Steam is abuzz this week with a couple of long-anticipated launches, but in Forza Horizon 6’s case, at least, the game isn’t even out for what will be most of its players. The anticipated sequel in the open-world driving game series doesn’t officially launch until May 19, but owners of its most expensive version - the Premium Edition - can play it right now. Read more

Title: RPG Players Are Recreating Female Character Hairstyles IRL And The Results Are Hilarious
Date: Thu, 09 Jul 2026 21:52:14 +0000
Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/rpg-players-are-recreating-female-character-hairstyles-irl-and-the-results-are-hilarious/
Regardless of your gender, if you've ever created a female or femme-presenting player-character--especially in an RPG--you've almost certainly encountered an issue that has been plaguing the genre since games first made the jump from 2D to 3D: really, really, really bad hairstyle options for female characters. And look, I get it. Animating a million little strands of hair is difficult and time-consuming, and devs don't always have the funding to make a ton of flowing hairstyle options with long, luscious locks.
But that doesn't stop them from attempting to portray longer hair--it just tends to be styled in a convoluted up-do that says, "See, this character totally has a lot of hair, she just spends six hours every morning following intricate Ye Olde Hair Tutorials to ensure her locks will not move no matter how many heavy attacks she takes."
Now, RPG players are bringing these off-the-wall hairstyles to life via tongue-in-cheek videos depicting the struggle players face when trying to create a female character with long hair. From long ponytails that do not react to physics whatsoever to traffic cone-shaped up-dos, here are some of our favorite player-made takes on female video game hairstyles.
1. Cursed pigtails
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DagFarxh9ul/
No matter when or where an RPG is set, for some reason there always seem to be at least six different pigtail-style hair options, all of which somehow manage to both suck and look wildly out of place, especially when your character is fully decked out in heavy armor.
2. Messy buns
https://www.tiktok.com/@lannafeels/video/7654768567174417678
Nothing says, "I am the chosen one, here to save the realm!" like rocking up to the battle looking like an Owlbear just tried to build a nest in your hair. Why accurately emulate the look of historical hairstyles when you can just give 'em the ol' "haircut courtesy of my five-year-old sister" special?
3. Long, yet impervious to physics
https://www.tiktok.com/@nataliireynoldss/video/7654343552859737375
If you do find a long hairstyle, make no mistake: It absolutely will not move. If, by some miracle, it does move, it will move as one singular mega-hair rather than a head of individual strands.
4. Those frickass bangs with a random braid
https://www.tiktok.com/@maidenlessmelody_/video/7652707175919258900
Nothing says "elegant badass" like a single, tiny braid in the middle of your forehead.
5. Long hair, but make it look short
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/aqK-KOw-IE0
Inevitably, when you do find a longer hair style, devs will have gone out of their way to make sure it looks weird from just about every angle, with strands that have been twisted, braided, and wrapped around themselves to the point that even getting hit with Storm of Vengeance wouldn't blow a single hair out of place. These styles are often very tall or wide, to give the appearance of length, while ensuring nobody actually has to animate it.
On the bright side, things are definitely getting better--as much as I struggled to enjoy Dragon Age: The Veilguard, I do have to give credit where credit is due: My character may have looked like a half-melted Bratz doll, but every single strand of her hip-length hair moved individually, and responded appropriately to wind, body movement, and changes in inertia. The most fun I had with that game was watching my Rook's hair flip around as she dove and dodged in combat. Veilguard also had a phenomenal selection of POC hairstyles, going far beyond the usual "generic fade for men, afro or short braids for women" offerings found in most games. (EA's Frostbite Engine is the source of the magic behind Veilguard's great hair physics.)
Still, there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to hair animation in the games industry. As much as I get a kick out of seeing what lengths studios will go to in order to avoid having to animate long hair, I do hope that more studios--especially those working on RPGs with custom player-characters--take the time to animate hair with the care it deserves.
In the meantime, I'll be over here trying to figure out where I can get my hands on some of this magical, gravity-defying hairspray that seems to be available to every female NPC in every RPG game ever.

Link: https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/best-new-co-op-games/2900-7377/
The best new co-op games are those that do something a bit different, offering more than a single-player experience with another player thoughtlessly tacked on. These multiplayer games account for groups of friends all wanting their own role, with a shared goal in sight and plenty of chaos on the path to getting there. Whether you prefer a chilled out co-op experience or something a bit more frenzied, the last six months have been rich with new co-op titles for you and your pals to gather around.
This list looks at the full spectrum of new co-op games, from drop-in party games to detailed story-based adventures requiring two players. These games all require a joint investment from at least two people to really get the most out of them, making them the perfect games to show to friends, partners, kids, and family. Slay The Spire 2
Release date: 5 March, 2026
Arguably one of the biggest changes introduced in the much anticipated Slay The Spire 2 is the ability to play co-op. Multiplayer functionality has revolutionized the game, it works beautifully against all odds, and is now one of the key selling points of the sequel. Enemies harm you all equally in battle, and their health scales appropriately to the number of players, so there's no fear of the game going easier on you for having back up. If you can't agree on a decision, you'll rock-paper-scissors it out, and hopefully strengthen your friendship in the meantime.

