Title: Resident Evil Requiem Endings Explained - How To Get All Endings
Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2026 07:50:00 -0800
Link: https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/resident-evil-requiem-endings-hope-destruction-elpis/2900-7533/
Well, well, well, lookie here. You're probably curious about all the endings in Resident Evil Requiem, aren't you? Leon and Grace's arduous trek has been fraught with danger and, finally, that journey comes to a climactic conclusion. Naturally, this guide has all the details that you want and all the holy moly spoilers to boot.Note: For everything else about the newest entry in Capcom's long-running survival horror series, you can head over to our Resident Evil Requiem guides hub. What does the creator desire? There are several points of no return in the campaign. The last one occurs as Leon is waiting for the elevator in the ARK facility's Bioweapon Repository/B4 Staff Room. After that segment, you regain control of Grace, who has to go to the central chamber in the ARK.In the central chamber, a question will be presented to you: What does the creator desire?Destroy ElpisRelease ElpisUpon picking an option, you're asked if you're 100% certain of your decision. So, let's see just what would happen in these Resident Evil Requiem endings, eh? Destruction ending: What happens if you destroy Elpis?Choosing to destroy Elpis is actually the bad ending in Resident Evil Requiem:Leon tries to fight "Wesker wannabe" Zeno, only to get overpowered, as Zeno continues to dodge bullets.Leon, already succumbing to the effects of the Raccoon City Syndrome virus, remains helpless.Grace then looks on in shock as Zeno shoots Leon in the head, killing him instantly.Grace manages to escape as the ARK facility collapses. However, she's distraught by the turn of events.Note: Since this is the bad ending, be on the lookout for a prompt once you're back in the main menu after the end credits. You'll be asked if you want to reload a system-generated autosave at the moment when Grace has to make a decision about Elpis. This is a do-over so you can still see a different outcome. Hope ending: What happens if you release Elpis?Choosing to release Elpis in Resident Evil Requiem leads to the good ending. As you progress through the campaign, you learn that Elpis is an antivirus, a cure to all the ills brought about by Umbrella and other corporations that manufacture bioweapons.Grace administers the cure to Leon, who then regains his strength.Zeno is incensed by your decision. Victor Gideon then arrives, stating that this cure will continue to wreak havoc.Victor then sprouts tentacle arms. He calls Zeno a cheap imitation, before slicing off his head. This leads to a final boss battle: Leon vs. Victor. Hope ending: The Victor/Nemesis boss battleWe've got more details for you in our Resident Evil Requiem boss guide. That said, Victor does turn into a Nemesis variant:His tentacle arms during the first phase of the bout are similar to the ones seen in Nemesis' humanoid/Tyrant form.In the second phase, Victor turns into a monstrosity akin to Nemesis' final form. Yep, the battle even includes the "shoot the glowing pustules" mechanic from Resident Evil 3.Leon finishes off Victor by blasting its core with the Requiem, causing the creature to dissipate into a gooey mess. Hope ending: Cutscenes and conclusionsAfter the fight, you get to watch more cutscenes:Leon stays with Grace as the ARK facility slowly shuts down. Despairing that they won't be able to escape, they're suddenly surprised by the arrival of BSAA agents of the Wolf Hound Squad. Leon is then told that Commander Redfield is looking for him.Grace has a cup of coffee while sitting in a helicopter. She and Leon have a short chat.Sherry Birkin, who also seems to be infected by Raccoon City Syndrome, smiles. It's not just because Leon survived. It's the fact that Elpis can be used as a cure.News reports mention that a bioweapons lab--i.e. ARK--has been discovered deep below Raccoon City. It's noted that the US president denies involvement, but we all know the truth based on documents in terminals and other files. Hope ending: Grace and EmilyA cutscene shows that a young girl has been "rescued from a bio-terror front in Rhodes Hill." We then see Emily, who's unconscious but alive, as the cocoon that encased her in her monster form slowly unravels.Later, after the end credits, we see that Grace is happy at her job back in the FBI. There are two photos on her desk: One with her mom, and another with Emily. It looks like she's now Emily's guardian.Note 1: The Hope ending in Resident Evil Requiem fully fleshes out the story. It also unlocks Grace's Report, which you can access in the Bonus Content menu. This is a summary of key events in the series, with a few retcons given what had transpired in Requiem.Note 2: We've also learned that, if you choose to "release Elpis," you might not receive a prompt to reload an earlier autosave. If