Title: TennoCon 2026: Every Big Warframe And Soulframe Announcement Date: Mon, 13 Jul 2026 13:08:55 +0000 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/tennocon-2026-every-big-warframe-and-soulframe-announcement/ The annual TennoCon event was held on the weekend, and once again, developer Digital Extremes had plenty of announcements regarding its two games, Warframe and Soulframe. The highlight was an extended look at Warframe's Tau expansion, followed by a closer look at Soulframe's new narrative questline and player-requested content like mounts. In case you missed it, you can catch up on all the reveals from TennoCon 2026 below. Warframe: Tau https://youtu.be/bRxDf7gu97g The headliner for Tennocon this year was the new look at Warframe: Tau, the next major Narrative Chapter in the game. Players will get to explore a new Star Chart, the Tau System, and uncover the mystery of the Sentient ring city of Fornax. Amidst a constant downpour of black rain and infighting between criminal factions, a ruthless crime boss known as The Hunra reigns supreme and will need to be removed from the picture. The new expansion launches later this year. New challenges require a new Warframe As you'd expect, taking down a deadly network of smugglers and enforcers is no small feat, and players can equip a new Chimera Warframe, called Brysko. A sentient Warframe that looks like it came straight out of a hard-boiled detective mystery--and voiced by Critical Role's Matthew Mercer--Brysko's arsenal includes brass knuckle attacks, explosive playing cards, and an Exalted revolver magnum known as the Corecracker. Warframe gets its first card minigame, Portau. When you're not blasting gangsters, you can kick back with a round of Portau. Billed as a "sentient" card game, Portau blends the rules of poker with its own suite of Blooms, Cores, Moons, and Suns. New enemies rise up Alongside the new Environment of Fornax that features high-end casinos, grimy shipping docks, and dilapidated slums, players can also take on the Fornax Drowners. Similar to the Sentients encountered within the Origin System, they've evolved into a deadlier form, and they'll put your Warframes to the test. Warframe is teaming up with Fortnite From one free-to-play game to another, Fortnite players can now purchase the Excalibur outfit, an in-game cosmetic. If you've purchased certain eligible items, you'll also get the cosmetic skin as a freebie. Updates aplenty in Warframe Ahead of the launch of Tau, Warframe players can look forward to several updates. Iceblade of Narin adds a new story quest, location, an ice-elemental Warframe, and a customizable Orokin vessel for their journey to the Tau galaxy. The major update will also rework several Warframes and make them more powerful than ever thanks to a range of Deluxe and Prime variants, gameplay is also being overhauled, and there'll be new Nightwave missions to jump into.  Soulframe recruits some Expedition 33 talent for its narrative. https://youtu.be/WiGRu3SQ-ZY While the fantasy-themed world of Soulframe is still in its alpha stage of development, Digital Extremes did show off more of the game and the features that'll make it feel both distinct and complementary to Warframe. Set in a world of high fantasy, the new trailer showed off the creeping blight threatening the world of Soulframe, and Digital Extremes also teased the new Warsongs missions. This questline is out later this year, and it'll provide plenty of exposition and plot beats that set up the main campaign of Soulframe. The new arc also features the talents of actors Ben Starr as the new antagonist, Tempest Bayor, and Jennifer English as the player ally, Empress of Eidvel. If both of those names sound familiar, that's because the actors previously starred in Expedition 33. Beyond Soulframe fleshing out its narrative even further, Digital Extremes will also continue to fine-tune the game with quality-of-life updates. Mounts are also coming to the game, alongside "Vegan Fishing" for some outdoor fun. TennoCon 2027 already has a date Next year's TennoCon event will be held roughly a year from now, July 16-17, 2027.
Title: My Chemical Romance And Baldur’s Gate 3 Is The Unexpected Crossover Making My Monday Morning Better Date: Mon, 13 Jul 2026 13:08:49 +0000 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/my-chemical-romance-and-baldurs-gate-3-is-the-unexpected-crossover-making-my-monday-morning-better/ My Chemical Romance, the essential emo band of your teen years, played three headline shows at London's Wembley Stadium over the weekend, but one of them took a pause for vocalist Gerard Way to discuss Baldur's Gate 3. Way noticed a fan's sign that read, "Have you ever played Baldur's Gate 3?" to which he responded, "No, I only ever played Baldur's Gate 1." He went on to add that he did play the Icewind Dale expansion, "But I just ran out of time." https://www.tiktok.com/@katanaluciana/video/7661439271026396438?_r=1&_t=ZN-97yGCGsxQoA Now, developer Larian Studios has responded to Way's revelation that he's not played the hit RPG. After initially posting on X, "What do you mean you haven't played the critically-acclaimed Dungeons and Dragons RPG, Baldur's Gate 3?" the studio went on to add, "There's a Baldur's Gate 3 code with your name on it if you fancy trying it." https://twitter.com/larianstudios/status/2076633525164355679?s=20 So far, Gerard Way hasn't acknowledged the response from Larian, but given that it's one of the few games that received a rare 10/10 score in GameSpot's review, we'd wager that he should probably find the time to get acquainted with Astarion and co.