Subnautica 2
Release date: May 14, 2026 (Early Access)
While Subnautica 2 is still in Steam Early Access, you'll want to grab it ASAP if you like exploring alien worlds with your pals. The sequel to 2018's Subnautica supports up to 4-player co-op, meaning you can combine skills and wits to build a sturdy base and survive in a challenging underwater environment. Swapmeat
Release date: June 17, 2026
Swapmeat is a fairly grotesque premise, but nevertheless makes for an excellent, fast-paced, drop-in co-op for up to 4 players. Combat is about grabbing body parts and making the most of them, hitting people with their own hands, outmaneuvering them on their own legs, and stealing their head to power yourself up.
Pretty much everything the enemy might turn against you can be stolen and used against them, and these parts are combined at random, meaning no two runs will ever be quite the same. Difficulty scales when new players join,s o the more you have, the more of a challenge enemies will present, whereas tackling it alone might be a little easier. Within that you have four difficulty levels, though, so if the extremely quick-on-the-draw combat takes some time to adjust to, you can always dial things down a notch.

33 Immortals
Release date: 10 June, 2026
When we say co-op or multiplayer we don't usually mean 33 players at once. That's the premise of 33 Immortals though, a co-op action roguelike for 33 players that lets you swarm enemies and try to overpower them in both skill and sheer numbers.
You and your fellow Immortals are damned souls, going up against God and starting a rebellion, so the stakes couldn't really be higher. There are no lobbies for online co-op, you'll just be dropped straight into the action, or you can play with up to 4 of your pals in a more streamlined version of the game (or even alone, but that seems like a challenge).

Meccha Chameleon
Release date: 10 June, 2026
You might have seen this one being streamed already, as Meccha Chameleon quickly became in turn viral, and then a meme in its own right within just a few days. It's a chaotic hide-and-seek variant where plain white-bodied mannequins look to hide from the Seekers by painting their bodies to match with their surroundings. Hiders can pose and hide all they like, but without a bit of artistic flair their bright white bodies might be spotted against the colourful backgrounds of the game. It's recommended to play the game with up to 10 players, but adding more is possible depending on your network capabilities.

In the game, you and a friend team up to carry a demanding King on a stretcher, while navigating challenging medieval courses packed with deadly obstacles. You’ll need to keep momentum, speed, and balance in check, so communication will be key in keeping the stubborn king from rolling down a hill or into a river. Reanimal
Release date: 13 February, 2026
Reanimal is already one of the best co-op adventure games to play in 2026, especially if you like your games packed full of creepy symbolism and tense, jump-inducing moments. It's a compact experience for fans of Little Nightmares--playing on the same style as two tiny protagonists try to escape impossible horrors with very little in the way of weapons or strength. Instead, you'll have to use your shared wits (and a claustrophobic shared camera) to stay safe and sane despite literally everything.

YAPYAP
Release date: 3 February, 2026
If we're honest, we all love a bit of Friendslop, and YAPYAP is an excellent example of the slightly amorphous genre encompassing something a bit different from the endless cooking, moving house, or driving games. Instead, YAPYAP's sweet whimsical outer layer pretty quickly gives way to a horror game--still absurd and slightly weirdly cute, yes--but a horror game nonetheless. Strange and twisted creatures will attack as you try and break through the wizard's defences to access the tower, and once you're in, all you have to do is cause as much chaos as possible without getting caught. Block his toilet, smash his precious tools, anything you can do to make his life a bit worse with your voice-chat-controlled spells.