you want to see the "destroy Elpis" ending, you should (a) keep a backup save before Leon rides the elevator or (b) avoid overwriting the autosave when Grace has to make a decision in the central chamber. Zeno and The ConnectionsAfter Grace's scene in the FBI office, we see another segment where mercenaries arrive at the depths of the Crater/ARK. One radios in and says that all the BSAA operatives have been eliminated. This individual also states that they've acquired their target. It's not certain as to what this might be. Perhaps it's a fragment of Victor/Nemesis or Zeno's magical shades?Speaking of Zeno, this fella does resemble Wesker uncannily, right down to his bullet-dodging skills. Victor also considers him just a cheap imitation of the original. What we do know is that Zeno has been hand-picked by The Connections, a mysterious criminal organization first revealed in Resident Evil 7. The group has orchestrated key events, often behind the scenes. Some of these are mentioned in previous games in the series, and a select few tidbits are noted by Grace in her report:Initially, it's assumed that Brandon Bailey, the protege of Umbrella co-founder James Marcus, founded The Connections. However, he might just be a "cog in the wheel."The Connections has had deep roots in the criminal underworld since before the 1980s.The thermobaric missile strike in Raccoon City wasn't meant to contain the spread of the outbreak. Rather, it was meant to disrupt the relationship between the US government and Umbrella, which would then shift the blame for the corporation's illegal activities onto Oswell Spencer. In short, The Connections was the group that lobbied for the missile strike. This chain of events allowed the organization to seize Umbrella's assets, including the ARK facility. In Resident Evil 6, then-president Adam Benford was said to have known of the ties between the government and Umbrella. In Grace's report in Requiem, she surmises that Benford knew about The Connections' involvement. Zeno also remarks that Benford had to be assassinated to get him out of the way. Oswell Spencer: Redemption, Retcon, and Grace's originsGrace's report also admits that Oswell Spencer, the Umbrella co-founder who engineered the company's illicit activities into viral research, eugenics, and various experiments, shares the blame for numerous atrocities that have happened throughout the years. Veteran players will also remember how Albert Wesker killed Spencer back in Resident Evil 5, after the latter's speech: "I was to become a god, creating a new world with an advanced race of human beings."That said, events in Resident Evil Requiem show Spencer in an entirely new light:We now know that The Connections and the US government orchestrated his downfall, making him a scapegoat for all the devastation caused by Umbrella.Wesker presented evidence against Spencer during his trial.Wesker was linked to Tricell, which had strong ties to The Connections. Grace surmises that it's highly likely that there was pressure from the government and The Connections during Spencer's trial. It seems that Spencer also actively sought redemption during his final years:We know that Spencer/Umbrella conducted experiments on children in the Orphanage. However, we also know that Alyssa Ashcroft had interviewed Spencer when the latter was already infirm. It was during this moment that Spencer entrusted a baby--Grace--to Alyssa Ashcroft.Grace was just a normal baby, completely unaltered by Spencer or any of his experiments. She was a foundling and was considered by Spencer to be his "hope." (Elpis is the Greek word for "hope," after all.)Spencer developed Elpis as a powerful antigen that can render viral weapons inert.Perhaps Spencer truly wanted to do some good toward the end of his life? Then again, perhaps Elpis is meant to create more chaos among corporations that develop bioweapons and the governments that utilize them? Elpis might be Spencer's way of enacting vengeance from beyond the grave, given that upstart companies, rival organizations, and political forces plotted his downfall. Then, reload your save and craft something else. More combat: GraceThese are the Resident Evil Requiem challenges that you can do when Grace faces specific enemies:Order Up - Defeat the Chef in the Care Center in the main story.Deadly Duet - Defeat the two Singers in the main story.Grace and Goliath - Defeat the Chunk as Grace.Bring Out the Big Guns - Stun the Girl with the Requiem.Note 1: For "Order Up," you can just sneak up on the Chef zombie and blow him up with a Hemolytic Injector. This also nets you the Pantry Key.Note 2: For "Grace and Goliath," you need to kill Chunk before Grace jumps down the pit that leads to the Care Center Basement. Chunk will drop the Eye Spy Charm the first time you kill it. If you reload an earlier save, the charm should still appear in your item box. Taking out Chunk again causes it to drop several Antique Coins. More combat: LeonYou've got more