Title: Every Upcoming Superhero Game To Look Out For In 2026 And Beyond Date: Tue, 20 Jan 2026 16:18:00 +0000 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/every-upcoming-superhero-game-to-look-out-for-in-2024-and-beyond/2900-5051/ Superhero games make for some of the best interactive entertainment around, as they provide the ideal form of escapism: all of the great power, and none of the great responsibility to use it wisely. The last couple of years have seen some terrific entries in this genre, from Eidos Interactive’s Guardians of the Galaxy to Insomniac's successful reimagining of Spider-Man, and last year's sleeper hit, Dispatch. Several games based on characters from Marvel, DC, and other comic book publishers are in development at several studios--from Iron Man to Black Panther-- and here's a closer look at the projects headed to PC and console in the near-future. Two games we've sadly removed from the list are Monolith's Wonder Woman and Cliffhanger's Black Panther, as both games were canceled and their studios have been closed. For a broader sense of what's on the way, check out our full 2026 video game release date schedule. Marvel's Blade (Arkane Lyon) Blade's no stranger to video games--the Wesley Snipes incarnation had two movie tie-in games and he's appeared in various other big Marvel games over the years. But the idea of a new solo title with Deathloop studio Arkane Lyon leading the way sounds like a match made in heaven. This time, Blade's adventure takes him to the streets of Paris, a city under siege by vampires and in dire need of the Daywalker's lethal talents for dealing with the undead pain-in-the-neck menace. While it's still early in development, Arkane has described this project as a narrative-driven third-person action game and has shared some concept art for the game. Recently, there have been fears that Marvel's Blade might be facing cancellation, following sweeping cuts at Xbox. Since it's based in France, Arkane Lyon has now entered a period of "required consultation" with its local works council to discuss "potential" strategic options, which could see a new buyer found for the Deathloop studio. There's also the potential for Arkane to become an independent studio--a path that Double Fine and Compulsion Games have opted for following their exit from Xbox--but it's unclear what the future holds in store for Marvel's Blade. According to recent reports, the Marvel game was over-budget and had been delayed internally to late 2027. Advertisement Marvel's Iron Man (EA Motive) Not much is known about EA's take on everybody's favorite genius billionaire playboy philanthropist Iron Man, as the game is still early in pre-production, but EA Motive has said that it wants to get this project right. The Dead Space studio has a legion of Iron Man fans to consult on this project, hiring is ramping up, and the game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5. Advertisement Marvel's Wolverine (Insomniac) Release date: September 15, 2026 After three games spent spinning webs, dealing with pesky symbiotes, and suffering regular insults from J. Jonah Jameson, Insomniac's next project is focused on Canada's finest export, Wolverine. After years of radio silence, the studio showed off its Wolverine game in all its gory glory, revealing a brutal exploration of the character and a September 15, 2026, release date. In the months leading up to its release, Insomniac has shown off plenty more of the game in action, and yes, it is an incredibly violent game. Set in a world where the X-Men don't exist yet--but a globe-trotting group of mercenary mutants known as Team X is in action--Marvel's Wolverine looks like it'll have plenty of Easter eggs and classic costumes to unlock when Logan pops his adamantium claws out.    Advertisement Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra (Skydance Media) The next game from Uncharted director Amy Hennig and Skydance Media, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will feature more than just Wakanda's defender and the first Avenger in action. The debut trailer teased Gabriel Jones, a US soldier, and Nanali, the founder of the Wakandan Spy Network, as two more playable characters in the game's ensemble cast. Gameplay has yet to be revealed, but Skydance Media did showcase some of the game's very impressive visuals during the State of Unreal presentation at the Game Developers Conference. While Captain America is still a rookie star-spangled hero, this incarnation of Black Panther is Wakandan King Azzuri, T'Challa's grandfather, and the forces of Hydra are sweeping across Europe. The storyline will draw inspiration from the 2010 "Flags of Our Fathers" comic book arc, and Hennig added that the game is being structured somewhat similarly to a "binge-able serialized adventure" for fans to enjoy. What's taking so long for the game to see the light of day? According to Shawn Kittelsen, a senior executive at the newly formed Paramount Games Studio, the game's small team and producer Amy Hennig's push for quality are factors in its lengthy development, but Paramount wants to support a team that's focused on delivering a high-quality experience. Advertisement Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls (Arc System Works) In what might be the most surprising team-up of the year, the next brawler featuring Earth's mightiest mortals will see Marvel team up with Guilty Gear developer Arc System Works. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls features fresh redesigns of characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain America, along with an exciting 4v4 battle setup. It'll be out in 2026. The rest of the game's launch roster has also been revealed, and yes, Deadpool is still a scene-stealing character who dares to use moves from other fighting games. Advertisement Mystery Marvel games (EA) Details on the two mystery Marvel games at EA are locked up tighter than Wolverine's liquor cabinet when he's out of town, but EA has confirmed that one of them will be an original story-driven game set in the Marvel universe, just like its Iron Man project. Which characters will we eventually see revealed? Modern Marvel games typically focus on their biggest blockbuster icons, and it doesn't look like the Hulk, Captain Marvel, or Ant-Man are up to anything right now. Who knows? It might be time to walk on the print side of that universe with Marvel's Daily Bugle Simulator. Advertisement The Wolf Among Us 2 (Telltale Games) While it's not a capes-and-tights adventure like the other entries above, The Wolf Among Us 2 still has its origins in comic books. Originally announced in 2017, The Wolf Among Us 2 has had a long--and reportedly troubled--development cycle, enduring multiple delays and the closure of the original Telltale Games. The current incarnation of Telltale Games confirmed that development on The Wolf Among Us 2 is still ongoing, following rumors that the game was at risk of being shelved due to financial difficulties and internal pressure. At Summer Game Fest, The Wolf Among Us 2 finally got a fresh reveal, and so far, it's looking pretty good. The game is now running in Unreal Engine 5, with its art direction aiming to capture the Telltale Games vibe while also modernizing it. Exploration sections have been expanded on to include full 360-degree camera control, while various other gameplay mechanics are all designed to make you feel like a hard-boiled detective. It doesn't have an exact date yet, but the game is currently on track to be released in 2027 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Advertisement The Dark Knight rises once again? After releasing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League to lukewarm reviews and poor sales, UK-based developer Rocksteady Studios is rumored to be returning to Batman for its next project. A recent report claimed that the studio is working on a single-player Batman game, but it's "years away" from seeing the light of day. With Netflix also preparing to purchase Warner Bros.--and by association, all of the Warner Bros. Interactive game studios--it'll be interesting to see if the Caped Crusader is being primed for a big comeback. Advertisement
Title: Garfield Craps On Mario Over Upcoming Mario Kart Game Shutdown Date: Sat, 11 Jul 2026 00:23:45 +0000 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/garfield-craps-on-mario-over-upcoming-mario-kart-game-shutdown/ In the kart-racing genre, Mario Kart's reigns supreme. But the social media team behind Garfield Kart: Furious Racing and Garfield Kart 2: All You Can Drift didn't miss a chance to dunk on Nintendo's decision to sunset Mario Kart Tour this fall. On X, the official account for Garfield Kart declared its superiority to Mario Kart because it "will not randomly kill your game license." https://twitter.com/GarfieldKartX/status/2074947859644809275 While the Garfield Kart games are far behind Mario Kart in terms of popularity, the title characters do share a connection on the big screen. Guardians of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt is the voice of Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Movie and its sequel, while also portraying Garfield in the most recent animated film. That's about as close as these two franchises will come to a crossover short of another Smash Bros. sequel that may seek lasagna-craving felines for its roster. Mario Kart Tour will be shut down on September 29, seven years after Nintendo began its push into mobile. Most of Nintendo's other mobile games from that era have also shut down, with a few exceptions including Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Pikmin Bloom. On consoles, Mario Kart World is currently the best-selling game on Switch 2, and it dropped a new update earlier this month. Two additional Knockout Tour routes were included in that update, with at least six more routes slated to be added in future updates.