Title: Black Flag Resynced Hides Its Connection To Assassin’s Creed Shadows, And That’s A Shame
Date: Thu, 09 Jul 2026 17:55:00 +0000
Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/black-flag-resynced-hides-its-connection-to-assassins-creed-shadows-and-thats-a-shame/
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced isn't just a remake of the sixth mainline game in Ubisoft's historical fantasy action-adventure series: It's a sequel. And, surprisingly, it's not a sequel to Assassin's Creed III like the original Black Flag was back in 2013. Instead, Resynced is a sequel to 2025's Assassin's Creed Shadows. Bizarrely, however, Resynced hides this fun little tidbit away. And that's a shame, because I really like how Resynced continues Shadows' story.
I shouldn't be surprised that Resynced is a sequel to Shadows. Chronologically, their historical stories take place back-to-back. Shadows takes place after the events of the Ezio trilogy--Yasuke even speaks with a priest about the events of Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood, and Ezio's effects on Italy and Europe at large. In Assassin's Creed's timeline, the events of the Kenway Saga follow that of the Ezio trilogy, and even though Assassin's Creed III is the first of the Kenway Saga games to come out, Black Flag is the first chronologically--it follows the events of Edward Kenway, grandfather of Assassin's Creed III's Connor Kenway.
Also, as we noted two weeks ago, Assassin's Creed Shadows' final DLC is a direct lead-in to the events of Black Flag, implying that Shadows' Naoe and Yasuke had a big part in giving the Assassins an early advantage in the West Indies, especially in terms of knowing to start looking for the Observatory. With hindsight, it makes perfect sense that Shadows should lead into Resynced.
Which makes it all the weirder that Resynced basically hides that it's a sequel.
For one, when you first boot up Resynced, it plays the exact same intro that plays when you first start Shadows. It welcomes you to the Animus, while hinting that you're being lied to and should seek out the truth within the simulation you're experiencing. When it played at the start of Resynced, I figured that meant that time in the Assassin's Creed universe had not progressed forward. That, narratively, the Animus users in Resynced's present day were opening their simulations in-line with the users who had booted into Shadows.
However, if you take the time to find four rifts scattered around the Caribbean, it's clear that this game takes place after the events of Shadows. In Shadows, your avatar is occasionally pulled into a space between the simulated memories of Naoe and Yasuke, where you interact with mysterious figures known as the Guide and Ego. The former believes that humanity should have a right to choose, while the latter has a darker outlook and wants to use artificially generated content to brainwash society into following Ego's leadership.
There's more to discover if you want--namely that the Guide and Ego are two warring sides of the same artificial intelligence that was created by the Templars in the modern day, and it's using the simulated memories of Naoe and Yasuke and your reaction to it to determine which line of thought to pursue. However, the main plot points involving the Guide and Ego, as well as a helpful individual known as Eagle, are mandatory parts of Shadows' story. You don't exit the Animus entirely to play through these modern-day elements like you did in previous Assassin's Creed games, but you are forced to exit the simulation of Naoe and Yasuke to get enough context for what's going on.
Resynced continues this narrative thread, as Ego uses four rifts to test your conviction when it comes to wanting free will and presenting you with simulated realities that are designed to make you feel like giving away all your rights to an artificial intelligence is the best path forward. But unlike Shadows, none of these moments are mandatory to progress the story. You can easily skip them, and if you don't know to look for them, you might not even know that they're there.
Presumably, the philosophy here is that those who want more of this storyline will instinctively know to search it out, while those who don't care about the present-day narrative elements can easily pass this by.
This feels like a lost opportunity, though. The rifts in Shadows provided the narrative framing for its story, and by extension the rifts in Resynced do the same for it. It's a stronger story with them there, and making it possible for players to miss all of them and not know that Resynced is actually building on the storylines of another game feels like a misstep--especially considering how well the two work back-to-back.
The modern-day storyline of Shadows dealt with ignorance, and how choosing to ignore the problems around you does not protect you and those you care about. It was a fascinating framing for Shadows, as Naoe and Yasuke's stories took place during a time when Japan was largely cut off from the rest of the world, which within Assassin's Creed's historical fantasy made the country especially susceptible to the machinations of the Templars. Naoe and Yasuke learn that concerning yourself only with your own immediate spot in the world is dangerous, and that rebelling against the status quo and ignorance is a duty.
That leads perfectly into Resynced, which follows Edward Kenway's rebellious life. He fights against the desires of his wife, he fights against England's crown as a pirate, he fights against his role in life by chasing wealth, and he fights against the philosophy of the Assassins--his existence is rebellion. And the modern-day storyline in Resynced frames Edward's actions (as well as those of the pirates around him) to spell out a warning that rebelling against the status quo and ignorance can be dangerous and that you shouldn't do it. Now, obviously, Ego is wrong. But with this framing, it makes Resynced feel almost like a rebuttal to the Guide's philosophy in Shadows.
I assume the next Assassin's Creed, Project Hexe, will act as the tiebreaker so to speak between Shadows and Resynced, creating a trilogy of games that deal with two artificial minds battling to convince Animus users whether the Assassin or Templar doctrine is the better path forward. If that's the case, the problem now is that a lot of fans will only have half of the argument (and that's assuming they played Shadows from start to finish). Because so much of Ego's side is optional thanks to how Resynced seems to keep the modern-day plotline a secret, it's difficult to see how Ubisoft plans to try to continue this story in some way that ensures the fanbase is completely caught up.
If the plan was for Resynced to always have been a sequel to Shadows, I would have liked for the remake to commit to that. Since Resynced is a full on remake and not a mere visual remaster, you can have Edward learn about Naoe and Yasuke's contributions from the Assassins (and better yet--those of Kassandra as well!), and ensure the modern day framing is more prominent and connected to more recent games in the franchise. There's no need to secret away Resynced's connection to the franchise, when the game is made so much stronger when you know it's as a sequel to Shadows.

For the last couple of years, the Epic Games Store has given away free games every week through its PC storefront. With the company having launched its own mobile store, it has also started a second free games program on iOS and Android devices, kicking things off with a curated library of titles and weekly freebies. The app also features mobile versions of Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League Sideswipe.
To access these games you will need to create a free Epic account and install the free Epic Games Store mobile app and log in with your account, but once you do, you can start claiming your free games every Thursday through it. One other thing to note is that Android users can access the app via Android-based emulation devices like Retroid Pocket, as they aren't limited to just smartphone and tablets.

