story to advance. The real challenge is saving as many of the survivors as possible. See at Fanatical Assassin's Creed ShadowsDeveloper: Ubisoft QuebecRelease Date: March 20, 2025Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch 2Genre: Action-adventureThe Assassin's Creed games have almost always had stealth integrated into the gameplay. But Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes stealth to the next level with Noae, a female ninja in feudal Japan whose skills are impeccable. Naoe has no powers, and yet playing as her character almost feels like having superpowers. If Naoe was in The Last of Us, she’d tear the infected apart. She pretty much does the same thing to anyone in this game. But if you prefer a more hands-on approach to your action, the samurai Yasuke is basically like a walking tank. What he lacks in stealth, Yasuke makes up with sheer power and he can handle multiple enemies at once. Shadows allows players to switch between Naoe and Yasuke, but we suspect most of the gamers go with the former rather than the latter. See on Steam Uncharted: Lost LegacyDeveloper: Naughty DogRelease Date: August 22, 2017Platforms: PlayStation 4, PS5, PCGenre: Action-AdventureNaughty Dog first dialed in its cinematic, story-focused approach to development with the Uncharted games, and of all of them, Uncharted: Lost Legacy is the purest version of the experience. It's also the most similar to The Last of Us, thanks to the fact that while you play Lost Legacy as Chloe Fraser (instead of series mainstay Nathan Drake), you spend almost the entire game hanging out with Uncharted 4 semi-villain Nadine Ross. Like The Last of Us 2, Lost Legacy is a linear game with a few large open areas to explore, and through those sections the character development and banter between Chloe and Nadine is a lot like that between Joel and Ellie or Ellie and Dina. Along with stealth as an option for combat, Lost Legacy ends up feeling a bit like a lighter version of The Last of Us. See at Fanatical Alien: IsolationDeveloper: Creative AssemblyRelease Date: October 7, 2014Platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, AndroidGenre: Survival HorrorThe peak of tension in The Last of Us is sneaking around enemies who are actively hunting you, but no game captures the fear and dread of being hunted like Alien: Isolation. Creative Assembly's take on Ridley Scott's classic 1979 film is a masterclass in stealth-horror gameplay, pitting you against the Alien franchise's frightening black killing machine with only your wits and a handful of makeshift tools that might distract or drive the creature away, but never for long. The alien stalks after you throughout much of Alien: Isolation, reacting in believable and frightening ways and forcing you to outsmart it if you want to stay alive. Isolation is at its best when you're pitted against the alien, but its human and android enemies will test your stealth skills as well, capturing the same tension that make The Last of Us games so intense. See at Fanatical Tomb Raider / Rise of the Tomb Raider / Shadow of the Tomb RaiderDeveloper: Crystal DynamicsRelease Date: March 5, 2013 / November 10, 2015 / September 14, 2018Platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PCGenre: Action-AdventureThe rebooted Tomb Raider series that began in 2013 expands on the essential elements that defined the franchise, while emphasizing stealth, crafting, and hunting--a lot of the same kinds of gameplay that define The Last of Us. Across all three games, protagonist Lara Croft has to use her survival skills to overcome hordes of enemies, keeping herself hidden so she can lay traps and execute ambushes. Tomb Raider carries very similar combat and shooting mechanics to what you'll see in The Last of Us alongside its stealth, and throws in some Uncharted-style environmental traversal for good measure, finding a middle ground between both of Naughty Dog's storied franchises. See at Fanatical Resident Evil 2Developer: CapcomRelease Date: January 25, 2019Platforms: PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo SwitchGenre: Survival HorrorCapcom's remake of its survival-horror classic, Resident Evil 2, is a phenomenal modernization of the gameplay elements that helped define the genre, and which would eventually influence The Last of Us. RE2 picks up with the Midwestern town of Raccoon City in the throes of an exploding zombie outbreak, with unlikely heroes Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield fighting for their lives as the apocalypse engulfs the town. There's a direct line to draw from the dark and spooky environs of the Raccoon City Police Station, filled with the hungry undead, and the ruined structures of The Last of Us, and while Resident Evil 2 is far from a stealthy game--it's mostly running, shooting, and freaking out--it trades in a lot of the same panic and dread that make The Last of Us so powerful. See at Fanatical The Evil Within 2Developer: Tango GameworksRelease Date: October 13, 2017Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PCGenre: Survival HorrorThe Evil Within looked to go back to the roots of survival-horror games, conjuring something of a concoction of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4. The results were mixed, but developer Tango Gameworks absolutely hit the mark with its follow up. The Evil Within 2 leans into a supernatural story and some well-worn but terrifying horror tropes, in contrast to The Last of Us, but plays in a similar way, emphasizing using stealth to sneak around and take down tough enemies. Where The Evil Within 2 stands apart, aside from its storytelling, is with its open suburban landscapes, often-huge monsters, and intense, out-there boss fights. There are a lot of similarities in how the two games approach their gameplay, but if you want a straight-on horror story full of gore and terrors, The Evil Within 2 will scratch that itch. See at Fanatical God Of War / God Of War: RagnarokDeveloper: Sony Santa MonicaRelease Date: April 20, 2018 / November 9, 2022Platforms: PlayStation 4, PS5, PCGenre: Action-AdventureThe success of Naughty Dog's cinematic approach to games, with a heavy focus on putting characters together and letting them talk to one another to bring players into the story, rubbed off on the rest of Sony's first-party studios. With the reboot of God of War, Sony Santa Monica pulls a lot of the same tricks. Like The Last of Us, God of War is another "dad" game, where you play the father figure and spend all your time with a child, developing a relationship through a road-tripping adventure. God of War brings more action-focused gameplay, but its focus on story and excellent character development make for an emotionally deep experience that goes a lot further than just slicing up draugr and trolls. The story continues in God of War: Ragnarok, expanding on the relationships between God of War's characters even further. See at Fanatical Alan Wake / Alan Wake 2Developer: Remedy EntertainmentRelease Date: May 14, 2010 / October 27, 2023Platforms: PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PCGenre: Action-AdventureRemedy Entertainment made more of a supernatural thriller than a survival-horror game with the first Alan Wake, but with the follow-up 10 years later, it fully leaned into the horror aspects of the premise. The Alan Wake games are a great deal weirder than The Last of Us but are similarly dedicated to using the medium to tell a particular story. In the Alan Wake games, it's the tale of a supernatural entity using its powers to free itself and wreak havoc on the world, using a story spun by a novelist as the weapon by which it rewrites reality itself. Third-person shooter mechanics and dark, frightening environs evoke some of the same feelings and frights as The Last of Us games, but it's the fascinating, highly personal stories told in the Alan Wake games and their focus on characters that will keep