Title: Pokemon Go Fest 2026: Mega Mewtwo Raids, Zeraora Special Research, Rotating Habitats, And More Date: Sat, 11 Jul 2026 00:21:55 +0000 Link: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/pokemon-go-fest-2026-mega-mewtwo-raids-zeraora-special-research-rotating-habitats-and-more/ Pokemon Go's global Go Fest has arrived, and this year's event is a big one. For the first time in the game's history, all players who log in during the festivities will receive access to a new Special Research that leads to an encounter with the mythical Pokemon Zeraora. That's not all that players can look forward to this weekend. Mewtwo's Mega-Evolved forms are also making their debut, and different wild Pokemon and Raid bosses will appear throughout the weekend as part of the game's rotating habitats. On top of that, the game will offer a variety of bonuses, challenges, and more this weekend. To help get you up to speed, we've rounded up everything you need to know about Pokemon Go Fest 2026 below. The event kicks off each day at 10 AM local time and runs until 7 PM local time. Unlike previous Go Fests, which restricted access to certain content behind a paid ticket, this year's event will be completely free for all players. Anyone who logs in to the game during the event days will receive the Zeraora Special Research and be able to take advantage of the full slate of event bonuses, including increased odds of encountering shiny Pokemon. Mega Mewtwo Raids Making their debut during this year's Go Fest are Mewtwo's two Mega-Evolved forms: Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y. Each will appear as Super Mega Raid bosses throughout both days of the event, making this your first chance to battle them and earn Mewtwo Mega Energy. Like standard Mewtwo, Mega Mewtwo Y is a pure psychic Pokemon, so you can employ the same strategy when challenging one. Mega Mewtwo X, however, is a psychic/fighting type, so it will require a different approach than the other Mewtwo forms. Complete the Research's various tasks and you'll eventually unlock an encounter with Zeraora, making this your only way to get one so far in Pokemon Go. Like other Special Research stories, this questline does not expire, so you can take as long as you need to work your way through the tasks. As mentioned, however, you will need to log in to the game before Pokemon Go Fest ends to secure the Special Research. Rotating Habitats Like previous years, Pokemon Go Fest will feature several virtual "habitats" that will rotate every few hours. Depending upon which habitat is active, different types of Pokemon will spawn in the wild, and a different assortment of legendary and Mega Pokemon will appear in Gyms as Raid bosses. Title: Underrated supernatural battle manga finally gets anime adaptation after 16 years Date: Mon, 13 Jul 2026 10:17:00 GMT Link: https://www.polygon.com/psyren-anime-crunchyroll-release-trailer-16-years/ Most of the time, the success of a manga leads to an anime adaptation being produced and released while the original work is still ongoing. Other times, fans have to wait for 16 long years before seeing their beloved characters come to life on a screen. This was the case for Toshiaki Iwashiro's Psyren, a mystery/supernatural manga that was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from 2007 to 2010. Despite good commercial success, with over 4 million copies sold, the series never received an anime adaptation until one was finally announced in 2025.

From the Steam Summer Sale to GeForce NOW membership discounts, this week’s GFN Thursday delivers double the deals and more ways to get the most value from cloud gaming. Plus, Dark Scrolls joins the growing Devolver lineup, alongside Square Enix’s The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. They lead the charge for six new games joining the GeForce NOW library this week. Steam Dreams Are Made of These Add to cart, not to storage. The Steam Summer Sale is here, bringing discounts across thousands of PC games as one of the year’s biggest opportunities to grow a gaming library. Supported Steam games can be streamed across devices with GeForce NOW, making it easy to buy a game once, keep progress synced and pick up where the gameplay left off on PCs, Macs, handheld devices, phones, TVs and more. In other words, the Steam Summer Sale brings the deals; GeForce NOW adds the flexibility.  As new titles expand collections, storage demands and hardware requirements expand with them. GeForce NOW helps remove those barriers by streaming supported games from powerful GeForce RTX servers in the cloud, allowing members to enjoy today’s biggest games on devices they already own. Since downloads and installs are handled in the cloud, games can be added to the cart without being added to storage. Check out the “Sales & Special Offers” row in the GeForce NOW app to discover the discounts today. The Ultimate Upgrade to Level Up for Less The upgrade every game deserves. The deals don’t stop there. Pair GeForce NOW’s summer sale with the Steam Summer Sale to spend less time waiting on downloads, managing storage or needing pricey hardware upgrades — and more time gaming. Get $70 off a 12-month Ultimate membership or $35 off a 12-month Performance membership and experience GeForce RTX-powered gaming in the cloud across devices. The Ultimate membership unlocks GeForce RTX 4080- and 5080-class performance in the cloud with up to 4K resolution, up to 120 frames per second (fps) and advanced technologies like NVIDIA DLSS, ray tracing