For now, only iOS users in the European Union can install the app, but the app is available worldwide to Android device users and they have a wider selection of games to choose from in comparison. On July 7, Sony announced it will shut down the PlayStation Store on PS3 and Vita. The closure begins in August in some regions, and concludes worldwide in July 2027. For many of us, that leaves time to snag digital editions of some excellent PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 games before they are no longer offered, and to save significantly compared to buying physical editions of those same titles.
Title: Xbox could've had the next Baldur's Gate 3, but just killed its best shot

This week, Xbox announced a sweeping overhaul of its business that will see the company cutting 3,200 total jobs by next summer. That decision has already led to catastrophic results for studios under Xbox that have reportedly been gutted, including Doom developer Id Software. Obsidian Entertainment especially took a hit as part of the first layoff wave, losing 25% of its staff amid a major shake-up in the studio’s direction. According to a Bloomberg report, the remaining team has been tasked with making a new Fallout game as Xbox tightens its focus on its biggest IP. As a result, that directive reportedly means the team will be pushing aside some projects it was working on, including a sequel to 2025’s Avowed.

Date: Thu, 25 Jun 2026 13:00:34 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-steam-summer-sale-2026/
Summer savings are heating up. From the Steam Summer Sale to GeForce NOW membership discounts, this week’s GFN Thursday delivers double the deals and more ways to get the most value from cloud gaming.
Plus, Dark Scrolls joins the growing Devolver lineup, alongside Square Enix’s The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. They lead the charge for six new games joining the GeForce NOW library this week.
Steam Dreams Are Made of These
Add to cart, not to storage.
The Steam Summer Sale is here, bringing discounts across thousands of PC games as one of the year’s biggest opportunities to grow a gaming library.
Supported Steam games can be streamed across devices with GeForce NOW, making it easy to buy a game once, keep progress synced and pick up where the gameplay left off on PCs, Macs, handheld devices, phones, TVs and more.
In other words, the Steam Summer Sale brings the deals; GeForce NOW adds the flexibility.
As new titles expand collections, storage demands and hardware requirements expand with them. GeForce NOW helps remove those barriers by streaming supported games from powerful GeForce RTX servers in the cloud, allowing members to enjoy today’s biggest games on devices they already own. Since downloads and installs are handled in the cloud, games can be added to the cart without being added to storage.
Check out the “Sales & Special Offers” row in the GeForce NOW app to discover the discounts today.
The Ultimate Upgrade to Level Up for Less
The upgrade every game deserves.
The deals don’t stop there. Pair GeForce NOW’s summer sale with the Steam Summer Sale to spend less time waiting on downloads, managing storage or needing pricey hardware upgrades — and more time gaming.
Get $70 off a 12-month Ultimate membership or $35 off a 12-month Performance membership and experience GeForce RTX-powered gaming in the cloud across devices.
The Ultimate membership unlocks GeForce RTX 4080- and 5080-class performance in the cloud with up to 4K resolution, up to 120 frames per second (fps) and advanced technologies like NVIDIA DLSS, ray tracing and NVIDIA Reflex.
Dig Into Devolver
Written in chaos.
Dark Scrolls, the kinetic action roguelite from Devolver Digital, arrives on GeForce NOW with its blend of fast combat, evolving builds and unapologetic chaos. Set in a warped fantasy world that doesn’t take itself too seriously, players battle through shifting arenas packed with enemies, hazards and power-ups that can turn a run from fragile to unstoppable in seconds.
Stack abilities, experiment with wild combinations and adapt on the fly as the game constantly raises the stakes — rewarding bold play as much as careful movement.
On GeForce NOW, Dark Scrolls is ready the moment players are, streaming across devices with no downloads or setup required. It joins a growing lineup of Devolver Digital titles on the service — Cult of the Lamb, Hotline Miami, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, Inscryption, Enter the Gungeon and Ball x Pit — each delivering that distinct mix of style, surprise and controlled chaos, and just a click away with GeForce NOW.
A Storybook Across Centuries
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales arrives on GeForce NOW, delivering a charming, narrative-driven adventure filled with mystery and discovery. With a hand-crafted world and a focus on exploration, it blends classic adventure gameplay with modern, character-driven storytelling.
Follow Elliot — a curious traveler bound to a mysterious Millennium Core — as he’s pulled across eras in a journey that spans neon skylines, forgotten ruins and quiet villages on the edge of legend. Each era has its own rules and rhythms, with Elliot’s reactions and scribbled journal notes giving the story a warm, personal touch.
Stream the cinematic-quality visuals and responsive gameplay with GeForce RTX power in the cloud for Ultimate members. Experience Elliot’s time-twisting journey in sharp detail across supported devices — no high-end rig, patches or paradox prep required. Just jump in and pick up from wherever the last chapter left off.
In addition, members can look for the following:
Dark Scrolls (New release on Steam, available June 22)
SAND: Raiders of Sophie (New release on Steam, available June 22)
Deer & Boy (New release on Steam, available June 23)
EMPULSE (New release on Steam, available June 24)
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales (Steam)
FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves (Steam)
Leaving the last word to the Community Corner, one GeForce NOW member recently shared being “so impressed” by GeForce NOW. They gave the service a spin because of affordable pricing and took a lower-end PC from 20-30 fps on low settings to 60+ fps with settings maxed out — really putting the WoW in their World of Warcraft.