you interested across both titles. See at Amazon A Plague Tale: Innocence / A Plague Tale: RequiemDeveloper: Asobo StudioRelease Date: May 14, 2019 / October 18, 2022Platforms: PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PCGenre: Action-Adventure StealthEspecially in recent years, games have gotten better at telling stories that build deep relationships between the player, the player character, and AI companions. At the center of A Plague Tale: Innocence is that kind of relationship. You play as Amicia as she tries to escape a deadly plague of rats and the French Inquisition with her five-year-old brother Hugo. Stealth is the main focus of the Plague Tale games, as is carefully manipulating a flow of hundreds of deadly rats to clear paths or overwhelm and kill enemies. The Plague Tale games nail a sense of disempowered helplessness, where everything around you is dangerous, but it's the focus on the relationship between Amicia and Hugo that really makes the story compelling. See at Fanatical Dead SpaceDeveloper: Visceral Games / Motive Studio (remake)Release Date: October 13, 2008 / January 27, 2023 (remake)Platforms: PlayStation 3, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox Series X|S, PCGenre: Survival HorrorAs settings go, you can't really get further away from The Last of Us than Dead Space, which takes place hundreds of years in the future and on a giant mining spaceship, as opposed to a ruined contemporary America. In terms of vibes, though, you get a lot of the same crap-your-pants panic as formerly human terrors haul ass out of the shadows, bent on ripping you apart. In Dead Space, these are necromorphs, twisted monsters that used to be the crew of the Ishimura, now reformed into little more than sharp bones and sharper teeth. They also can't be killed by any normal means, instead requiring you to shear off their limbs using futuristic mining gear in order to render them immobile. The more recent remake of Dead Space amps up the visuals and some of the storytelling of the original, while maintaining the atmosphere and intensity that has made Dead Space into a modern horror classic. See on Steam SOMADeveloper: Frictional GamesRelease Date: September 22, 2015Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PCGenre: Survival HorrorSOMA comes from developer Frictional Games, which had a major impact on horror gaming with Amnesia: The Dark Descent and its gameplay that forces players to run and hide from its monsters, rather than fight them. That same approach persists in SOMA, a sci-fi story set in a half-destroyed facility at the bottom of the ocean. Frictional does a phenomenal job creating an oppressive and haunting atmosphere in its apocalyptic setting, but you'll be just as drawn to understanding the story taking place in SOMA and what's happened to the survivors in the facility as to the game's more horrific moments. SOMA's story is its most exciting feature, delving deep into themes of life, death, personhood, and the self. See on Steam Telltale's The Walking DeadDeveloper: Telltale GamesRelease Date: April 24, 2012Platforms: PlayStation 3, PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOSGenre: AdventureWhen it comes to serious zombie games with affecting stories, Telltale's The Walking Dead set the standard. The episodic game is set in the universe of Robert Kirkman's comic series of the same name but tells its own story about a man, Lee, and Clementine, a young girl he finds and cares for as the zombie apocalypse kicks off in full force. The relationship between Lee and Clementine is at the center of The Walking Dead's story, and choices players make shapes who Clementine grows to become over the course of not just one game, but four total "seasons." Emotional, tragic, frightening, and intense, The Walking Dead doesn't have the gameplay complexity of The Last of Us but matches it in storytelling step for step. See at Fanatical Tom Clancy's The Division / The Division 2Developer: Massive EntertainmentRelease Date: March 8, 2016 / March 15, 2019Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PCGenre: Action RPGIf you want more of the type of third-person cover-shooting mechanics at the heart of The Last of Us, The Division games can provide. Massive's live games are open-world RPGs as opposed to linear, story-driven games, but they share some mechanical similarities as you fight through ruined urban locations in the wake of a vicious pandemic that has destroyed much of the country. Instead of makeshift shivs and clubs, though, you'll use all manner of firearms and a host of gadgets like drones in combat to fight various factions trying to take power in a fallen New York and Washington D.C. See at Amazon Days GoneDeveloper: Bend StudioRelease Date: April 26, 2019Platforms: PlayStation 4, PS5, PCGenre: Action-AdventureLike The Last of Us, Days Gone also imagines a post-apocalyptic world overrun by humans who've been transformed into unthinking cannibalistic monsters. The approach here is different, though--Days Gone gives you a motorcycle to manage and releases you into an open world to explore. Hordes of "freakers" swarm across the Oregon countryside, but the open-ended nature of gameplay in Days Gone means that you don't just fight the infected; you can also draw them toward other enemies to use as weapons. A big focus on characters and an emotional story mean that Days Gone scratches a similar itch if you're looking for an affecting look at the end of the world. See at Fanatical This War of MineDeveloper: 11 bit StudiosRelease Date: November 14, 2014Platforms: PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, PCGenre: SurvivalSide-scrolling strategy game This War of Mine is known for being intense and grueling to try to capture the experience of eking out life in a warzone. You control a group of survivors hiding in a house while war rages outside. Trapped by snipers during the day, you spend your hours crafting tools, cooking food, and tending to your people. Nightfall offers a chance to scavenge for supplies in the dangerous surrounding areas. This War of Mine asks you what you're willing to do to survive, especially as you meet other people along the way. It's a dark and difficult experience that captures something few games ever attempt. See at Fanatical State of Decay 2Developer: Undead LabsRelease Date: May 22, 2018Platforms: Xbox One, PCGenre: SurvivalFacing the zombie apocalypse is a little easier when you've got friends. State of Decay 2 puts you in the middle of a world overrun by the undead, with the goal of establishing a settlement and finding other survivors. Permadeath means if your characters are killed, they stay dead, requiring you to do your best to keep them healthy and uninfected--if you don't, you'll lose their unique attributes and abilities. State of Decay 2 also lets you work together with other players in cooperative mode, allowing you to work together as you strike out into the open world in search of salvage and survivors. If you have a Xbox Game Pass subscription, you can find it there. See on Steam Enslaved: Odyssey to the WestDeveloper: Ninja TheoryRelease Date: October 5, 2010Platforms: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PCGenre: Action-adventureOne of the things that makes The Last of Us so powerful is the relationship that develops between protagonist Joel and his charge Ellie during their trip across the country. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West has something of a similar premise, although its characters' relationship starts in a very different place. Set in a far-flung future after a global war, Enslaved sees protagonist Monkey thrown together with a young woman named Trip, who uses a "slave headband" to force him to help her. If Trip dies, the headband will kill Monkey. With no choice but to work together, the relationship between the two develops in some interesting and unexpected ways. See at Fanatical