combat-related tasks as Leon:Internal Dispute - Make a zombie attack another zombie in the hospital ward.Road Rage - Stop one of Victor’s attacks on the highway. Not Today, Buds - Defeat all Plant 43 seedlings.Cat Got Your Tongue - Cut off a Licker's tongue with your Hatchet.Note 1: For "Road Rage," be on the lookout for a small arrow-shaped icon that appears above Victor during the chase sequence. More combat: Both charactersThese are general combat tasks for both characters:Bang for Your Buck - Defeat at least three enemies with a single Requiem shot.Seasoned Pro - Defeat 300 enemies.Note: For "Bang for Your Buck," Leon should have opportunities to blast several infected in the streets of Rhodes Hill early in the game. Collectibles-relatedThese Resident Evil Requiem challenges are related to collectibles, containers, and loot:The Hunt Begins - Destroy one Mr. Raccoon memoriam. You Little Rascal - Destroy all 25 Mr. Raccoon memoriams. No Safe Is Safe - Open all five safes in the main story.Crate Expectations - Open all four BSAA Containers.Case Closed - Read all 75 files in the main story.Note: We discuss these locations in detail in our articles about Mr. Raccoon collectibles, file/document locations, safe combinations, and BSAA Containers. Advanced challengesThese challenges require a bit more effort. They reward a ridiculous amount of CP:Remarkable Agent - Complete the main story on Insanity difficulty; rewards 40,000 CP.Credit Where Credit Is Due - Earn 200,000 credits; rewards 3,000 CP.Bloodlust - Collect 5,000 microsamples of Infected Blood with the Blood Collector; rewards 10,000 CP.Never Touch the Stuff - Complete the main story without using Green Herbs or Med Injectors; rewards 35,000 CP.Minimalist - Complete the main story without Grace using the Blood Collector; rewards 35,000 CP.Speed Demon - Complete the main story by releasing Elpis within four hours; rewards 20,000 CP.The Final Puzzle - Let the sweet pair hear the voice; rewards 20,000 CP.Note 1: Regarding "Credit Where Credit Is Due," we actually received 10,000 credits near the end of the campaign as Leon. It may have come from the Bioweapon Repository encounter against several Lickers and zombie husks. We recommend returning to the supply box in the B4 Staff Room to obtain your credit rewards, before riding the elevator.Note 2: We've got a few tips for those who want to try Insanity Mode. Can you complete multiple advanced challenges in one playthrough? It's certainly possible to complete several advanced challenges in Resident Evil Requiem, including those with requirements that might seem at odds with each other at first glance. This goes back to what we mentioned about challenge tallies being tracked for your account, even if you reload your save or try a new playthrough.Let's say you want to complete "Credit Where Credit Is Due," "Bloodlust," "Never Touch the Stuff," "Minimalist," and "Speed Demon," all in a single playthrough:Choose Casual difficulty for an easier run and breeze through the campaign. Hopefully, you remember where all the key items are located. At certain points of no return, keep a handy manual save. Let's use the Care Center as an example, right before you exit the Central Door. Maybe you've spent exactly one hour already since you started the campaign. If you're (a) doing a speedrun and/or (b) you don't want to collect Infected Blood, then you probably ran past a bunch of zombies. Now, it's time to kill dozens of undead, all while gathering more Infected Blood in the vicinity. Don't forget to heal up when you can, too.Oops! It looks like you spent so much time that your playthrough is now at two hours.Go ahead and reload your backup save: Check the "Speed Demon" tally - The time you spent playing is the same as before--i.e. one hour.Check the "Bloodlust" tally - It has increased because you collected more Infected Blood before you reloaded.Check the "Minimalist" and "Never Touched the Stuff" tallies - It's as though you never used a restorative item or gathered Infected Blood at all.Continue the campaign and pick the "Hope/release Elpis" ending during the finale. Assuming you cleared the game in under four hours, you'll complete the "Speed Demon" challenge, too. That does it for our Resident Evil Requiem challenges guide. We hope these tips help you as you get set for your first playthrough or subsequent runs. Instead, the new intro opened in pitch-black, revealing a shirtless Tony Stark covered in shadow, deep in his laboratory. A machine hands him a blacksmith’s hammer, then Tony pounds away on an anvil as images of his many Iron Man armors flash onto the walls. He grabs a giant chain and pours molten metal into a mold to form his new armor and then refines his work with a bit of welding before the finished pieces fly onto him as he suits up. Finally, Tony bursts out of the laboratory and into the night sky. A new, industrial-sounding theme song accompanies the dark visuals as a singer chants four words: “I am Iron Man.”