Title: Sync and Stream: GeForce NOW Connects to Members’ Game Libraries Across Devices
Date: Thu, 18 Jun 2026 13:00:32 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-game-stores/
Play favorite titles from popular game libraries, keep progress synced and jump back into gaming sessions on virtually any device.
That’s the power of GeForce NOW cloud gaming.
From providing access to members’ favorite game libraries to offering some of the season’s best membership pricing, GeForce NOW is making it easier than ever to get more from the cloud this summer.
Plus, check out the seven new games arriving in the GeForce NOW library this week.
Hit Play Across Top Game Stores
That’s a whole lotta ways to play.
Whether it’s blockbuster franchises, competitive shooters, sprawling role-playing games (RPGs) or indie gems, GeForce NOW supports thousands of games from leading PC game stores, making it easy to bring existing game libraries to the cloud.
Connect supported game store accounts and stream titles with GeForce RTX power. Games that include cloud-save functionality help keep progress intact across devices. Start a game on one screen, pick up where playtime left off on another and spend less time managing installs and storage space.
Jump into fan favorites like Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt streaming through GOG. These sci-fi and fantasy favorites support cloud saves, making it easy to continue where play left off. GOG single sign-on and game library syncing — coming this summer — will make that process even smoother.
Explore ancient mysteries in the Assassin’s Creed franchise or team up for tactical action in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege through Ubisoft+, delivering iconic worlds and competitive experiences to the cloud.
Whether joining massive, all-in combat in Battlefield 6 or shaping the fate of Thedas with compelling companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the EA app offers action-packed experiences and beloved RPGs.
Find them in the GeForce NOW app by simply searching and filtering by store.
Choose the Screen, Keep the Adventure
Gaming doesn’t always happen at a desk — community members are sharing how GeForce NOW lets them play across their favorite devices.
GeForce NOW Ambassador and cloud gaming creator Anytime Anywhere Gaming recently showcased Dead as Disco — a PC title without a native mobile version — running on an iPhone through the cloud.
As he put it: “One of the coolest benefits of GeForce NOW is I can take the same copy of the game I own on Steam and carry it to my iPhone … it’s super awesome being able to play a game on a multitude of devices without having to buy it again.”
That flexibility extends beyond mobile. One GeForce NOW member on Reddit shared being “blown away” by the experience of playing on Mac through the cloud, highlighting how GeForce RTX-powered gaming can be enjoyed across devices, no upgrades required.
Whether via phone on the go, on a MacBook between work meetings or on a TV in the living room, GeForce NOW helps make PC gaming accessible across nearly every screen.

Summer lovin’, havin’ a sale.
For a limited time, annual memberships are available at the best prices of the year:

Title: Save Big and Play Bigger: GeForce NOW Summer Sale Brings Major Membership Savings
Date: Thu, 11 Jun 2026 13:00:17 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-summer-sale-2026/
The GeForce NOW summer sale kicked off today with limited-time savings of up to $70 off a 12-month membership, making now the perfect time to upgrade to get the best of the cloud and see just how far Ultimate gaming can go.
PC gamers are driven by one thing: the love of the game. But getting there can be complicated — setups take space, hardware takes planning and downloads take time.
GeForce NOW removes the barriers and delivers instant access to games, high-performance GeForce RTX power in the cloud and the ability to play across nearly any device — all with one membership. Regular upgrades and new features continue to expand the experience, building the value of that membership over time.
Plus, GeForce NOW is always delivering new games — including epic adventures across Tyria. Guild Wars 3 is coming to GeForce NOW, bringing its next-generation massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) experience to the cloud at launch. While awaiting its arrival, the journey begins today with Guild Wars 2 and Guild Wars Reforged, along with limited-time exclusive rewards.
Instantly Elevate Every Device
PC gaming demands more from players than ever. Bigger game files and more frequent updates can turn the urge to play into a long list of to-dos.
GeForce NOW streamlines that experience. Installs, patches and updates are handled in the cloud, so games are ready to launch in just a click. Time that would’ve been spent waiting on progress bars can go back into playtime, making it easier to fit gaming into quick breaks on busy days.
High-performance NVIDIA GPUs in the cloud means access to always-ready GeForce RTX performance without having to purchase new hardware. Members can tap into powerful servers that meet rising game requirements and keep pace with today’s games. And memberships continue to improve with platform upgrades — like the free Ultimate upgrade to the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture — extending their value, as well as the life of gamers’ devices, over time.
All of the gaming.
Laptops, phones, tablets and TVs — devices most gamers have at home and already use for school, work and everyday life — can all act as gaming screens. Streaming means not having to worry about hard drive space for installs and updates, or needing the latest devices.
Level up playing on Linux.
These benefits are reinforced by continuous quality-of-life improvements like smoother sign-ins, new platforms — like Linux and Amazon Fire TV — and refinements that make it faster and easier to get into a gaming session.
Together, these benefits make GeForce NOW the easiest way to enjoy PC gaming both instantly and over time, while keeping the focus on what matters most to gamers: getting into the game.
The Biggest Gaming Upgrade, the Best Price of the Year
Sale-ing into summer with huge savings.
For a limited time this summer, GeForce NOW memberships are available at some of the year’s best pricing — with major savings on 12-month memberships:
$35 off a 12-month Performance membership
$70 off a 12-month Ultimate membership
The Performance membership delivers smooth, high-quality cloud gaming across devices, with streaming up to 1080p at 60 frames per second (fps) and access to RTX-powered servers for supported games.
The Ultimate membership steps things up with RTX 4080‑ or 5080‑class performance in the cloud, supporting up to 4K and beyond on ultrawide displays, up to 120 fps, and advanced features like ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS and NVIDIA Reflex for a more responsive, visually rich experience.
These limited-time discounts won’t last long — beat the heat and jump into GeForce NOW.
A New Legend Rises
One of the best things about the cloud is that every week, new games become available to stream — including new AAA games at launch and the latest content and rewards.
The land of Orr awaits.
Guild Wars 3 marks the next adventure in Tyria — an action-adventure MMORPG where fluid combat, deep character building and a living world of magic and mystery shape every journey. Alliances are forged, spirits awaken and every step forward leaves a lasting mark on an untamed frontier. Be among the first to raise the banner. Gamers can add Guild Wars 3 to their wishlist today and stay up to date on every reveal as it marches toward launch.
While the next chapter in Tyria prepares to unfold, its legacy is ready to be played today.
Return to adventure in Guild Wars 2 and Guild Wars Reforged, and unlock exclusive in-game rewards for a limited time — available for GeForce NOW Premium members today through Saturday, July 11, and free to all members beginning Friday, June 12. Be on the lookout for an email with codes to redeem.
In Guild Wars 2, the “Masterpiece Emote Tome” turns every victory into a moment of flair — a chef’s kiss to triumph. Start playing by applying the code through an ArenaNet account or during account creation, then log in to access the emote.
In Guild Wars Reforged, the “Vision of Lyssa” costume brings elegance and illusion to life and includes an account upgrade. Inspired by the twin goddess, this striking ensemble can be worn over any armor. Redeem by adding the code in game, then visit a Costume Maker NPC to claim the reward.
But Wait, There’s More
Duet Night Abyss from Hero Games makes a splash on GeForce NOW, plunging players into a submerged world where survival is shared. Control a synchronized duo tethered by fragile oxygen lines, navigate glowing reefs, drowned ruins and shadowy chasms where every move demands trust and timing. The game’s moody visuals and tense, cooperative focus give each dive the feel of a playable deep-sea thriller.
GeForce NOW is kicking off a new Community Corner for the summer, spotlighting stories and creations from members across the globe. This week, a community story takes the spotlight as a Linux gamer on Reddit shares how GFN has helped them with accessibility gaming, saving storage space on massive titles and minimizing upgrades.
In addition, members can look for the following:
NBA THE RUN (New release on Steam, available on June 9)
Witchspire (New release on Steam, available on June 10)
SpaceCraft (New release on Steam, available on June 11)
Duet Night Abyss (Launcher)
DOOM Eternal (Epic Games Store)
The Elder Scrolls Online (Xbox, available on Game Pass)

