Embracer Group teased that it'll be releasing a mysterious, "long-awaited" game sometime during the next fiscal year. This (via Shinobi602 on X) came as part of the company's Q3 2025 interim report, which informs investors on how the company at large is doing. While providing an outlook of the upcoming fiscal year, the report states, "we look forward to one long-awaited, major, in-house developed and in-house published title together with a range of important mid-sized titles."For Embracer Group, the next fiscal year will take place between April 2026 and March 2027. That means we should expect a high-profile game from one of the studios and from one of the publishers the troubled gaming conglomerate owns. The fact that the report won't directly name the game makes it even more mysterious.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Title: The Best Marvel Games Of All Time
Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2026 08:55:00 -0800
Link: https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/the-best-marvel-games-of-all-time/2900-4346/
Marvel comics has been making memorable and iconic characters since it first started printing comics more than 80 years ago. The publisher behind heroes like Spider-Man, Captain America, and the Fantastic Four is a household name, in part because of its steady stream of mega-blockbuster movies that all take place in a massive, interconnected world. The Marvel Cinematic Universe, or MCU, has made many of its characters mainstream in a way they never were before. The acquisition by Disney in 2009 only amplified its popularity and scope, as the entertainment mega-brand folds Marvel's heroes into its other iconic properties like Disney animation, Pixar, and Star Wars.Marvel has been lending its name out for video game adaptations for much longer, racking up an impressive list of classic games from long before everyone identified Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. From beat-em-ups to fighters to puzzle games and pinball, Marvel heroes have appeared in just about every genre and type of video game. Here are 21 of the best Marvel games, spanning all the way from early arcade games to modern AAA productions. For even more on Marvel, check out our definitive ranking of all 38 MCU superheroes. And for more superhero action, read our picks for the best superhero movies of all time. Captain America and the Avengers arcade (1991)One of the earliest of Marvel's beat-'em-ups brought together the Avengers long before they were a household name. The arcade game, later ported to Super NES and Genesis, featured Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Vision as they battled against a range of villains like The Mandarin, Juggernaut, and Ultron, before finally confronting the arch-fascist Red Skull. One nice feature was how it paid homage to some lesser-known Marvel heroes with assist cameos from characters like Wonder Man and Namor. Spider-Man: The Video Game arcade (1991)While this beat-'em-up arcade game from Sega boasts Spider-Man as its marquee character, it's much more of a Spidey family game than you might expect. The four-player arcade let you select from the wallcrawler himself along with Black Cat, Sub-Mariner, and Hawkeye. This introduced some variety to their move sets, as Spidey and Black Cat were more melee-focused while Hawkeye and Sub-Mariner relied on ranged attacks. It even made use of Spider-Man's web-slinging ability, in a way, by letting him swing above the battlefield to close a gap or get out of a jam. X-Men arcade (1992)Who hasn't lost a few quarters (or dollars, or tens of dollars) to this arcade classic? This 1992 arcade game was a massive hit, and the deluxe version of the cabinet let you play with six characters at once across two screens. The roster included all of your favorite characters and also Dazzler for some reason, each using their own iconic power sets and screen-filling special abilities. In an era before pre-rendered cutscenes, this big beautiful sprite artwork was as cinematic as it got. The Punisher arcade (1993)Perhaps the grimmest of Marvel's antiheroes, The Punisher is known for meting out brutal vengeance on anyone he judges as deserving. That made him a perfect candidate for a beat-'em-up arcade cabinet in 1993, when Sega put out this classic. You could play as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, or '90s-era Nick Fury as the second player, as you punished street thugs and supercriminals alike. True to its comic roots this was an especially violent game, even by beat-'em-up standards, as Frank and Nick would often use firearms in the course of combat. Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage (1994)At the height of the '90s comics boom, readers couldn't get enough brooding heroes, which meant that some characters originally envisioned as villains made the jump to dark antihero. That was the case for Venom, a Spider-Man villain that became, essentially, a more badass version of Spidey himself. But they still needed someone to fight so the even darker character Carnage was born. Just two years later the storyline was adapted into this brawler that let you pick from the agile Spidey and the bruiser Venom to take on Carnage, along with other famous villains like Shriek and Demogoblin. Brawlers were a dime a dozen in the mid-90s but this one stood out thanks to its solid encounter design and timely comic references. Marvel vs Capcom (1996)At the height of Capcom's fighting game domination came one of the best fighting series of all time, thanks to a mash-up of two very different franchises. Capcom combined the roster of comics royalty with its own well-known fighter characters, primarily from the wildly popular Street Fighter series. The result was a faster-paced game with wild screen-filling effects and a unique tag-team mechanic that added an extra layer of strategy. Though the first game in 1996 made the biggest mark, the series is best known for the stellar MvC2 in 2000. That game's expanded roster and refined mechanics made it a mainstay in the fighting circuit, and some fighter fans still swear by it to this day. Spider-Man 2 (2004)Spidey's web-swinging became such a mainstay in the many Spider-Man games Activision put out throughout the 2000s that it's easy to forget a