The gap between Critical Role’s beginnings as a community-led platform created by nerdy voice actors playing Dungeons & Dragons and its present as a global multimedia company continues to grow. Title: All About the Games: Play Over 4,500 Titles With GeForce NOW
Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2026 14:00:35 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-battlefield-season-2/
The GeForce NOW anniversary celebration keeps on rolling, and this week is all about the games that make it possible. With more than 4,500 titles supported in the cloud — plus 12 new games this week — there’s always something new to stream, share and discover.
The #6YearsofGFN fun continues with a community giveaway hosted on the GeForce NOW Reddit. Share in-game screenshots and memes to celebrate the anniversary for a chance to win prizes such as an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, a Thrustmaster HOTAS ONE flight stick and more — through Friday, Feb. 20.
Gamers can also join the GeForce NOW community Discord to join in on more celebrations and events.
A Library Built for Every PC Gamer
GeForce NOW features an ever-growing library of over 4,500 titles that are ready to stream in seconds. From cozy indies and competitive shooters to sprawling role-playing games and strategy epics, the collection has something for everyone.
The GeForce NOW library spans popular stores like Steam, Xbox — including supported PC Game Pass titles — Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect and GOG.com, bringing together free-to-play hits and paid blockbusters in one place. Install-to-Play further expands access by letting members install Steam games opted in for cloud gaming, doubling the number of titles that can be launched through the service.
The GeForce NOW app has curated rows that highlight new releases, RTX-enhanced titles or popular free-to-play picks, while tags make deals and downloadable content easier to spot. Smart library syncing connects supported games directly into the cloud catalog, enabling instant access without downloads or hardware worries. Ultimate members get priority entry with powerful servers to jump into the action even faster.
Fight the Fog of War
Every move matters.
Battlefield 6 erupts into its second season, “Extreme Measures,” taking the fight to contaminated terrain and distorted frontlines. A massive new map, fresh arsenal and agile air support redefine large-scale warfare — pushing squads to adapt and survive across shifting contamination zones and fog-laced choke points.
Drop into “Contaminated,” a sprawling German mountainside airbase where the psychoactive VL‑7 smoke twists visibility, strategy and players’ senses. Mask up and press through as helicopters sweep low over objectives for high-risk insertions and surgical strikes. Dynamic cover and ever‑evolving hazards keep combat unpredictable, turning every push into a brutal test of precision and squad grit.
On GeForce NOW, the battle starts instantly — no waiting for patches or worrying about download space. Jump straight into the latest content, fully loaded and always in sync, for nonstop action anywhere.
Game On!
Heist now, sneak later.
Styx: Blades of Greed from publisher Nacon lands with a sharp tongue and an even sharper blade. Styx is back to doing what he does best: slipping through shadows, looting anything that isn’t nailed down and talking trash the whole way through. Tight stealth, devious tools and a world powered by precious Quartz make every heist feel like a risky, rewarding score — perfect for anyone who prefers a dagger in the dark over a sword in the spotlight.
In addition, members can look for the following:

Title: GeForce NOW Turns Screens Into a Gaming Machine
Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2026 14:00:58 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-amazon-fire-tv-app/
The GeForce NOW sixth-anniversary festivities roll on this February, continuing a monthlong celebration of NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service.