Title: NVIDIA, KRAFTON, NC and Reigning ‘League of Legends’ Champions T1 Celebrate RTX Spark at Korea’s PC Bangs
Date: Sun, 07 Jun 2026 07:00:15 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/krafton-nc-t1-korea-gaming-pc-bang-rtx-spark/
At GTC Taipei at COMPUTEX last week, NVIDIA unveiled RTX Spark, the superchip that reinvents Windows PCs for the era of personal AI agents. On the heels of this announcement, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang headed to South Korea, where he introduced RTX Spark to the nation’s passionate gaming community.
Leading game developers — including Korea’s KRAFTON and NC — are already working to bring their titles to RTX Spark-powered systems.
Designed for local AI, creating and gaming, RTX Spark brings together 30 years of NVIDIA innovation to slim Windows laptops with all-day battery life and small, ultraefficient desktop PCs.
With the superchip, gamers can play AAA games at 1440p resolution and over 100 frames per second with NVIDIA ray tracing, DLSS and Reflex technologies. In addition, RTX Spark supports all NVIDIA RTX technologies, including the recently announced DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, which features a second-generation transformer model for realistic image quality.
RTX Spark Ignites Korea’s Gaming Community
Korea has played a major role in spearheading esports and driving the boom in PC bangs, or internet and gaming cafes. With longstanding collaborations rooted in the country, NVIDIA in October celebrated 25 years of GeForce in Korea with a free festival for gamers, highlighting the rich gaming ecosystem that has been built over decades.
On Friday, Huang headed to T1 Base Camp — a PC bang owned by T1, one of Korea’s top esports teams. There, he met with T1’s reigning League of Legends World Champion team, including six-time World Champion Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok to unveil RTX Spark.
NVIDIA and Riot Games — developer of League of Legends — are collaborating to bring the title as well as VALORANT to RTX Spark, expanding gamers’ access to high-performance gaming on slim laptops.
To mark the occasion, T1 Base Camp attendees had the chance to win RTX Spark laptops, League of Legends and T1 merch signed by Huang and Faker, as well as GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs.
Surprising PC-Bang Gamers
Later, Huang headed to Seoul’s Gangnam district, where he surprised PC-bang gamers with a first look at RTX Spark with KRAFTON and NC.
At the first stop, Optimum Zone PC, Huang and KRAFTON Chairman Byung-gyu Chang showcased PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and Subnautica 2 on RTX Spark to a captivated crowd of gamers.
Gamers then got the surprise chance to play with the unreleased PUBG Ally, a co-playable character built with NVIDIA ACE technologies on RTX Spark laptops. PUBG Ally resulted from AI research and development at KRAFTON and NVIDIA, part of an initiative to create next-generation game characters that act like teammates and enable more meaningful, immersive engagements with players.
Next, Huang stopped at another PC bang, Portal PC, where he showcased NC’s CINDER CITY and AION 2 on RTX Spark, with support from Taekjin Kim, co-CEO of NC.
NC and NVIDIA began working together in the early 2000s on the Lineage franchise and have since collaborated to integrate RTX technology into many of NC’s flagship games, including Lineage 2, AION, Blade & Soul, AION 2 and CINDER CITY.
Gamers at Portal PC were given the chance to play a demo of NC’s highly anticipated open-world massively multiplayer online tactical shooter CINDER CITY on GeForce RTX-powered PCs.
CINDER CITY will support the DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and Super Resolution features at launch. Plus, gamers will be able to experience the title on slim RTX Spark laptops and compact desktops when the game is released later this year.
In addition to KRAFTON, NC, and Riot Games, 100+ Windows software providers and game developers are embracing RTX Spark. These partners include NetEase, Remedy Entertainment and XBOX.

Title: The Blood of Dawnwalker: unique time-driven quest system and player choice detailed
Date: Tue, 07 Jul 2026 16:01:28 +0000
Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/07/07/the-blood-of-dawnwalker-unique-time-driven-quest-system-and-player-choice-detailed/
The world has gotten very small for you and your family, Coen. It was never a grand world to begin with, tied as you all were to your farm in the tiny village of Laslea, but with the arrival of the plague, your sister’s illness, and then the vampires, it has shrunk even further.
When you wake up, it’s the day of the Blood Mass for Laslea. Tonight, the vampires, the vrakhiri, will arrive to collect the oblation of their livestock. Every adult in the village must attend and give of their blood to sustain their rulers, Brencis and his clique. It is known. It is normal. Shockingly, it’s becoming more normal every day as the hope of change or salvation withers among the people of Vale Sangora.
Not everyone is cut out for this new normal. Your mother is barely able to hold herself upright under the weight of her fear. Your father, pulled in two directions by his family and his past, has become grim and hard. Your siblings are struggling to understand everything happening around them. And you, Coen, a young man in your prime, are stuck staring down a long future of being bled every fortnight, little hope for anything other than the life of cattle.
Is it any wonder some say it’s the end of the world?
And yet, the daily concerns of life must go on. Your mother is in no condition to attend the Blood Mass tonight and if she is not present, your family and maybe the entire village will suffer. The gates are guarded by Knyaz Brencis’s men – no one will be permitted to leave until the offering is extracted. Between dawn and sunset, the day is divided into 8 parts. You must use that time to find a solution.
So, you wander the sunny dirt paths of Laslea. Somehow, in spite of the clamp of the vrakhiri around your neck, even in this tiny village, the possibilities are endless. You could decide to go directly to Anca, the local herbalist, and ask for medicine for your mother and wind up spending most of the day reading Latin, soaking up every moment you can in her presence.
You could punch one of the Uriash, gigantic ram-like warriors occupying the village at Brencis’ command in an attempt to burst the boils of rage festering in your heart. You could go looking for an escaped pig or a lost neighbor, you could save the weaver by searching for a stolen tapestry commissioned by the vrakhiri, you could beat an upstart boy for insulting you, you could even uncover the start of a revolution against the vampires… but you may not be able to do it all.
You see, as long as you are wandering, watching, listening, never intervening, the sun will stay high in the sky. The Blood Mass will not arrive. The day will never turn to night.
To move time forward, you will have to choose. So you wander. You speak to an old woman weeping by an unearthed grave. You confront the man who lurks by the river. You ask your sister about the dark dreams that jolt you awake at night. You practice your sword skills on the animals in the woods. And, in your own time, you choose how your day unfolds.
Yet it is quickly made clear to you that some choices are out of your hands. There is no combination of actions and words at Coen’s disposal that can stop the Blood Mass once the sun sets. Some events have their own tides that cannot be resisted. Everyone has their own free will and no matter how earnestly you try, you can’t control the power of grief, of fear, of revenge.
The Blood Mass goes poorly. Decisions are made by you and your family that cannot be taken back, and deep in the night, you wake up in the bowels of Laslea’s silver mine with a strange new hunger. You are no longer fully human.
The wrath of the vrakhiri at the defiance of Laslea has chosen you as its scion.
Brencis picked you to turn into one of his own, a familiar face to destroy your friends and neighbors as one more twist of the knife. The surviving villagers, including your father, mother, and siblings, will be made a sacrifice to his coronation in 30 days. Your family has been crammed into the darkness of a cell, your existence squeezed down into the palm of Brencis’ hand.
And yet. As the village burns, as the sun rises, you are given a new choice. All is not lost. The light of the sun does not burn you, sear your flesh. Not even the vrakhiri could control this. In that moment, the world opens up, the shackles fall away. For you now have all the power and ferocity of a vampire, but all the feelings and connections of a human. You have something denied to you for so long: the ability to choose.
As you step out of the remains of your home, your village, the whole of Vale Sangora lays before you. There is a sword at your side. Your arm still aches from the magic runes Anca carved into your skin. The taste of copper lingers in the back of your throat.
You realize that, with enough blood and rage, you could rip this valley from the vrakhiri’s claws and feast upon its riches yourself. You could join the revolution, save your family and dispose of the vrakhiri. You could wash your hands of the entire affair and pursue whatever pleasures the next moment offers you.
You are a unique thing, Dawnwalker, and no one will ever write a future quite like yours. A new day is beginning; how will you spend it?
The Blood of Dawnwalker rises on PlayStation 5 this September 3, 2026.