and NVIDIA Reflex. On GeForce NOW, Dark Scrolls is ready the moment players are, streaming across devices with no downloads or setup required. It joins a growing lineup of Devolver Digital titles on the service — Cult of the Lamb, Hotline Miami, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, Inscryption, Enter the Gungeon and Ball x Pit — each delivering that distinct mix of style, surprise and controlled chaos, and just a click away with GeForce NOW. A Storybook Across Centuries The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales arrives on GeForce NOW, delivering a charming, narrative-driven adventure filled with mystery and discovery. Find them in the GeForce NOW app by simply searching and filtering by store. GeForce NOW Ambassador and cloud gaming creator Anytime Anywhere Gaming recently showcased Dead as Disco — a PC title without a native mobile version — running on an iPhone through the cloud. As he put it: “One of the coolest benefits of GeForce NOW is I can take the same copy of the game I own on Steam and carry it to my iPhone … it’s super awesome being able to play a game on a multitude of devices without having to buy it again.” That flexibility extends beyond mobile. One GeForce NOW member on Reddit shared being “blown away” by the experience of playing on Mac through the cloud, highlighting how GeForce RTX-powered gaming can be enjoyed across devices, no upgrades required. PC gamers are driven by one thing: the love of the game. But getting there can be complicated — setups take space, hardware takes planning and downloads take time. GeForce NOW removes the barriers and delivers instant access to games, high-performance GeForce RTX power in the cloud and the ability to play across nearly any device — all with one membership. Regular upgrades and new features continue to expand the experience, building the value of that membership over time.  Plus, GeForce NOW is always delivering new games — including epic adventures across Tyria. Guild Wars 3 is coming to GeForce NOW, bringing its next-generation massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) experience to the cloud at launch. While awaiting its arrival, the journey begins today with Guild Wars 2 and Guild Wars Reforged, along with limited-time exclusive rewards. Instantly Elevate Every Device PC gaming demands more from players than ever. Bigger game files and more frequent updates can turn the urge to play into a long list of to-dos. GeForce NOW streamlines that experience. Installs, patches and updates are handled in the cloud, so games are ready to launch in just a click. Time that would’ve been spent waiting on progress bars can go back into playtime, making it easier to fit gaming into quick breaks on busy days. High-performance NVIDIA GPUs in the cloud means access to always-ready GeForce RTX performance without having to purchase new hardware. Members can tap into powerful servers that meet rising game requirements and keep pace with today’s games. And memberships continue to improve with platform upgrades — like the free Ultimate upgrade to the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture — extending their value, as well as the life of gamers’ devices, over time. All of the gaming. Laptops, phones, tablets and TVs — devices most gamers have at home and already use for school, work and everyday life — can all act as gaming screens. Streaming means not having to worry about hard drive space for installs and updates, or needing the latest devices.  Level up playing on Linux. These benefits are reinforced by continuous quality-of-life improvements like smoother sign-ins, new platforms — like Linux and Amazon Fire TV — and refinements that make it faster and easier to get into a gaming session. Together, these benefits make GeForce NOW the easiest way to enjoy PC gaming both instantly and over time, while keeping the focus on what matters most to gamers: getting into the game. The Biggest Gaming Upgrade, the Best Price of the Year Sale-ing into summer with huge savings. For a limited time this summer, GeForce NOW memberships are available at some of the year’s best pricing — with major savings on 12-month memberships: $35 off a 12-month Performance membership $70 off a 12-month Ultimate membership The Performance membership delivers smooth, high-quality cloud gaming across devices, with streaming up to 1080p at 60 frames per second (fps) and access to RTX-powered servers for supported games. These limited-time discounts won’t last long — beat the heat and jump into GeForce NOW.  A New Legend Rises One of the best things about the cloud is that every week, new games become available to stream — including new AAA games at launch and the latest content and rewards.  The land of Orr awaits. Guild Wars 3 marks the next adventure in Tyria — an action-adventure MMORPG where fluid combat, deep character building and a living world of magic and mystery shape every journey. Alliances are forged, spirits awaken and every step forward leaves a lasting mark on an untamed frontier. Be among the first to raise the banner. Gamers can add Guild Wars 3 to their wishlist today and stay up to date on every reveal as it marches toward launch. While the next chapter in Tyria prepares to unfold, its legacy is ready to be played today. Return to adventure in Guild Wars 2 and Guild Wars Reforged, and unlock exclusive in-game rewards for a limited time — available for GeForce NOW Premium members today through Saturday, July 11, and free to all members beginning Friday, June 12. Be on the lookout for an email with codes to redeem.  