Title: Arc Raiders Roadmap Reveals New Map In November, Quests, And More In The Months Ahead

Embark Studios is clearly keen to keep building on the success of its latest game, Arc Raiders. The extraction shooter, which just launched to the biggest player numbers on Steam for the niche genre, is already growing and now there's a roadmap outlining its trajectory.Arc Raiders' roadmap provides a glimpse at the months ahead for the fresh third-person shooter on the market. As is typically the case, the live-service game will be receiving frequent updates fine-tuning the experience, ironing out any kinks, and steadily rolling out new cosmetics, feats and trials, as well as map conditions that should liven the playing field.Arc Raiders roadmap for the next several months. The most exciting news though has to do with two updates coming in November and December, respectively. The first is dubbed North Line, and it will feature an entirely new map called Stella Montis, bringing Arc Raiders' map count to five. North Line will also introduce a new community unlock event--these are typically goals and challenges for the entire game's community to work towards in order to unlock a reward--as well as equipment and quests. There will even be two new Arcs, the game's robotic enemies which tower over players, called the Matriarch and Shredder.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Title: The best Xbox Game Pass games to play this weekend (Oct. 31-Nov. 2 2025)

A month has passed since Microsoft announced price changes to Xbox Game Pass, most notably that its top tier, Game Pass Ultimate, will now cost $30 a month, up from $20. In the wake of those changes, the Ultimate tier received two of Microsoft's biggest games of 2025 as day-one additions, Ninja Gaiden 4and The Outer Worlds 2. Are those games enough to keep subscribing? That's up to you.

On The Outer Worlds 2map, you'll see the multiple planets that are part of Arcadia that you end up visiting, during your journey as an Earth Directorate agent. This vast and rich colony has been the stage for the conflict between members of the Protectorate and enthusiastic defenders of Auntie's Choice and you can save it — by exploding things, shooting people, and fighting capitalism!

Fireballs and Fireball Burners are required for a few reasons in Arc Raiders, but they're frustratingly elusive. The first reason you'll need to find a Fireball is likely for the "What Goes Around" quest, but you'll also need them for "Fight Fire With Fire" and "The Right Tool" as well.
Title: Hazbin Hotel lore explained: Everything to know for season 2 that the show doesn't tell you
Date: Fri, 31 Oct 2025 19:32:29 GMT
Link: https://www.polygon.com/hazbin-hotel-lore-guide-sinners-hellborn-lucifer/
I’ve never encountered a show structured like Hazbin Hotel before — possibly because there hasn’t been one. The closest parallel I can make is to the structure of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings novels and The Silmarillion and other posthumous books: The comparatively small story of two hobbit journeys — the canon work published during Tolkien’s lifetime — is in some ways dwarfed by the millennia-long history documented in his unfinished background material. In the same way, there’s so much more background and setting lore to Hazbin Hoteland its sister show, Helluva Boss, than what’s appeared on screen.