Title: Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis shutting down means its Japan only, prequel phone game will remain unplayable
Date: Thu, 09 Jul 2026 21:54:56 +0000

It was not particularly surprising to hear that Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis, the other remake of Final Fantasy 7 that opts for a more faithful approach to the original game (if being filled with gacha rolls counts as faithful), is ending service. Square Enix have been ceasing development on pretty much every mobile game they have out at the moment, so why would this one be any different? It's a shame, though, not just because of the fact that it'll be completely inaccessible when it goes down, but because of its inclusion of Before Crisis.

Title: Stardew Valley enters the third dimension thanks to this in-development mod that even comes with VR functionality

I don't need to tell you that Stardew Valley is not a 3D game, and if I do, your understanding of dimensions is unsettling to me. However, where there's a will, there's a way, as a modder has done the unthinkable by adding an extra dimension to the beloved farming sim, turning it into something else entirely.

Title: Helldivers 2 is getting a new anti-cheater policy to stop you feeling bummed out and help the in-game economy
Date: Thu, 09 Jul 2026 19:07:32 +0000

If a game is online, there will be cheaters. This is an absolute in life, one that we'd all be better off without, but alas, not one that is always easy to get rid of. One such game that has suffered from cheating, much to the ire of its community, is Helldivers 2. Thankfully, though, Arrowhead Game Studios look to be working to dealing with the game's cheating problem, meaning you won't have to be so bummed out by those with unreasonably high Super Credits scores.

Title: Slay the Spire meets Terra Nil in The Solace of Flowers, an "eco-dystopian" deckbuilder in which you cover corrupted islands with foxgloves, bees and, er, lions

The Solace of Flowers is another tactical roguelike deckbuilder, but wait! This one's also a sweet, grid-based gardening game, awash with daffodils, foxgloves, squirrels, honeybees, and other species of plant or creature I recognise from my own allotment down the road. (Have I mentioned that I have an allotment now? I feel like I've bored some of you about it before.) You even get some lion cards, but please, don't scream - this is just developers Ceiling Games being whimsical and/or poetical. Those "lions" are actually a source of dandelion seeds, ho ho. There's also a duck card that throws away your whole hand and distributes vegetation at random: I'm picturing a mallard guzzling a bunch of blackberries and pooping seeds everywhere.
Honestly, I question the wisdom of some of the game's plant or animal characterisations, but there's no time to get picky about zoological nuance, because this is an apocalyptic world and a bunch of rancid godhands are trying to murder you.

Title: "A densely-packed open world game about death anxiety": Bad Magpie's avian mischief channels a lot of heartache
Date: Thu, 09 Jul 2026 18:00:00 +0000

Do they sing the song, where you are from? One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy… I wouldn't put it past magpies themselves to have learned this superstitious ditty. They've got a sharp ear for the human voice, after all, and studies indicate that they can count.
Perhaps they're even using the rhyme to mess with us. According to folklore, if you see one magpie, you can trill "Hello Mr Magpie, how is your lady wife" to chase away the prophesied sorrow. Being a creature of perpetual worry, I mutter this Victorian cantrip everytime I spy a pie, skidding over the road with a machine-gun cackle. Then, a second bird materialises from behind a bush, flanking me like one of her velociraptor ancestors, and I feel like I'm being trolled. "I used to do the exact same thing myself," comments Milktooth co-founder and design director Daisy Fernandez, "but it ended up becoming impractical now that I look at a magpie pretty much all day, every day."