time when it was novel. That arrival point was Spider-Man 2, the first game to actually make you feel like Spider-Man by letting you sling webs through a realistic (for the PS2) depiction of New York City. Later iterations of the character would improve on this aspect in almost every way, but the original earned a special place in our hearts by finally capturing the feeling of being Spider-Man. Hulk Ultimate Destruction (2005)Various games have featured the Hulk, but this 2005 game was the first to understand that what we really wanted to do as Hulk was simple: smash. An open world design did wonders for the character, since it gave him an unprecedented level of freedom to wreck the place. You're a hero doing heroic things, sure, but your surroundings are going to get decimated in the process. Unlike Spider-Man 2, though, this game that absolutely nailed its title character never got a sequel, leading to several years of fans pining for more ultimate destruction. Marvel Ultimate Alliance (2006)Years before the MCU started mashing together heroes like action figures, Marvel Ultimate Alliance let you play with all your favorite heroes to build your dream team comp. Marvel Ultimate Alliance and its sequel, MUA2, are remembered for their unique isometric gameplay featuring four characters at a time, letting you build a team and swap between favorites like Spider-Man, Wolverine, Daredevil, and Captain America on a dime. They even featured some more obscure characters, like Black Panther long before he became a household name thanks to the MCU film. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 was a Switch exclusive that got a good-not-great reception, but it still scratched the itch. Wolverine (2009)The Wolverine Origins movies were not great, but this game tie-in actually was. Raven Software took liberties with the movie script and combined it with comics lore to create a semi-original story for the hack-and-slash featuring everyone's favorite Canadian superhero. The marquee feature was a graphic depiction of Wolverine's mutant healing factor, which let you see the muscle and sinew rebuild itself after he got into a particularly ugly scrape. In effect it was just a flashy way to show auto-healing, but seeing it on Wolverine just made it so cool. Besides that, it was a decently fleshed-out game in general, with a full skill tree and good variety to the enemy encounters. Marvel Pinball (2010)Not long ago, mega-successful franchises would get physical pinball tables manufactured and distributed to arcades and bars across the country. Pinball is more of a niche hobby now, but Zen Pinball has kept the trend going with a wide array of virtual pinball tables, which often tie into popular movies and TV shows. Marvel Pinball is a hub for these inventive table designs, starting with a few heroes like Spider-Man and Wolverine and eventually expanding with DLC to include comic arcs like World War Hulk and the Infinity Gauntlet. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions (2010)Activision and Beenox produced a series of Spider-Man games to mixed results, but Shattered Dimensions had the creative hook of bringing together the Spider-Man multiverse. Rather than playing as a single iteration of Spidey, you got to web-sling as both the Amazing Spider-Man and Ultimate versions, along with 2099 and Spider-Man Noir. That gave it a nice variety of tones and scenarios that had been lacking from other Spider-Man games. If the pitch sounds familiar, that's because it went on to inspire the Spider-Verse comic books, which in turn were adapted into the hit movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Marvel Puzzle Quest (2013)The Puzzle Quest series had humble beginnings as a somewhat generic swords-and-sorcery epic, albeit with the clever hook of adding RPG mechanics to a match-3 game. It's spun off in several directions since then, but Marvel Puzzle Quest might be the most successful. The live service mobile game has continuously added new heroes and scenarios for players to tackle as they expand their roster of heroes, using the same tried-and-true match-3. While it's a free-to-play game, players agree it's a relatively generous one that allows you lots of play time without having to pay a cent. Lego Marvel Super Heroes (2013)The Lego series of games lends itself to properties with plenty of playable characters and lots of unique environments to explore, so of course Marvel was a perfect fit. Lego Marvel Super Heroes and its sequel both use the enormous roster of iconic Marvel characters to let you team up with Captain America, Star-Lord, Spider-Gwen, and more. Like many Lego games it sorts its roster of heroes into different skill sets for puzzle-solving and combat challenges, so you can revisit stages with newly unlocked characters to uncover hidden secrets. See at Amazon Guardians of the Galaxy: A Telltale Series (2017)In the waning days of Telltale, the developer was putting out games based on just about every pop culture property you could think of. Guardians of the Galaxy had grown in popularity thanks to two successful films, and the bickering squabbles of the Guardians made it a good match for Telltale's style of storytelling. As Peter you had to make some tough choices that might anger Rocket or Gamora, and it all led to a galaxy-saving conclusion that nevertheless presented you with one more difficult decision. Following the lead of James Gunn's musically reverent films, each episode was named after a famous classic rock song. See at Amazon Marvel's Spider-Man (2018)Insomniac's take on the iconic wall-crawler followed years of middling games, and revitalized the hero for a new generation of consoles and gamers. The new Spider-Man took what was great about many of the classics like Spider-Man 2--namely the thrill of web-slinging your way across a realistic Manhattan--and added more fluid combat inspired by the Batman Arkham series and a filmic original story scaffolded by gorgeous cutscenes. This version of Spider-Man--recognizable by a suit unlike any of the character's hundreds of other incarnations--has earned his own place in Marvel lore. Insomniac's well-drawn Spidey universe will continue in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. See at Target Iron Man VR (2020)Lots of video