Title: Korea Joins AI Industrial Revolution: NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang Unveils Historic Partnership at APEC Summit
Date: Fri, 31 Oct 2025 14:00:36 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/korea-ai-apec-ceo-summit/
Amidst Gyeongju, South Korea’s ancient temples and modern skylines, Jensen Huang hit the stage at the APEC Summit with historic news: South Korea is leaping into the future with sovereign AI supported by more than a quarter-million NVIDIA GPUs.
“It’s vital that we build the ecosystem, not just the AI infrastructure, of Korea,” he said.
With that, NVIDIA’s founder and CEO unveiled a sweeping initiative to build out South Korea’s AI ecosystem and infrastructure — a national-scale deployment of GPUs across sovereign clouds and industrial AI factories.
The announcement marks one of the largest national investments in agentic and physical AI to date, and it’s backed by a coalition of Korea’s top organizations: the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT), Samsung Electronics, SK Group, Hyundai Motor Group, NAVER Cloud, LG and more.
The effort also comes as world leaders, including President Trump and President Xi, are among 21 APEC nations — the U.S., China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Vietnam, Singapore and others — gathered nearby for a separate APEC Summit.
Celebrating 25 Years of GeForce in Korea
The news is a continuation of NVIDIA’s decades-long history of building a rich ecosystem with Korea. The country has played an outsized role as a nation that spearheaded esports and helped drive the PC-bang boom.
Kindling that tradition, NVIDIA celebrated GeForce’s 25-year run in Korea with a GeForce Gamer Festival in Seoul this week. The festival featured the latest GeForce RTX technology, with NCSOFT giving attendees an exclusive hands-on with unreleased games AION 2 and CINDER CITY, both featuring NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation.
KRAFTON showcased PUBG Ally, an AI co-playable character powered by NVIDIA ACE, for its global hit PUBG:Battlegrounds. There were also giveaways, live esports matches including a special StarCraft match between legendary pro gamers Hong Jin-ho (YellOw) and Lee Yoon-yeol (NaDa), and performances by renowned taekwondo group K-TIGERS and international K-POP sensation LE SSERAFIM.
Developing a New Kind of Infrastructure
South Korea, with a heritage of rapid technology-driven progress, is taking the next big step with its AI industrial revolution.
At the center of the effort is a sovereign AI infrastructure program led by MSIT, which will deploy as many as 50,000 of the latest NVIDIA GPUs through cloud providers NHN Cloud, Kakao Corp. and NAVER Cloud. The initial wave includes 13,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, with more to follow in the coming years.
Building AI Factories: Korea’s Industrial Titans
The scale of private-sector investment is staggering. Samsung, SK Group and Hyundai Motor Group are each building AI factories with up to 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs apiece, while NAVER plans to deploy more than 60,000. This is forming the backbone for Korea’s AI-powered transformation across manufacturing, mobility, telecommunications and robotics.
Samsung is using NVIDIA CUDA-X, cuLitho, Nemotron models and Omniverse to build digital twins for semiconductor manufacturing, while advancing its robotics portfolio with NVIDIA Cosmos and Isaac GR00T.
SK Group is designing an AI factory capable of hosting up to 60,000 GPUs, including an AI cloud powered by NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs. SK Telecom will offer sovereign infrastructure for domestic manufacturers and startups to build digital twins and robotics applications.
Hyundai Motor Group is collaborating with the Korean government and NVIDIA to build an NVIDIA AI factory with 50,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs to enable AI model training, validations and deployment for manufacturing, autonomous driving and robotics. The company plans to use NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor, NeMo, Nemotron and Omniverse to simulate factory operations.
NAVER is adding another 60,000 GPUs to its NVIDIA AI infrastructure, targeting sovereign and physical AI workloads. It plans to develop industry-specific models for shipbuilding, security and AI services for Korean citizens.
Korean Language Models and Quantum Research
The Korean government is also investing in foundational AI research. MSIT is leading a Sovereign AI Foundation Models project in collaboration with LG AI Research, NAVER Cloud, NC AI, SK Telecom, Upstage and NVIDIA. The initiative will use NVIDIA NeMo software and open NVIDIA Nemotron datasets, tapping local data to develop Korean language models with reasoning and speech capabilities.
NVIDIA and LG are collaborating to support academia and startups with LG’s EXAONE models, including the EXAONE Path healthcare model — built with the MONAI framework — to support cancer diagnosis. The company is also working with NVIDIA to support physical AI startups and academic research.
Meanwhile, the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) is partnering with NVIDIA to establish a Center of Excellence for quantum computing and scientific research. Using its sixth-generation HANGANG supercomputer and the NVIDIA CUDA-Q platform, KISTI will explore hybrid quantum computing, physics-informed AI models and scientific foundation models built with the NVIDIA PhysicsNeMo framework.
AI-RAN and 6G: The Next Frontier
In a move to drive next-generation mobile networks, NVIDIA is collaborating with Samsung, SK Telecom, ETRI, KT, LGU+ and Yonsei University to develop AI-RAN and 6G infrastructure.
The intelligent, low-power network technology offloads GPU computation from devices to base stations, reducing energy costs and extending battery life — a critical enabler for widespread robotics adoption.
Fostering Innovation With Startups and Training
To support Korea’s next generation of AI companies, NVIDIA is expanding the NVIDIA Inception program with a new startup alliance. Members will gain access to accelerated computing infrastructure from partners like SK Telecom, along with support from VC firms including IMM Investment, Korea Investment Partners and SBVA.
A new Center of Excellence powered by NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs will help startups build physical AI applications, while the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute will offer AI upskilling programs to train Korea’s future workforce.
Rewiring a Nation for Artificial Intelligence
The scale and ambition of Korea’s AI initiative is nearly unprecedented.
It’s not just about deploying GPUs. It’s about rewiring a nation’s industrial base for intelligence. From sovereign clouds to quantum labs, autonomous factories and AI agents — Korea is building the infrastructure of the future.