In Guild Wars 2, the “Masterpiece Emote Tome” turns every victory into a moment of flair — a chef’s kiss to triumph. Start playing by applying the code through an ArenaNet account or during account creation, then log in to access the emote. In Guild Wars Reforged, the “Vision of Lyssa” costume brings elegance and illusion to life and includes an account upgrade. Inspired by the twin goddess, this striking ensemble can be worn over any armor. Redeem by adding the code in game, then visit a Costume Maker NPC to claim the reward. But Wait, There’s More Duet Night Abyss from Hero Games makes a splash on GeForce NOW, plunging players into a submerged world where survival is shared. Control a synchronized duo tethered by fragile oxygen lines, navigate glowing reefs, drowned ruins and shadowy chasms where every move demands trust and timing. The game’s moody visuals and tense, cooperative focus give each dive the feel of a playable deep-sea thriller. GeForce NOW is kicking off a new Community Corner for the summer, spotlighting stories and creations from members across the globe. This week, a community story takes the spotlight as a Linux gamer on Reddit shares how GFN has helped them with accessibility gaming, saving storage space on massive titles and minimizing upgrades. Title: NVIDIA, KRAFTON, NC and Reigning ‘League of Legends’ Champions T1 Celebrate RTX Spark at Korea’s PC Bangs Date: Sun, 07 Jun 2026 07:00:15 +0000 Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/krafton-nc-t1-korea-gaming-pc-bang-rtx-spark/ At GTC Taipei at COMPUTEX last week, NVIDIA unveiled RTX Spark, the superchip that reinvents Windows PCs for the era of personal AI agents. On the heels of this announcement, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang headed to South Korea, where he introduced RTX Spark to the nation’s passionate gaming community. Leading game developers — including Korea’s KRAFTON and NC — are already working to bring their titles to RTX Spark-powered systems.  Designed for local AI, creating and gaming, RTX Spark brings together 30 years of NVIDIA innovation to slim Windows laptops with all-day battery life and small, ultraefficient desktop PCs.  With the superchip, gamers can play AAA games at 1440p resolution and over 100 frames per second with NVIDIA ray tracing, DLSS and Reflex technologies. In addition, RTX Spark supports all NVIDIA RTX technologies, including the recently announced DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, which features a second-generation transformer model for realistic image quality.  RTX Spark Ignites Korea’s Gaming Community Korea has played a major role in spearheading esports and driving the boom in PC bangs, or internet and gaming cafes. With longstanding collaborations rooted in the country, NVIDIA in October celebrated 25 years of GeForce in Korea with a free festival for gamers, highlighting the rich gaming ecosystem that has been built over decades.    On Friday, Huang headed to T1 Base Camp — a PC bang owned by T1, one of Korea’s top esports teams. There, he met with T1’s reigning League of Legends World Champion team, including six-time World Champion Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok to unveil RTX Spark.  NVIDIA and Riot Games — developer of League of Legends — are collaborating to bring the title as well as VALORANT to RTX Spark, expanding gamers’ access to high-performance gaming on slim laptops.  To mark the occasion, T1 Base Camp attendees had the chance to win RTX Spark laptops, League of Legends and T1 merch signed by Huang and Faker, as well as GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs.  Surprising PC-Bang Gamers  Later, Huang headed to Seoul’s Gangnam district, where he surprised PC-bang gamers with a first look at RTX Spark with KRAFTON and NC.  At the first stop, Optimum Zone PC, Huang and KRAFTON Chairman Byung-gyu Chang showcased PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and Subnautica 2 on RTX Spark to a captivated crowd of gamers.  Gamers then got the surprise chance to play with the unreleased PUBG Ally, a co-playable character built with NVIDIA ACE technologies on RTX Spark laptops. PUBG Ally resulted from AI research and development at KRAFTON and NVIDIA, part of an initiative to create next-generation game characters that act like teammates and enable more meaningful, immersive engagements with players. Next, Huang stopped at another PC bang, Portal PC, where he showcased NC’s CINDER CITY and AION 2 on RTX Spark, with support from Taekjin Kim, co-CEO of NC.  NC and NVIDIA began working together in the early 2000s on the Lineage franchise and have since collaborated to integrate RTX technology into many of NC’s flagship games, including Lineage 2, AION, Blade & Soul, AION 2 and CINDER CITY.  Gamers at Portal PC were given the chance to play a demo of NC’s highly anticipated open-world massively multiplayer online tactical shooter CINDER CITY on GeForce RTX-powered PCs.   CINDER CITY will support the DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and Super Resolution features at launch. Plus, gamers will be able to experience the title on slim RTX Spark laptops and compact desktops when the game is released later this year.  In addition to KRAFTON, NC, and Riot Games, 100+ Windows software providers and game developers are embracing RTX Spark. These partners include NetEase, Remedy Entertainment and XBOX.  Learn more about RTX Spark and its launch partners.