games are about living out your wildest power fantasies, but VR can take it to the next level by letting you actually feel like you're flying high above the clouds. That was the concept behind Iron Man VR, a PSVR exclusive that put you behind the helmet of one of Marvel's most iconic heroes. The game let you explore freely, and critics praised its naturalistic flying mechanics--no easy feat in a VR game. See at Amazon Marvel's Avengers (2020)Marvel's Avengers has become known mostly for its divisive live service features that never quite caught in, which ultimately led to the decision to pull the plug. Servers are shutting down later this year, and the game will be delisted. Even with that in mind, Marvel's Avengers is worth playing for the solo campaign that will still be playable offline after the game is delisted.Crystal Dynamics made a full-fledged campaign starring relative newcomer superhero Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel. This faithful adaptation of her comic book power set was a well-told superhero coming-of-age story and a great bit of Muslim representation to boot. The powers of the rest of the heroes are nicely differentiated, whether you prefer a bruiser like Hulk or a ranged attacker like Iron Man. See at Amazon Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020)Insomniac's Spider-Man teased the arrival of fan-favorite character Miles Morales, who is a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man of his own. This spin-off game helped usher in the PS5 by giving Miles his own adventure, but it was more than just a palette swap for Miles' slick black suit. Morales' Spider-Man got his own full-fledged story complete with his own set of villains, having to learn the ropes of being a Spidey and protect the city while Peter was out of town. It also takes place in winter time, giving the whole affair a nice seasonal effect. See at Target Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (2021)After the mixed reception to Marvel's Avengers, expectations were tempered for Square Enix to produce another Marvel game. Similar to Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy from Eidos-Montreal was its own Guardians universe, distinct from the MCU, and told an original story more inspired by the comic books. But this version of the Guardians actually had a stellar story with tons of heart, following the found family of space rejects as they grappled with a massive cult creeping its way across the cosmos. The combat had you squarely in the role of the group's leader, Peter Quill aka Star-Lord, as he commands the guardians and even gives pep talks. See at Target Marvel Snap (2022)Marvel characters have gotten their fair share of mobile games, ranging from decent time-wasters to just plain old wastes of time. Marvel Snap is the only one to make an appearance on this list, though, because it's far and away the best. A collectible card game from veterans of the hit digital CCG Hearthstone, Marvel Snap captures the iconic power sets of each of its heroes, while the playfield is composed of three randomized zones. That randomness keeps you on your toes as you and your opponent take simultaneous turns. All that results in matches that are so quick and fun it's hard not to immediately queue up another. Marvel's Midnight Suns (2022)Marvel's Midnight Suns puts a fantastic tactical spin on its comic book source material, but don't treat this Firaxis-developed title as a reskinned XCOM. While Midnight Suns is undeniably influenced by the XCOM titles, it still has a unique flavor that combines a rewardingly cerebral experience with a deckbuilding card system that'll constantly challenge you. Battlefield strategies will only take you so far in this game, but once you start investing in the power of friendship between missions, you'll find a fun superhero romp set in the spooky supernatural corner of the Marvel universe. See at Amazon Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (2023)With two well-received games under its belt already, Insomniac has firmly established its formula for superhero games. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 reinforces that direction with its acrobatic combat and action-packed cinematic sequences that raise the bar for storytelling. But more than that, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 doubles down not only on its playable arachnid-themed heroes, but the idea of exploring the people behind the mask. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 builds on the previous games to deliver a thrilling rush of power and responsibility. It's a technical showcase on PS5 anchored by an incredible story, and we can't wait to see where the series goes next after that nail-biting conclusion. See at Amazon Marvel RivalsMarvel Rivals is arguably the most successful Marvel game released in the past several years. It has garnered millions of players since being released in late 2024, and remains incredibly popular in 2026. It's a hero-based multiplayer shooter featuring a staggeringly large lineup of Marvel heroes and villains to play as, with more being added through regular updates. If you've never played a hero shooter, there are several game modes you can play, but each one requires players on the same team to select a different character. Every character comes with their own unique abilities and stats, allowing you to master one or all of them to dominate the opposition. Marvel Rivals also features a ranked playlist, where you can truly test your skills, and it's completely free-to-play. See on Steam The PunisherThe Punisher is a game lost to time, as many people don't even know that a standalone game based on one of Marvel's best antiheroes was even released. Launching in 2004, The Punisher is slightly difficult to play today, but you can boot it up on PC or use the PCSX2 Emulator. If you do hop into The Punisher, you won't find a sprawling open world or overly impressive gameplay. However, The Punisher is an enjoyable beat-em-up game that involves you killing as many enemies as possible throughout various levels. You're essentially told to go from one place to the other, and what you do in between those locations is up to you. For the most part, though, you'll kill enemies and see some light story elements unfold.