This week brings even more reasons to join the party, as GeForce NOW launches on a new platform with support for Amazon Fire TV devices, and eight new games to keep the streaming going strong.
The new app brings GeForce NOW directly to select Amazon Fire TV devices, so members can jump into their PC game libraries on the biggest screen in the house using a compatible controller.
The Cloud Turns Up the Heat
GeForce NOW continues to expand access across devices, supporting multiple platforms with the latest additions of Linux. From PCs and Macs to smartphones, browsers and smart TVs, the cloud delivers high-performance gaming to nearly any screen, on more devices than ever.
Members tap into GeForce RTX power on the screens they already own, extending the value of their membership without extra hardware or complexity. That reach expands again with the launch of the GeForce NOW app on Amazon Fire TV.
GeForce NOW is powering up the living room with the launch of the GeForce NOW app on Amazon Fire TV streaming sticks, leveling up big-screen gaming with PC-quality performance.
GeForce RTX performance on Amazon Fire TV.
The GeForce NOW app on Fire TV is available now with initial support for the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (2nd Gen) with Fire OS 8.1.6.0 and later and Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen)with Fire OS 8.1.6.0 and later, and Fire TV Stick 4K Max (1st Gen) with Fire OS 7.7.1.1 and later, streaming at up to 1080p60 with standard-dynamic-range graphics using H.264 video encoding and stereo audio. Fire TV owners now have an even more powerful way to play on the big screen.
Connect a controller, open the app and stream favorite titles instantly with RTX power behind every pixel — no console required. Cloud gaming has never felt more at home.
Stories From the Ninth World
Words hit harder than weapons.
Torment: Tides of Numenera, inXile Entertainment’s story-focused role-playing game, puts emphasis on choices, characters and dialogue, mixing science fiction and fantasy into a strange, colorful world where every conversation and decision matters.
The adventure takes place in the “Ninth World,” a far-future version of Earth built on the ruins of incredibly advanced civilizations. Step into the role of the Last Castoff, a person connected to a powerful, mysterious figure, and get pulled into a mystery that asks one big question: What does a single life truly mean? Expect memorable companions, tough moral choices and plenty of odd, fascinating situations rather than a typical hero-saves-the-world story.
On GeForce NOW, this story-heavy experience is easy to jump into, no high-end rig required. Gaming sessions can pick up right where they left off across supported devices, making it simple for gamers to sink back into the Ninth World whenever the story calls.
Pixel-Powered Punch
Arcade icons and blue‑bomber brawls light up GeForce NOW this week with a retro‑powered surge from Capcom, featuring Mega Man 11, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, Capcom Fighting Collection, and the Capcom Beat ’Em Up Bundle. Members can catch them in the cloud, reliving the glory arcade days and timeless showdowns — now streaming anywhere to members’ devices.
Gear up, power up, save the future.
Mega Man is back — Mega Man 11 is the latest entry in the iconic series that blends classic, challenging 2D platforming action with a fresh visual style.
Hadoukens never age.
Celebrate Street Fighter’s historic legacy with the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection. In this collection of a dozen Street Fighter titles, four groundbreaking titles let gamers play with friends and relive the arcade experience through the online Arcade Mode.
Where legends throw down.
Capcom Fighting Collection includes 10 of Capcom’s most popular arcade games in one bumper collection, from series such as Street Fighter and Darkstalkers to Cyberbots and the first home console port of Red Earth. It’s the perfect collection for arcade veterans and newcomers alike.
Grab a friend and clear the streets.
Relive the glory days of cooperative arcade games with the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle. This comprehensive collection includes seven classic titles, each with various multiplayer options and online capabilities.
Time to Play
Twisted.
Reanimal is a twisted little nightmare that leans into creepy-cute horror with a co-op twist. Guide a scrappy brother-sister duo through a haunting, off-kilter world where every shadow hides something worse, every puzzle feels like a dare and “sticking together” isn’t just smart — it’s survival.