Title: Join the Resistance: ‘ARC Raiders’ Launches in the Cloud
Date: Thu, 30 Oct 2025 13:00:02 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-arc-raiders/
Get ready, raiders — the wait is over. ARC Raiders is dropping onto GeForce NOW and bringing the fight from orbit to the screen.
To celebrate the launch, gamers can score ARC Raiders for free with the purchase of a 12-month Ultimate membership — a bundle packed with everything needed to jump into the resistance.
This week also brings 10 games, including the next big adventure in The Outer Worlds 2, the mystical new “Visions of Eternity” expansion for Guild Wars 2 and Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, a clever classic from Capcom.
Amsterdam and Montreal will be the next regions to light up with GeForce RTX 5080-class power.
Sofia, Bulgaria, is the latest region to get GeForce RTX 5080-class power, with Amsterdam and Montreal coming up next. Stay tuned to GFN Thursday for updates as more regions upgrade to Blackwell RTX. Those who want to follow along can track latest progress on the server rollout page.
The Cloud Suits Up
The resistance — now in 5K.
In ARC Raiders, survival means banding together against overwhelming odds. Set in a retro‑futuristic world under siege, the game blends squad-based strategy with explosive firefights wrapped in a striking ‘80s-inspired sci-fi style.
The story is simple but relentless: mysterious mechanical invaders, the ARC, rain down from orbit to strip Earth bare. Battling them takes teamwork, scavenged weapons and quick thinking across sprawling environments. Every encounter feels like a desperate stand where improvisation and cooperation turn the tide.
With a GeForce NOW Ultimate membership, ARC Raiders hits with full force, streaming at GeForce RTX 5080-class power. That means cinematic visuals at up to 5K resolution, silky-smooth 120-frames-per-second action and real-time ray tracing on nearly any device. It’s the closest thing to stepping into the fight — not just watching from the sidelines.
A special launch offer makes this drop even bigger: ARC Raiders is included with every purchase of a new 12-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership, now through Thursday, Nov. 20. Take advantage of the cloud’s most powerful tier and drop into the fight with premium performance from virtually anywhere. Supplies are limited, so join now and suit up before the skies get any darker.
The Cloud Is Out of This World
Space just got sassier.
Obsidian Entertainment takes players to a new colony with The Outer Worlds 2, a first-person sci-fi role-playing game brimming with cosmic chaos, corporate satire and unforgettable oddballs. With new worlds to explore and even more questionable choices to make, it’s everything fans loved from the first game — turned up to 11.
This time around, players explore a new frontier teeming with alien life, rival factions and moral gray areas that would make any space explorer sweat. Build a crew, shape the story with choices both heroic and hilariously self-serving, and survive a galaxy where every decision sparks consequences — often explosive ones.
On GeForce NOW, The Outer Worlds 2 shines brighter than ever. Stream the adventure at GeForce RTX 5080 power with ray-traced worlds, crisp visuals and silky-smooth performance, no matter the orbit. Grab a snack, make a bad choice and let the cloud do the rest.
Sacrifice for Power
Come for the adventure and discover the hidden knowledge.
Guild Wars 2 is setting sail for adventure with its latest expansion, Visions of Eternity, whisking players off to the mysterious island of Castora for a fresh year filled with epic stories, new regions to explore and tons of magical mayhem. This sixth expansion brings new elite specializations for all professions, shiny legendary treasures to hunt, a revamped skimmer mount and the much-anticipated addition of homesteads and fashion templates.
Jump in to tackle bizarre creatures, navigate uncharted lands and face off in unified raids and strike missions. Whether polishing up a new build, decorating the homestead or chasing down legendary loot, gamers will find no shortage of ways to shape the story. Plus, new story chapters and major updates throughout the year mean the adventure is always evolving.
Play Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity on GeForce NOW and skip past the grind of waiting for downloads or patches. Seamlessly log in and play on any supported device to get right to the action.
No Tricks, Just Treats
Solve crimes from beyond the grave.
Gamers can solve a puzzle-packed murder case in Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective — the quirky, mystery classic from Capcom, directed by Shu Takumi, creator of the Ace Attorney series — now featuring high-definition visuals and upgraded sound.
BANG! A single bullet rings out in the dark city. But as one life ends, the story is just getting started. Sissel wakes up as a ghost and realizes he’s lost his memory along with his life. With only a few hours until sunrise — and oblivion — to uncover these answers, Sissel must solve the mystery of his own murder, starting with the detective who may have witnessed the crime. Using the powers of the dead, players can possess and manipulate objects, and even rewind time, as they work to solve brainteasing puzzles in a story chock-full of quirky humour and charming characters.

The Night Belongs to the Cloud
Don’t invite them in — just stream.
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, Paradox’s sequel to the cult classic, invites fans to sink their fangs into Seattle’s dark nightlife, putting players in the immortal boots of Phyre — the newly awakened Elder vampire with a mysterious voice in their head. In every dark corner hides a new alliance or a rival, and every choice carves a path through the bloody politics of the night.
Master Seattle’s secrets and the supernatural abilities of any chosen clan — shadow hunting with the Banu Haqim, blood bending with the Tremere or going fists first as a Brujah. Every story twist and council drama is shaped by dialogue, alliances and whispers from both friends and the ever-present stranger in the protagonist’s mind.
Every neon-lit block streams beautifully on GeForce NOW, with GeForce RTX 5080-class power rolling out for the highest frame rates and sharpest graphics in the cloud — no waiting for downloads or mortal PC specs required.

Title: Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow launches December 4 on PS VR2