So much so that I can’t help but crave a future where the next Fallout game allows us to play as a ghoul.

Expect memorable companions, tough moral choices and plenty of odd, fascinating situations rather than a typical hero-saves-the-world story.
On GeForce NOW, this story-heavy experience is easy to jump into, no high-end rig required. Gaming sessions can pick up right where they left off across supported devices, making it simple for gamers to sink back into the Ninth World whenever the story calls.

Title: GeForce NOW Celebrates Six Years of Streaming With 24 Games in February
Date: Thu, 05 Feb 2026 14:00:53 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-feb-2026-games-list/
Break out the cake and green sprinkles — GeForce NOW is turning six.
Since launch, members have streamed over 1 billion hours, and the party’s just getting started.
Throughout February, members can look forward to new games, fresh ways to play across more devices and even more ways to bring RTX power to every screen in the house.
There’s plenty to celebrate: the February games list kicks off with 24 new games. Start with the 10 new games in the cloud this week, including the launch of Team Jade’s Delta Force and the newest title launching in the PUBG universe, PUBG: BLINDSPOT.
Reporting for Duty
The ultimate extraction.
Delta Force, now boots on the ground and fully deployed on GeForce NOW, brings the tactical first‑person shooter from Team Jade (TiMi Studio Group) to the cloud. The game features high-stakes extraction with an all-out warfare mode, giving players a playground of open environments, vehicles and gadgets to pull off coordinated assaults.
Players join elite units tasked with tackling high‑risk missions across sprawling maps, from tight urban incursions to rugged open‑terrain operations. Expect strategic objectives, combined‑arms combat with land, air and sea vehicles, and tense firefights where teamwork and planning are just as important as quick reflexes.
On GeForce NOW, Delta Force leans into its high‑octane personality: fast drops, big maps and cinematic engagements that look sharp and feel responsive across devices. Members can squad up from almost anywhere, enjoy high‑resolution streaming and smooth performance, and stay ready for every op without waiting on downloads or big updates before jumping into the next mission.
New Mission
Squad up.
PUBG: BLINDSPOT, a new spin-off set in the PUBG universe from Krafton, expands the franchise with a standalone 5v5 top-down tactical shooter.
Set across tightly designed maps, matches focus on information, positioning and coordinated team play, with squads clearing angles, locking down objectives and outmaneuvering opponents in fast, round-based firefights. Every callout and ability use matters, turning each round into a layered tactical puzzle rather than a simple test of reflexes.
On GeForce NOW, responsive streaming and sharp RTX-powered visuals keep every angle, rotation and clutch play feeling precise, even on lower-powered devices. With support across a wide range of screens, the cloud makes it easy for the gaming squad to jump right into the action, without lengthy downloads or updates getting in the way.