In addition, members can look for the following:
Disciples: Domination (New release on Steam, Feb. 12, GeForce RTX 5080-ready)
REANIMAL (New release on Steam, Feb. 13, GeForce RTX 5080-ready)

Title: GeForce NOW Celebrates Six Years of Streaming With 24 Games in February
Date: Thu, 05 Feb 2026 14:00:53 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-feb-2026-games-list/
Break out the cake and green sprinkles — GeForce NOW is turning six.
Since launch, members have streamed over 1 billion hours, and the party’s just getting started.
Throughout February, members can look forward to new games, fresh ways to play across more devices and even more ways to bring RTX power to every screen in the house.
There’s plenty to celebrate: the February games list kicks off with 24 new games. Start with the 10 new games in the cloud this week, including the launch of Team Jade’s Delta Force and the newest title launching in the PUBG universe, PUBG: BLINDSPOT.
Reporting for Duty
The ultimate extraction.
Delta Force, now boots on the ground and fully deployed on GeForce NOW, brings the tactical first‑person shooter from Team Jade (TiMi Studio Group) to the cloud. The game features high-stakes extraction with an all-out warfare mode, giving players a playground of open environments, vehicles and gadgets to pull off coordinated assaults.
Players join elite units tasked with tackling high‑risk missions across sprawling maps, from tight urban incursions to rugged open‑terrain operations. Expect strategic objectives, combined‑arms combat with land, air and sea vehicles, and tense firefights where teamwork and planning are just as important as quick reflexes.
On GeForce NOW, Delta Force leans into its high‑octane personality: fast drops, big maps and cinematic engagements that look sharp and feel responsive across devices. Members can squad up from almost anywhere, enjoy high‑resolution streaming and smooth performance, and stay ready for every op without waiting on downloads or big updates before jumping into the next mission.
New Mission
Squad up.
PUBG: BLINDSPOT, a new spin-off set in the PUBG universe from Krafton, expands the franchise with a standalone 5v5 top-down tactical shooter.
Set across tightly designed maps, matches focus on information, positioning and coordinated team play, with squads clearing angles, locking down objectives and outmaneuvering opponents in fast, round-based firefights. Every callout and ability use matters, turning each round into a layered tactical puzzle rather than a simple test of reflexes.
On GeForce NOW, responsive streaming and sharp RTX-powered visuals keep every angle, rotation and clutch play feeling precise, even on lower-powered devices. With support across a wide range of screens, the cloud makes it easy for the gaming squad to jump right into the action, without lengthy downloads or updates getting in the way.

Title: GeForce NOW Brings GeForce RTX Gaming to Linux PCs
Date: Thu, 29 Jan 2026 14:00:49 +0000
Link: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-linux/
Get ready to game — the native GeForce NOW app for Linux PCs is now available in beta, letting Linux desktops tap directly into GeForce RTX performance from the cloud.
Alongside the expansion comes ten new games, including The Bard’s Tale IV: Director’s Cut and The Bard’s Tale Trilogy for a leveled-up gaming weekend.
And operators can squad up in Team Jade’s Delta Force when it deploys in the cloud on February 3, bringing high-stakes tactical action to nearly any device with no downloads required.
Linux Just Got RTX
Gaming on Linux just got a major RTX upgrade.
Starting with support for Ubuntu 24.04 and later, the new app delivers a seamless native experience that fits right into Linux desktop workflows. It transforms compatible Linux systems into high-performance GeForce RTX-powered rigs, streaming supported PC titles directly from the cloud at up to 5K resolution and 120 frames per second, or 1080p at 360 fps.
This new desktop-focused app goes beyond the earlier Linux experience that was tuned specifically for Steam Decks, which targeted handheld-friendly resolutions and up to 1200p at 90 fps. The beta Linux app is built for PCs and notebooks, offering an experience similar to the existing GeForce NOW app on Windows and macOS.
With GeForce NOW, rendering happens in the cloud, so demanding titles run on a wider range of devices. Experience how RTX technologies — including ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS 4 and more — bring games to life with RTX 5080 performance from the cloud.
Linux PCs and devices join the GeForce NOW native app family that also supports Windows, macOS, Chromebooks, mobile devices, smart TVs and more — unlocking flexible, on-demand gaming anywhere.
Download the app today.