Title: The Blood of Dawnwalker: unique time-driven quest system and player choice detailed Date: Tue, 07 Jul 2026 16:01:28 +0000 Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/07/07/the-blood-of-dawnwalker-unique-time-driven-quest-system-and-player-choice-detailed/ The world has gotten very small for you and your family, Coen. It was never a grand world to begin with, tied as you all were to your farm in the tiny village of Laslea, but with the arrival of the plague, your sister’s illness, and then the vampires, it has shrunk even further. When you wake up, it’s the day of the Blood Mass for Laslea. Tonight, the vampires, the vrakhiri, will arrive to collect the oblation of their livestock. Every adult in the village must attend and give of their blood to sustain their rulers, Brencis and his clique. It is known. It is normal. Shockingly, it’s becoming more normal every day as the hope of change or salvation withers among the people of Vale Sangora. Not everyone is cut out for this new normal. Your mother is barely able to hold herself upright under the weight of her fear. Your father, pulled in two directions by his family and his past, has become grim and hard. Your siblings are struggling to understand everything happening around them. And you, Coen, a young man in your prime, are stuck staring down a long future of being bled every fortnight, little hope for anything other than the life of cattle. Is it any wonder some say it’s the end of the world? And yet, the daily concerns of life must go on. Your mother is in no condition to attend the Blood Mass tonight and if she is not present, your family and maybe the entire village will suffer. The gates are guarded by Knyaz Brencis’s men – no one will be permitted to leave until the offering is extracted. Between dawn and sunset, the day is divided into 8 parts. You must use that time to find a solution. So, you wander the sunny dirt paths of Laslea. Somehow, in spite of the clamp of the vrakhiri around your neck, even in this tiny village, the possibilities are endless. You could decide to go directly to Anca, the local herbalist, and ask for medicine for your mother and wind up spending most of the day reading Latin, soaking up every moment you can in her presence. You could punch one of the Uriash, gigantic ram-like warriors occupying the village at Brencis’ command in an attempt to burst the boils of rage festering in your heart. You could go looking for an escaped pig or a lost neighbor, you could save the weaver by searching for a stolen tapestry commissioned by the vrakhiri, you could beat an upstart boy for insulting you, you could even uncover the start of a revolution against the vampires… but you may not be able to do it all. You see, as long as you are wandering, watching, listening, never intervening, the sun will stay high in the sky. The Blood Mass will not arrive. The day will never turn to night. To move time forward, you will have to choose. So you wander. You speak to an old woman weeping by an unearthed grave. You confront the man who lurks by the river. You ask your sister about the dark dreams that jolt you awake at night. You practice your sword skills on the animals in the woods. And, in your own time, you choose how your day unfolds. Yet it is quickly made clear to you that some choices are out of your hands. There is no combination of actions and words at Coen’s disposal that can stop the Blood Mass once the sun sets. Some events have their own tides that cannot be resisted. Everyone has their own free will and no matter how earnestly you try, you can’t control the power of grief, of fear, of revenge. The Blood Mass goes poorly. Decisions are made by you and your family that cannot be taken back, and deep in the night, you wake up in the bowels of Laslea’s silver mine with a strange new hunger. You are no longer fully human. The wrath of the vrakhiri at the defiance of Laslea has chosen you as its scion. Brencis picked you to turn into one of his own, a familiar face to destroy your friends and neighbors as one more twist of the knife. The surviving villagers, including your father, mother, and siblings, will be made a sacrifice to his coronation in 30 days. Your family has been crammed into the darkness of a cell, your existence squeezed down into the palm of Brencis’ hand. And yet. As the village burns, as the sun rises, you are given a new choice. All is not lost. The light of the sun does not burn you, sear your flesh. Not even the vrakhiri could control this. In that moment, the world opens up, the shackles fall away. For you now have all the power and ferocity of a vampire, but all the feelings and connections of a human. You have something denied to you for so long: the ability to choose. As you step out of the remains of your home, your village, the whole of Vale Sangora lays before you. There is a sword at your side. Your arm still aches from the magic runes Anca carved into your skin. The taste of copper lingers in the back of your throat. You realize that, with enough blood and rage, you could rip this valley from the vrakhiri’s claws and feast upon its riches yourself. You could join the revolution, save your family and dispose of the vrakhiri. You could wash your hands of the entire affair and pursue whatever pleasures the next moment offers you. You are a unique thing, Dawnwalker, and no one will ever write a future quite like yours. A new day is beginning; how will you spend it? The Blood of Dawnwalker rises on PlayStation 5 this September 3, 2026.