Title: GeForce NOW Brings GeForce RTX Gaming to Linux PCs
Date: Thu, 29 Jan 2026 14:00:49 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-linux/
Get ready to game — the native GeForce NOW app for Linux PCs is now available in beta, letting Linux desktops tap directly into GeForce RTX performance from the cloud.
Alongside the expansion comes ten new games, including The Bard’s Tale IV: Director’s Cut and The Bard’s Tale Trilogy for a leveled-up gaming weekend.
And operators can squad up in Team Jade’s Delta Force when it deploys in the cloud on February 3, bringing high-stakes tactical action to nearly any device with no downloads required.
Linux Just Got RTX
Gaming on Linux just got a major RTX upgrade.
Starting with support for Ubuntu 24.04 and later, the new app delivers a seamless native experience that fits right into Linux desktop workflows. It transforms compatible Linux systems into high-performance GeForce RTX-powered rigs, streaming supported PC titles directly from the cloud at up to 5K resolution and 120 frames per second, or 1080p at 360 fps.
This new desktop-focused app goes beyond the earlier Linux experience that was tuned specifically for Steam Decks, which targeted handheld-friendly resolutions and up to 1200p at 90 fps. The beta Linux app is built for PCs and notebooks, offering an experience similar to the existing GeForce NOW app on Windows and macOS.
With GeForce NOW, rendering happens in the cloud, so demanding titles run on a wider range of devices. Experience how RTX technologies — including ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS 4 and more — bring games to life with RTX 5080 performance from the cloud.
Linux PCs and devices join the GeForce NOW native app family that also supports Windows, macOS, Chromebooks, mobile devices, smart TVs and more — unlocking flexible, on-demand gaming anywhere.
Download the app today.

A Tale of the Cloud
Adventure calls twice with two legendary journeys from inXile entertainment packed with wit, wonder and a few well-placed lute solos.
Sing loud, fight hard and out-charm enemies.

This dungeon-crawling role-playing game serves up clever puzzles, tactical turn-based battles and a hearty helping of bardic humor. Whether belting out battle tunes or charming foes into submission, gamers can enjoy an adventure that’s never sounded this good.
Relive the songs and chaos that started it all.
Plus, step back to where the saga began with The Bard’s Tale Trilogy. This remastered collection revives the classic, old-school dungeon crawling and tongue-in-cheek charm that started it all — now with smoother gameplay and polished visuals. It’s nostalgia wrapped in pure fantasy fun.
Hot off the Cloud

A graceful little robot having the worst day in the universe.
MIO: Memories in Orbit is a neon-tinged metroidvania about a nimble little robot waking up on a massive, overgrown ark called the Vessel with nothing but fractured memories and a whole lot of trouble coming its way. Dart through low-gravity corridors, chain together elegant wall-runs, glides and grapples, and tangle with rogue machines as the Vessel itself quietly steals the spotlight — moody, decaying and just alive enough to keep a few secrets.

Welcome to the Zone
Trust no one, file everything.
Quarantine Zone: The Last Check drops into the cloud this week, bringing the eerie isolation and grim decision-making of its Steam debut to any device powered by GeForce NOW.
Armed with advanced screening tools and instincts, players are put in charge of a critical checkpoint during a zombie outbreak — where one wrong choice could let the infection slip past the post. Screen survivors, manage scarce resources and hold back the undead. Holding the line is only the beginning — reinforce defenses and keep the camp alive as chaos intensifies with each passing day.
Quarantine Zone: The Last Check streams at full GeForce RTX 5080 power for GeForce NOW Ultimate members, bringing razor-sharp visuals and ultrasmooth performance to every tense border crossing. Every document check, difficult decision and late-night shift in the guard booth hits harder with maxed-out settings and buttery frame rates, all without long installs or hardware worries getting in the way of the paranoia.
No trip through the Devolver catalog would be complete without revisiting its eclectic, chaotic hits already streaming on GeForce NOW. Check out Cult of the Lamb, Ball x Pit, Hotline Miami, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, Inscryption and Enter the Gungeon — where every dodge roll matters and every chest hides mayhem.
Each of these titles showcases Devolver’s knack for daring design and unforgettable worlds — now all one click away through GeForce NOW.
Time to Play
Sink into the shadows and steal everything that isn’t nailed down.
Styx: Shards of Darkness sneaks back in with a signature goblin grin and a dagger never too far from trouble. Published by Focus Home Interactive, this stealth adventure leans into vertical level design, tight shadows and sarcastic commentary from gaming’s most lovable little assassin. Expect big, open environments to pick apart, a toolkit full of invisibility tricks, traps and clones, and plenty of chances to turn a quiet infiltration into chaotic improv when plans go sideways.
In addition, members can look for the following:
Quarantine Zone: The Last Check (New release on Steam, Jan. 12, GeForce RTX 5080-ready)
Star Wars Outlaws (Ubisoft Connect, now available on Xbox Game Pass)
The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon (New release on Steam, Jan. 15)