Since first launching in 1998, the Thief series of stealth games helped define the genre, maintaining notoriety across several games spanning nearly three decades. Steven Gallagher (Creative Director at Eidos-Montréal) and I are here to give PlayStation Blog readers the first glimpse into the next iteration of the franchise, Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow.
Play Video
Thief VR is coming to PlayStation VR 2 on PlayStation 5 on December 4, available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store now. We’re also sharing the latest gameplay trailer captured on PS VR2. This trailer demonstrates how Thief VR is an opportunity to step into the boots of a Master Thief and embody what makes the franchise unique in a compelling new take by developer Maze Theory and publisher Vertigo Games, aided by the OG Thief creators at Eidos-Montréal.
Takes a thief to make plans for a thief
Every great Thief game includes an array of tools and challenges that naturally encourage avoiding combat using stealth, numerous solutions to any problem, and requiring close attention to your surroundings using all senses. It can be challenging at first, but taking your time can make it feel incredibly rewarding. Levels are fairly open and non-linear to support player agency—a trademark of the immersive sim genre. Allowing players to do what they want, not what they’re told, says Steven, is a staple in allowing their own unique narrative to emerge.
Utilizing dark shadows to progress through darker plots, powerful, oppressive atmospheres, plus a bit of dry wit are all signature elements of Thief storytelling—and each aligns with the immersive simulation of VR. “The sense of presence VR provides makes the experience all the more intense and engaging,” says Steven. “The immediacy of being able to naturally use your head to watch your back as your hands pick locks with the help of haptic feedback, is as real as it gets to being in the City.”
Darkness is a solo thief’s only ally. PS VR2 OLED lenses have a stronger, more natural contrast, giving a competitive advantage in the shadows. Next-gen sound integration helps players listen closely for danger. There’s a sense of tangible anticipation and intimacy created by sneaking around in the dark in VR —peeking around corners —before slipping in through a window with your actual head and hands.
Feels like old times…
Thief VR blends classic stealth gameplay with next-generation immersion. Players embody an up-and-coming thief named Magpie through the dystopian fantasy steampunk world known as the City. As Magpie, they will be encouraged to use their variety of tools, keen observation, and creativity to stealthily remain unseen from guard patrols as they infiltrate noble manors to steal ancient artifacts (and more?), while under the watchful eye of a familiar thief called Garret.
Thief VR is made by fans for fans. Familiar ears will recognize the iconic Stephen Russell as Garrett, but there are plenty of other connections as well. For example, from a gameplay perspective, the stealth mechanics and engaging gameplay of Thief: The Dark Project (1998) and Thief II: The Metal Age (2000) were the main inspirations for the gameplay pillars of Thief VR.
Together with Steven, we’re connecting Thief titles across time and console generations. Since joining Eidos-Montréal in 2008, his experience working on animation, cinematics, and, eventually, narrative design for Thief (2014) has been invaluable as the brand consultant for Vertigo and Maze Theory. He’s also kept a secret locked away in Thief’s VR history.
“Towards the end of Thief (2014), Eidos-Montréal tried creating their own playable VR demo as part of Sony’s Project Morpheus, the first iteration of PlayStation VR”, Steven reveals. “Unfortunately, we weren’t particularly experienced in making VR back then, so the overall product ended up being a bit hard to play.”
Since a great video game narrative is the result of the player and the protagonist feeling like one, VR has been and continues to be a natural choice for the franchise. We’re especially thrilled to have his help bringing Thief VR finally into the light of day, using the latest technology on PlayStation VR2.
We’re not leaving without what we came here for
Previous experience as a Thief isn’t necessary to feel like one yourself when playing Thief VR. Everyone is invited to become their own fully present Master Thief in a world created nearly 30 years ago. VR has unlocked a new level of the palpable tension that Thief games are known for. We’re looking forward to seeing how PS VR2 players get themselves in and out of suspenseful situations without getting caught starting December 4.
Pre-orders are live now, and for a limited time, a 10% discount will be available.

Silent Hill 2 (PS5) | Game Catalog
For fans of… Tense and psychologically brutal survival horrors. Why you should play:As remakes go, Silent Hill 2 is among the best. It modernises elements of its gameplay and controls, and revamps the presentation of the PlayStation 2 original without losing any of its sinister atmosphere and heart-thumping challenge. If you didn’t fear getting lost in unknown mists before…well, this will change everything.Game modes:A taut single-player mode with multiple endings keeps you coming back to this reborn classic.

Until Dawn (PS5) | Game Catalog
For fans of…Slasher flicks with an all-star Hollywood cast, and branching narratives where your choices really do matter. Why you should play:Eight friends trapped on a remote mountain retreat with a mysterious killer. If that setup isn’t enough to hook you, then Until Dawn seals the deal by forcing you to make decisions that can change the lives of the unlucky eight. If someone dies, the game continues without them, leaving you to carry the weight of your actions for the rest of the story. Ruthless? Absolutely. Utterly compelling? Always.
Game modes: While designed as a single-player game, it’s easy to bring friends into Until Dawn by passing the DualSense wireless controller to a friend each time another character becomes the focus.

V Rising | Game Catalog
For fans of…Gothic open worlds, where you can indulge your action-packed, aristocratic vampire fantasy.
Why you should play:If you ever wanted to become vampire royalty, then Stunlock Studios’ engaging blend of action role-playing and empire building should satisfy that moonlit craving. It’s not just about hard fought battles of blood, and skulking in the shadows to quench your weakened vampire’s thirst, but also rebuilding and personalizing your very own castle, complete with servants, treasure, and (of course) coffins.Game modes:You don’t have to wander the world of Vardoran alone. A flexible and vast online multiplayer mode lets you join forces with other human-controlled vampires – or go to war with them if your blood runs a little hotter.

Alan Wake 2 | October Monthly Game (Available until Nov 3, 2025)
For fans of…Twin Peaks-esque existential survival horror, where the meta narrative bleeds into the game’s main story. Why you should play:Surreal and darkly eldritch, Alan Wake 2 grabs you by the eyes and pulls you into a mind-bending adventure where reality is shaped by the horrors of our imagination. Between the dual protagonists of telepathic FBI agent Saga Anderson and trapped writer Alan Wake, you’re in for a nightmarish and gripping exploration of what it means to confront our own limitations. To say more would ruin the game’s many novel surprises.Game modes:With its focus on a nerve-wracking single-player, Alan Wake 2 rewards the game’s completion with a New Game Plus mode called The Final Draft, which features an expanded ending, along with a tweaked narrative, collectibles, and a new difficulty setting.

Days Gone (PS4) | Game Catalog
For fans of…Zombie style open worlds, where overwhelming odds are the order of the day. Oh, and bikes. Why you should play:A wild wilderness full of feral, flesh hungry Freakers, unpredictable weather, roving human gangs, and vicious animals? That’s what awaits you in this fast-paced, post-apocalyptic action-adventure, rife with explosive weapons, big set pieces and rip-roaring motorbikes. Game modes:Switching things up is the more action oriented Challenge Mode, which tests you to complete objectives under different conditions, such as defeating endless hordes.