Title: The Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered restores lost content and demo, out March 3
Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2026 15:01:17 +0000
Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/02/26/the-legacy-of-kain-defiance-remastered-restores-lost-content-and-demo-out-march-3/
When players return to Nosgoth in Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered on PS4 and PS5, they are not only revisiting a defining chapter of the saga, but are also stepping into one that was never released.
Included with the definitive edition of Defiance Remastered is a playable demo of The Dark Prophecy, the unfinished sixth entry in the Legacy of Kain series. For years, this project existed only in fragments, remembered through concept art and early development materials. Now, players can experience a preserved segment of that lost chapter firsthand.
Play Video
The demo is presented as a historical artifact rather than a reimagining. Freely explore its tone, environment direction, and early gameplay ideas as they were originally conceived. This is a rare chance to experience the direction the series was preparing to take and to witness how Nosgoth’s next chapter was intended to unfold.
For longtime fans, it is a fun, what-if experience. For new players, it is a fascinating look at the creative ambition that followed Defiance.
Rebuilding Nosgoth with care
While The Dark Prophecy looks toward an unrealized future, Defiance Remastered focuses on strengthening the experience seasoned players will remember.
Across the main campaign, environmental gaps and stretched geometry have been repaired. Areas that once showed seams now feel structurally complete. Standing at the edge of a cathedral or overlooking a distant ruin, the world holds together without distortion or missing detail.
A camera that works with you
In addition to the original fixed camera, the remaster also boasts a new third-person free camera. For the first time, players can also rotate the camera across those vistas to admire Nosgoth from any angle without breaking immersion.
Now players have clearer sightlines when managing multiple enemies, navigating vertical arenas, and switching between Raziel’s spectral abilities and Kain’s telekinetic control. The encounters remain the same, but players can read and respond to them with far greater confidence.
Lighting, atmosphere, and player choice
Every level has been relit to enhance mood and depth. Shadows are more deliberate. Fog feels denser and more atmospheric. Interiors carry a heavier sense of presence, while exterior spaces feel more expansive.
If players prefer the original lighting style, they can switch back at any time. The updated lighting system is entirely optional, allowing players to tailor the experience to their preference.
A reworked interface and deeper lore
The original static menu has been replaced with a new ring menu designed to keep players immersed. The interface grants access to the maps, character skins, and a world encyclopedia filled with rich lore. Beyond these, expanded bonus galleries and restored content further support the narrative and smooth out pacing across the campaign.
Sound that responds to the world
Game audio has also received a meaningful upgrade. Additional music is integrated into levels and cutscenes, increasing variety and reinforcing emotional tone throughout the story.
Environmental sound design is also refined. Footsteps now respond accurately to different surfaces. When Raziel crosses a wooden bridge, players can hear the wood cracking beneath him. When Kain steps onto rough stone or plush carpet, the sound shifts accordingly.
Preserving the legacy
Defiance Remastered is about preservation and clarity. Players experience the same story, the same characters, and the same dramatic weight that defined the original – what changes is the stability, responsiveness, and cohesion of the world around them.
Alongside those improvements, The Dark Prophecy demo offers something rare in game history: the chance to play a chapter that once seemed lost.
Together, they form a more complete view of Legacy of Kain’s past and the paths it might have taken.
Title: Unlock God of War Sons of Sparta’s toughest challenge in The Pit
Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2026 14:00:14 +0000
Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/02/26/unlock-god-of-war-sons-of-spartas-toughest-challenge-in-the-pit/
Looking for your next challenge in God of War Sons of Sparta? Go to the place all aspiring Spartans prove their worth as warriors, the Pit of Agonies.
Enter The Pit today
The Pit is a separate endgame roguelike challenge mode that gives you different enemies and reward pools each time you play.
Play Video
Normally The Pit is accessible only after you beat the main story to ensure those who attempt it are familiar with both Kratos’ Spartan arms and the foes you will face, but if you feel ready to test your skills earlier, you can input this sequence below in the starting menu to unlock it early:
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, L1, R1, Touchpad
Once entered, you will see a new option on your menu that can be used to take you into the challenge mode.