Title: Reanimal hands-on: A haunting co-op platformer built on trust, timing, and fear
Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2026 16:04:38 +0000
Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/02/11/reanimal-hands-on-a-haunting-co-op-platformer-built-on-trust-timing-and-fear/
Tarsier Studios is no stranger to invading our dreams. Its Little Nightmares series scared up some wonderfully disturbing gameplay that has lived long in memory, and now its spiritual sibling Reanimal is ready to pull us into another intense co-op platforming experience.
I was given access to the full game ahead of its February 13 release to feel first-hand the many delightful horrors that await.
A dark, dreamlike opening
Reanimal doesn’t waste any time, with a disconcerting intro to its protagonists. I started as The Boy, floating alone in a boat adrift in a sea of darkness. A press of R2 drove me towards a single red light bobbing on the horizon. That light led to another. And then another. Until eventually I stopped to haul a masked figure out of the sea…who immediately tried to strangle The Boy, my DualSense controller shuddering in the attempt.
It turns out this was The Boy’s sister, their reunion a sharp tone-setter for the brutal world ahead and an indication of how vital their collaboration is to survive.
Varied environments keep you guessing
While Reanimal starts off in bobbing waters, the setting changes and evolves in your search for the siblings’ friends Hood, Bucket, and Bandage. Your adventure across a fragmented island pushes you to an abandoned factory, an unsettling forest, a sinkhole-plagued city, and a waterlogged workshop, just for starters, before things vastly open up for more non-linear exploration.
Each area demonstrates that Tarsier can make practically anything creepy, with derelict gas stations, a bank of rattling washing machines and even playground animals feeling like an unspoken threat.
A focus on visual storytelling
As with the Little Nightmares series, Reanimal relies on minimal dialogue to convey its story. The characters speak in places, but many of its narrative beats are told through body language and smart use of camera angles to convey claustrophobia, tension, and direction. Not to mention the level design, which always provides a clue to your next objective or where to go, albeit often subtly. Speaking of design…
Sounds to make you quiver
Great audio design is essential to any horror game, and Tarsier leans into its genre experience with a creeping aural dread that can lurch into a full-blown jump scare. Music is used sparingly, leaving the sound effects to deliver the shivers and the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback to accentuate the shudders. A particular favourite of mine was the distant jingle of an ice cream van which foreshadowed…well, let’s just say I definitely screamed for ice cream.
Teamwork is essential
If you don’t have a human partner to survive with, Reanimal’s co-op artificial intelligence is more than capable of keeping you company. In my playthrough, The Girl followed quickly when needed, swiftly responding to a press of the Triangle button when we needed to give each other a boost to out-of-reach platforms.
Alternatively, a tap of L1 gets her to interact with certain elements in the environment. For example, one puzzle required me to walk across a giant metal drum which was spinning too fast to traverse. The Girl was prompted to flip a switch to temporarily stop the drum from rotating, long enough for me to get across it and create a platform for her to follow.
The co-op AI even occasionally performed acts that pushed me into action. During a particularly tense sequence involving the inside of a runaway van, a giant smashed through a window in an attempt to grab the masked siblings. Given the game’s general avoidance of direct combat, my first instinct was to hide, but my partner leapt up to strike the brute, making me realise I had a weapon to join in the attack.
Chilling set pieces are never far away
You’ll be doing a lot of sneaking, running, and hiding in the many haunting scenarios that make up Reanimal, with cinematic chases and rooms full of strange, slithering skin. One of my personal highlights was preceded by a crackling night-time movie theatre, with awkwardly posed bodies and shadowy flickers which made for a deeply unsettling experience. And while I died many times in some of the trickier areas, the quick respawn points were never far from where I made my mortal errors.
It’s not just about primal survival
Environmental puzzles play a big part of the game, ranging from simply finding wheels for a pump trolley, to more elaborate tasks. One had me in a forest of cut trees, where a solitary saw embedded in one trunk hinted at what my next action should be. Another had the siblings’ use a car for a battering ram, take a complex detour to rescue Hood, then have to find and fill a gas canister to refuel the car to escape an increasingly hostile situation.
There are many secrets in the shadows
Hidden away in the dark corners of the game are collectibles such as masks and concept art to find, some requiring steely nerves, keen eyes or just the twisted desire to dive into areas which go squelch in the night.
Better bring a flashlight – you’ll see how dark things can get when Reanimal launches on PS5 February 13.
Title: No Man’s Sky: Remnant update introduces gravity gun, live today
Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2026 14:00:17 +0000
Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/02/11/no-mans-sky-remnant-update-introduces-gravity-gun-live-today/
Last year was a big year for No Man’s Sky. Even we struggle to know how we pulled off so many large updates last year – Worlds Part II and Voyagers were both transformational and released in the same year, interspersed with smaller but significant updates in Relics, Beacon and Breach. As we head into our 10th year post release, our small team is excited for our first update of the year.
Play Video
Our new update is called Remnant and it introduces something that we’ve been wanting to give players since the very beginning – a gravity gun!