Title: Obsidian still have "the same DNA" that went into New Vegas and KOTOR 2, The Outer Worlds 2 director insists, following chatter around layoffs Date: Mon, 13 Jul 2026 12:16:11 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/obsidian-still-have-the-same-dna-that-went-into-new-vegas-and-kotor-2-the-outer-worlds-2-director-insists-following-chatter-around-layoffs Last week, Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2 developers Obsidian lost around quarter of their staff to Microsoft's mass layoffs. The studio were subsequently reported to be pivoting to start work on a new Fallout game helmed by New Vegas director Josh Sawyer, with a sequel to Avowed all but canned in the process. Cue, naturally, people like me discussing what sort of game the shift towards a new Fallout all these years after New Vegas could result in, and also some voices declaring that Obsidian just aren't as good as they used to be. Outer Worlds 2 director Brandon Adler, naturally, disagrees with the latter group of loudmouths. Read more
Title: This week in PC games: vert-ramping trains, a retold murder mystery, and Cthulhu’s new gig as an AI Director Date: Mon, 13 Jul 2026 11:39:30 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/this-week-in-pc-games-vert-ramping-trains-a-retold-murder-mystery-and-cthulhus-new-gig-as-an-ai-director Merry Monday, readers. Edwin’s been struck down by a post-TennoCon lurgy, and we were only too happy to allow him some rest, provided he file his Soulframe and Warframe: Tau stories before collapsing into a feverish heap. We even agreed to feed the Maw in his absence, albeit without reaching a similar accord on responsibility for the litter tray. Thus: new PC games this week. Here are some of them. Read more
Title: Baldur's Gate 3's Astarion gets an extra ending cutscene, made by a modder keen not to finish up on a rather awkward note Date: Mon, 13 Jul 2026 10:57:37 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/baldurs-gate-3s-astarion-gets-an-extra-ending-cutscene-made-by-a-modder-keen-not-to-finish-up-on-a-rather-awkward-note Warning: Spoilers for Baldur's Gate 3 lie ahead. Shagging Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3 might say various things about your taste in blokes, but it's understandably the way a lot of folks go. Not everyone's got the nerve to admit that they want to cast some spells with Gale's other wand. Anyway, a veteran BG3 modder's now come to the aid of those who reckon one of the white-haired fang lad's endings concludes a bit too abruptly for their liking, and without enough final hugs. Title: "An oversight we deeply regret": Games Done Quick cancel SNK-sponsored stream following backlash over studio's Saudi Arabian ownership Date: Mon, 13 Jul 2026 09:20:38 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/an-oversight-we-deeply-regret-games-done-quick-cancel-snk-sponsored-stream-following-backlash-over-studios-saudi-arabian-ownership Games Done Quick, the speedrunning organisation behind events like Games Done Queer and the yearly Summer Games Done Quick, have cancelled a stream sponsored by Metal Slug developers SNK following backlash to the fighting game studio being majority owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. Games Done Quick apologised for the "oversight", and wrote that they "failed to conduct the level of review" they should have when deciding whether to accept the sponsorship deal. Read more
Title: The Sunday Papers Date: Sun, 12 Jul 2026 09:00:00 +0000 Link: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/the-sunday-papers-818 Sundays are for waking up before the sun and getting a bike ride in before the tarmac gets hot enough to cook an egg. Any sensible person would skip the bike ride altogether, but I, a nonsensical person, have agreed to a ride across the country at the end of the month and I'm currently not able to manage 40 miles a day, let alone a hundred. So, I have to get them gains. Still, should I get back home unsizzled by this heatwave sun, I can celebrate with a tarmac-fried egg and lazy perusal of some of this week's best gaming (and non-gaming) reads. Read more