Dead by Daylight | Game Catalog
For fans of…Terrifying yet fun multiplayer survival slasher romps. Why you should play:Don’t let Dead by Daylight’s seemingly simple hide and seek concept fool you – this 4vs1 asymmetrical multiplayer game captures the intense thrills of classic 80s monster movies. As four of you try to survive against one relentless killer, the procedurally generated environments ensure every run is brutally unpredictable.Game modes:Dead by Daylight’s bot-driven single-player is great for practicing, but its main online multiplayer is where the fun is, especially with friends. Look out for modifiers and variant modes like 2v8 and the darkness enveloping Lights Out.

Outlast 2 | Game Catalog
For fans of…Chilling survival horror, played via a Blair Witch-style found-footage perspective. Why you should play:Blending elements from both classic and modern horror films, Outlast 2 increases its tension by mostly removing the ability to fight back against its cultist antagonists. Combined with video camera style first-person perspective viewpoints, jump-scares and creepy flashbacks, this is a horror fan’s dream (…or nightmare, if you prefer).Game modes:Outlast 2 keeps its terror up close and personal with a finely honed single-player mode.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2  | Game Catalog
For fans of…One of the most iconic series going, but also those who like a little dark laughter with their slaughter. Why you should play:Virtual reality lends itself perfectly to horror, and what better setting for PlayStation VR2 than the macabre and ever disturbing animatronics world of Fazebear Entertainment? Tasks like managing food in the Pizzaplex and helping robotic performers prepare for their show might not sound scary, but believe me, in Five Nights it’s something that will haunt you forever.Game modes:While there’s no multiplayer mode, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 consists of 40 different minigames, with a variety of them only unlocked if others are completed first.

Killer Frequency | Game Catalog
For fans of…Puzzle-driven murder mysteries, soaked in the neon-lit 1980s.Why you should play:How many other games have you assume the role of a late-night radio talk-show host? But this isn’t just some drowsy dialogue with the denizens of Gallows Creek – they’re being hunted by an enigmatic killer and you’re they’re only hope. Every call can be the difference between life and death as you’re solving puzzles, gathering clues, and engaging in branching narrative with eccentric personalities.Game modes:The single-player mode features four different endings depending on how many callers you save and if certain characters survive, so there’s incentive for multiple playthroughs.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan
For fans of…Glossy and filmic branching narrative horror adventures. Why you should play:It’s not just the high quality production values which make Man of Medan so impressive. It refines the interactive drama genre into an enthralling paranormal horror where any of the five main characters can die. Your choices not only affect their fate, but their relationships, the main storyline, and how it ends, with intriguing premonitions of possible future events adding to the tension.Game modes:The single-player story mode is accompanied by Movie Night, a 2 to 5 player couch co-op which assigns a player to each character, and Shared Story for two online players. The Curator’s Cut also lets you see scenes through other characters’ perspectives, with new choices and scenes.

Hello Neighbor | Game Catalog
For fans of…Mischievous yet hair-raising stealth horrors. Why you should play:If you’ve ever wondered what your neighbors get up to, rest assured it’s not as mysterious as Mr Peterson’s attempts to stop you from discovering what’s in his basement. It’s easy to be caught off guard by the colourful visuals, but between the smart artificial intelligence of Peterson and the game’s reflective exploration of trauma, Hello Neighbor is a decidedly different type of scare.Game modes:Infiltrating Mr Peterson’s basement is a solitary affair, but a Friendly Mode makes it a bit easier.
Resident Evil Director’s Cut / 2 / 3  | Premium Classics
For fans of…Unadulterated and genre defining survival horror action. Why you should play:The unflinching franchise that became an instant classic. If you wanted to find out how Resident Evil began, there’s no better way than going back to the source of the fabled t-Virus. Flesh eating zombies, conspiracies and iconic characters – the first three titles of the series are fan favourites for a reason.Game modes:Resident Evil 2 features two single-player campaigns and several unlockable mini-game missions, such as The 4th Survivor and Tofu Survivor. Resident Evil 3 also has The Mercenaries – Operation: Mad Jackal, which is faster paced and more action heavy than the main mode.
Siren | Premium Classics
For fans of…Deliberately paced ghost stories that will stay with you longer after you’ve finished them. Why you should play:Stealth goes hand in hand with survival horror, so this unnerving voyage to survive the cursed mountain village of Hanuda strongly emphasises its unique Sightjack ability to see through the eyes of the corpse-like Shibito. Observing yourself via your undead stalkers is deeply unsettling, uniquely heightening the anxiety.Game modes:Completing Siren earns you access to Time Attack mode, which challenges you to speed run the game, while a secret puzzle mode called Brain Cell Revival / Zuno is also unlockable by picking up the relevant in-game archive.
Play Video
Crow Country | Game Catalog
For fans of…Old school survival horrors inspired by ‘90s PlayStation classics. Why you should play:Taking its lead from some of the older titles on this list, Crow Country offers the best of both worlds, with its well considered and traditional sense of game design and aesthetics, dipped with options for modern controls and camera movement. The result is a challenging and suitably sinister nod to what made the genre popular in the first place.Game modes:In contrast to its regular Survival mode, Exploration mode removes enemies from the game. Conversely, Murder of Crows mode ramps up the difficulty.
Title: Prepare for Resident Evil Requiem with a story recap from Capcom
Date: Wed, 29 Oct 2025 22:00:54 +0000
Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2025/10/29/prepare-for-resident-evil-requiem-with-a-story-recap-from-capcom/
We’re now just about four months out before Resident Evil Requiem arrives on February 27, and to celebrate, we’ve released a Road to Requiem video celebrating the history of the series, and opened pre-orders.
Resident Evil Requiem Digital Deluxe Edition and pre-order details
Plus, there’s a cool pre-order bonus featuring Grace’s Costume: Apocalypse.
We also have a Deluxe Edition packed with extra content like 5 costumes including Grace’s Costume: Dimitrescu, 4 weapon skins, 2 screen filters, 2 charms, an audio pack, and additional files to find in-game.
In Resident Evil Requiem, you’ll meet Grace Ashcroft, a new protagonist for the Resident Evil series. As an FBI agent, she possesses a sharp analytical mind that serves her well, yet she suddenly finds herself thrust into an extraordinary situation.
You’ll also experience the series’ classic survival horror through combat, investigations, puzzles, and resource management. Gameplay allows you to freely switch between first and third-person views to face the horrors in a way that suits your playstyle. Even if you haven’t played a Resident Evil game before, you can jump right in, though long-time fans will notice plenty of familiar touches through the game.
And on PlayStation 5, you’ll find yet another layer of immersion while playing thanks to the unique features of the DualSense controller such as its haptics and adaptive triggers.
A Resident Evil series history
To coincide with the start of Resident Evil Requiem pre-orders, we thought it fitting to talk a little about the history that Resident Evil has had with PlayStation. Mentioning everything would turn this blog post into a novel, because it’s quite lengthy.
So instead let me touch upon some key moments. It starts from the way beginning almost three decades ago when the original Resident Evil was released on PlayStation in 1996. At the time it became one of PlayStation’s most popular games ever! It featured Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine searching for their missing teammates, but they end up stumbling across an abandoned mansion. Things went wrong. Zombies arrived. Resident Evil made its namesake.
The next entries Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 were also released initially on PlayStation in 1998 and 1999 respectively and brought the action directly to Raccoon City from the eyes of Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine.