The Gravitino Coil is a powerful new anti-gravity module for your multi-tool. It turns No Man’s Sky into a physics playground. Allowing you to grab large objects and fling, toss or carefully carry them around the world.Salvage and debris that could always be found on planets can now be collected and recycled for rare and highly prized resources. New trucks, tipping flatbeds and haulers can be constructed, to transport resources back to industrial yards for reclamation. You can work alone or join a salvage crew with friends. It creates this really fun and tactile new loop of searching for wrecks, loading trucks full of cargo and hauling across the alien landscape to industrial yards to gain new loot and rewards.
Sorting and depositing materials in these all-new Waste Processing Plants will reap great rewards. Some of the scrap is highly volatile though and must be transported extremely carefully. It’s hard to resist over-stacking your truck, finding one more piece you think you can cram in, and then trying desperately to transport this house of cards on the back of your flatbed.
Our gravity gun is an industrial tool, but it can also be used as a ballistic weapon, grabbing sentinels or fling heavy objects, turning them into projectiles.
Vehicles can be hugely customised, to create bespoke trucks and haulers for your needs. Build your own brightly coloured incinerators, spider legged sci-fi explorer or heavily armed military vehicles with tank tracks.
The Remnant Update comes with a limited-time community expedition. It brings travellers together in convoys to clean up and reclaim a planet covered in wrecks and salvage. Perhaps you’ll be a hauler, or the gravity gun wielding ground crew or maybe a scary yard operator.
There are beautiful rewards, including dozens of new vehicle parts, and an all-new beautifully crafted armour set, with plush, padded fabrics and ornate steam punk detailing.
2026 represents 10 years since we launched on PlayStation and I couldn’t be prouder. For any game to reach such a milestone is a privilege. It wouldn’t be possible without your continued support and we genuinely appreciate it.
Our journey continues.
Title: New Helldivers 2 update out today
Date: Tue, 10 Feb 2026 13:00:19 +0000
Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/02/10/new-helldivers-2-update-out-today/
In an unprecedented and unforeseeable event, the Cyborgs have returned to once again threaten the liberty and sovereignty of Super Earth and its inhabitants. This nightmarish turn of events follows the discovery that the Automatons seized the schematics for the Star of Peace with the intent to build one for themselves and use it for their dark and violent purpose. They have been tasked by the Cyborg Legion to carry out these crimes.
Play Video
The Helldivers have been ordered to take on the dark and grim streets of Cyberstan’s cities and stop this collusion of bots and Cyborgs in its tracks!
The factory cities
Now Super Earth is taking the fight to the heart of Cyberstan. Drop into the bot homeworld and prepare to breach the fortress walls of their massive factory cities. Fight through the inhospitable landscapes that power the Automaton war machine: industrial complexes that are heavily defended with hazards around every corner.
The community of Helldivers must work together to clear a path through Cyberstan’s factory cities–choose which cities to destroy, making sure to bring down every building and leave no bot standing as you democratize these heartless machines.
New mission & objectives
Your primary mission will be to stop the production of more Cyborgs, as well as compromise Automaton defenses trying to stand in your way. Helldivers will also have the opportunity to clean up: destroy their mega factories building by building, and tear down the symbolic statues of the war criminals and terrorists revered by Cyborg scum in order to further destabilize and demoralize their regime.
But beware–an old familiar threat rises in these dark, foreboding streets: the Cyborgs have returned with new weapons of mass destruction.
Old enemies return
You must face down three new types of enemies in the Cyborg subfaction. Outsmart the Agitators, who command the Automaton legion in the field, are heavily armored and can take control of enemy squads, making tactical decisions on the battlefield.
Fight them while the Cyborg Radicals rush you from every side to make the fight up close and personal. They are the most extreme vision of a wretched Cyborg-run future: they push their bodies to the limit with cybernetic and bio-enhancements, turning themselves into a mockery of humanity.
And finally, fight the Vox Engine: the Voice of the Cyborg Legion. This war machine, piloted by a high-ranking Cyborg officer, rolls across the battlefield, blaring Cyborg’s propaganda. It is armed with dual laser cannons, rockets, laser gatlings–all to ensure no one can stop the spread of their message.
Helldivers call for aid
And Super Earth shall answer! Along with the recently-deployed Siege Breakers Warbond which features defensive assistance like the G/SH-39 Shield, Helldivers will also be able to purchase the War Horses set of armor in the Superstore.
Global reinforcement limits
Sending reinforcements to Cyberstan is a great risk for Super Earth, which means it will be essential for the Helldivers to stay alive for as long as possible.Every death will be counted in the Battle for Cyberstan, using a Galactic Reinforcement Counter marking the finite number of Helldivers able to be deployed. If the counter reaches zero, it means we have lost the Battle for Cyberstan.
Helldivers, we cannot lose to this renewed Cyborg threat. Your objectives must be completed while ensuring maximal lifespans for all divers. Stim your squadmates, bring defensive stratagems, and survive as you fight your way across Cyberstan, destroying the factory cities together!
The latest Helldivers 2 update, Machinery of Oppression, is live now!
*Requires base game, paid purchase of Super Credits, and game progression to unlock.Gameplay requires internet access and paid-for PlayStation Plus membership (sold separately) on PS5.

Title: A day after launch, Starsand Island's devs address those user agreement, modding, and fake review concerns
Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2026 18:03:52 +0000
Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/a-day-after-launch-starsand-islands-devs-address-those-user-agreement-modding-and-fake-review-concerns
This is probably a sentence that could be said literally any day of the week, but a new cosy farming sim is on the block, this time taking the form of Starsand Island. The flavour on this occasion is of the anime variety, with some slightly goofier farming mechanics (i.e. turning your watermelon patch into one singular, 10 foot tall watermelon), some very Pokemon Legends: Arceus looking combat, and some appropriately cute animals to hang out with. And there's skateboarding! But never do launches go all that smoothly, as developer Seed Sparkle Lab have had to do a dash of damage control regarding some concerns over the game.

Title: ShipShaper is a chill boat builder with a demo you can use to make sleek sloops or beastly barges

The fine frigate which serves as the featured image for this article is called the Stately Gunwale. That's not a name I, the boat's creator, gave it. It's a name ShipShaper's demo automatically assigned my vessel when I picked the set of colours I wished it to be painted. Quite frankly, I doubt I could have dreamed up a more fitting moniker for my deliberate attempt to fling something funky onto the high seas.

Title: Epomaker G84 HE gaming keyboard review: magnetic switches on a budget, kinda
Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2026 16:31:16 +0000
Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/epomaker-g84-he-gaming-keyboard-review-magnetic-switches-on-a-budget-kinda
I’m planning to better balance the recent glut of high-end hardware reviews with some genuinely affordable stuff, but in the meantime, here’s something that’s a little of both. The Epomaker G84 HE is another Hall effect keyboard, meaning its magnetically operated switches can be adjusted for actuation height, and/or set up for strafey-strafey, shooty-shooty rapid trigger/Snap Tap shenanigans in compatible games. Both are features you’d normally expect to run pricing up into the triple figures, and yet at £80/$85, the G84 HE costs more like a lower-mid-range, traditionally mechanical 'board.

Title: Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties sets up an intriguing path, but RGG will need to prove it’s worth joining them on that road

Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/yakuza-kiwami-3-dark-ties-sets-up-an-intriguing-path-but-rgg-will-need-to-prove-its-worth-joining-them-on-that-road
WARNING: Major story spoliers for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, as well as the original Yakuza 3, lie ahead.
It’s natural to spend a lot of time thinking about what games could have been, had different decisions been made. Whether the change is preferable to the reality often doesn’t come into it, the fantasy of another possible world is the draw.
Despite that, few studios choose to make major shifts - at least as far as the main stories of those games go - when they remake their previous games. This won't necessarily be a philosophical decision: the remaster or remake has to sell. Games which get revisited are ones players deeply love, and the suits will inevitably see tweaks to their fundamentals as an unnecessary risk. Old Oblivion is loved, so Bethesda adopted a rubber glove approach to the Oblivion remaster. They limited changes to modernising visuals and snipping away some annoying features. It's akin to polishing up a holy relic, rather than replacing the gemstones or changing the engravings.

Title: I recreated every katsu curry recipe in Romeo is a Dead Man and almost none of them made me better with swords

Like all white, middle-class Londoners, I subsist on a diet comprised mainly of salted caramel and katsu curry. It appears Grasshopper Manufacture, makers of maximalist action adventure Romeo is a Dead Man, appreciate that delightful marriage of rice, breadcrumbs, and carroty sauce as well. Our lad Romeo can gather up katsu ingredients before delivering them to his waiting mum, who’ll turn them into one of ten mouth-watering, buff-applying curries.
But can those recipes nourish us, fleshy humans of IRL make, with the same benefits? To find out, I prepped, cooked, and taste-tested all ten of Romeo’s mum’s katsu creations in my own kitchen.