When Resident Evil 4 was brought to PlayStation 2 in 2005, a special chapter called Separate Ways was added exclusively for the console. This allowed us to see Ada Wong’s side of the story during her own mission to research Los Illuminados.
Moving forward in time, Resident Evil 7’s first demo was a timed PlayStation exclusive, and the Kitchen demo was released separately on PlayStation VR. This entry introduced Ethan Winters and the first-person perspective to the series. You could even play the entire game in PS VR as Ethan searched for his wife Mia.
Resident Evil Village continued Ethan’s story as he searched for his daughter Rose. Similar to some past demos, the Maiden demo was released as a timed exclusive for PlayStation where you played as one of the servant girls trying to escape Castle Dimitrescu.
Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village are of course available now on PlayStation, alongside the reimagined remakes of Resident Evil 2, 3, and Resident Evil 4.We encourage you to experience these pivotal titles in the Resident Evil series for yourself if you’ve yet to have the chance.
Resident Evil has had almost three decades worth of history with PlayStation, and it’s been fun taking a look back at some of those great moments. We’re happy to bring Resident Evil Requiem to PlayStation 5 on February 27, and we hope you’re looking forward to it. We definitely are.

Title: Wreckreation melds Burnout's anarchy with GTA Online's airborne marble runs, but it needs a lot more polish
Date: Fri, 31 Oct 2025 17:47:15 +0000
Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/wreckreation-melds-burnouts-anarchy-with-gta-onlines-airborne-marble-runs-but-it-needs-a-lot-more-polish
It’s often pointless to wish a game series would come back once it’s been thrown on the great pile of dormant names. I try, and regularly fail, to stop myself yearning too forlornly for a new Midnight Club, a new Motorstorm, or a new Burnout.
Mostly because it means that when a game like Wreckreation comes along, there’s a temptation to go into it with lofty expectations inflated by a rose-tinted longing for something the game more than likely isn’t. Despite drawing plenty of elements from the anarchic arcade racer and the Criterion credentials of devs Three Fields Entertainment, Wreckreation isn’t Burnout, coming home after all these years getting takedowns in the wilderness.

Title: The Outer Worlds 2's faction writing falls short of Fallout: New Vegas, and how it handles the powerful is key

Warning: Spoilers for Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds 2 lie ahead.
Fallout: New Vegas has been an elephant in the room when it comes to my experience playing The Outer Worlds 2. Game director Brandon Adler and creative director Leonard Boyarsky have respectively called it a "natural comparison" and a "touchstone" in their latest game’s development.
"It had a lot of the elements that we knew we wanted to push forward: the deeper RPG, the more omnipresent factions and how they fit into the world, the type of open story that we wanted to tell, and even just the exploration of the world itself," Adler told GamesRadar back in August. "We even have a bunch of people at the studio that have already worked on [New Vegas]. It just really matched the values that we were trying to hit on this next game."

Title: Europa Universalis 5 review
Date: Fri, 31 Oct 2025 17:00:14 +0000
Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/europa-universalis-5-review
Europa Universalis 5 is a forever game. Insofar as you might be able to play this grand historical strategy forever, but also because - my god - it takes forever to play. After a mere 45 hours of conniving, trading, battling, and scratching my head at menus, I have just about scraped my way through 150 years of Neapolitan history. I have yet to come across a single pizza with buffalo mozzarella on it, but there are approximately 250 years left to find one. This is the blessing and curse of a typically dense playthrough of Europa Universalis. Paradox's trademark blend of intricate geopolitical clockwork, hands-tied confusion, and "one more year" compulsion is all here. You just need to set aside a few centuries to enjoy it.

Title: Master Of Command is a gunpowdery Total War alternative that narrows the focus to armies and real-time battles

My dearest Hedwig, I write to you from the churning battlefields of King Friedrich II's campaign to reinforce Silesia against the lurking Gallic aggressor. I regret to inform you that the French Hussars are kicking our Hussarses. We just engaged what our scouts from the 17th Pop-Up Tutorial Squadron promised was a "light" patrol of ill-trained musketmen and cavalry, just outside Hildesheim. French equestrians appear to be made of different stuff than our Prussian chargers. They cleave through our Landmiltz like wheat. Meanwhile, our horseguys can't take a single bayonet to the gaskin without turning for home.