Two-player local co-op
While The Pit can be played entirely solo as Kratos, the team at Mega Cat Studios was inspired to bring back a gaming staple that defined so many childhood afternoons on the couch: 2-player co-op.
This is local, offline-only co-op in true retro style, so you’ll need to grab a buddy if you want to bring both Kratos and Deimos to face the challenges deep below.
Choose your agony
Each run begins by selecting your starting Agony, a global difficulty modifier that will add variety to each run and impact the way you play.
For example, the Agony of Torment will manifest healing vessels that must be destroyed to prevent enemies from regenerating health, while the Agony of Calamity will cause defeated enemies to burst into a fiery explosion.
As you progress through your run, you will have the option to add more Agonies or increase the effect of your starting choice.
Rewards
Upon finishing a run, you will earn a Symbol of Suffering for your chosen Agonies. As you reach certain thresholds of total Symbols, you will unlock new Agonies to choose from.
Upon completion, you will also gain Ashes of Agony, a Pit-specific resource which can be used to acquire permanent upgrades that last between attempts.
Keeping score
If you like to track your progress (or earn some bragging rights), you’ll be able to see your current and high score at the end of each run.
Thank you to everyone who has supported God of War Sons of Sparta, available now on PS5. We hope you’ll enjoy the challenge of The Pit.

Title: Life is Strange: Reunion hands-on report highlights six reasons to get excited for March 26
Date: Tue, 24 Feb 2026 16:30:08 +0000
Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/02/24/life-is-strange-reunion-hands-on-report-highlights-six-reasons-to-get-excited-for-march-26/
It always comes back to Chloe Price and Max Caulfield. Through several games, branching narrative series Life is Strange has explored the consequences of love, friendship, and community, but the duo’s bond remains the beating heart of the overarching tale.
As Life is Strange: Reunion is said to be the final chapter in Max and Chloe’s story, it’s no surprise that both characters have returned, thanks to the cumulative events of Life is Strange: Double Exposure. Although some of the more significant decisions you’ve made from the first game, such as Max and Chloe’s relationship and the fate of Arcadia Bay, have carried over as well.
I spent some time with the game to dive into why fans should be excited about the partners-in-crime getting one last chance.
Some more familiar faces return
It’s not just about Max and Chloe making their comeback. Many characters from Life is Strange: Double Exposure appear, with Moses, a graduate, as a focal point because he is one of the victims of a fire that Max is trying to prevent. Dr. Yasmin Fayyad and her shapeshifting daughter Safi are present too, but Max’s friend Amanda was very much the focal point of the demo’s opening minutes. Which led to…
Ready to Rewind again?
My first task in the demo was to save Amanda from a demoralising heckler during her stand-up routine at the Snapping Turtle campus bar. It was a gentle reintroduction to Max’s Rewind ability, as once I failed my first attempt to stop the jeering troublemaker, I rewound our encounter with L1. Using the information I learned in our previous conversations, Max was able to talk to him again and make up a story that forced him to leave.
Max’s ability can be accessed at any time, but fundamentally, its use in the demo was to get around tight-lipped people, such as realizing that spilling beer over Double Exposure’s disgraced university professor, Lucas, is the only way to get a sneaky peek at his hidden documents.
The revelations from that action led Max to investigate the unsettling Abraxus House, triggering a more action driven use of Rewind. After bumping into another familiar character, journalism student Loretta, the two women were trapped in a creepy basement, under threat of discovery. Using a broom to barricade the door proved useless, but Rewind allowed me to find a far sturdier metal crowbar.
But the danger wasn’t over yet. With the house due for early demolition, I then had to use Rewind to find and disarm all the detonators in the right order under a strict time limit, a fun sequence that showed off the potential for where the game might go later on.
Chloe’s Backtalk returns
Given that Chloe is playable, it’s only fair that her dialogue-puzzle-based Backtalk ability from Life is Strange: Before the Storm is here, too. Although its introduction in the demo focused less on withering sarcasm to get her way, and more on charismatic persuasion by bending the truth.
After sneaking into the Snapping Turtle and then later being caught by security, I was asked to prove Chloe’s university credentials or risk her getting banned from campus. The Backtalk overlay popped up, offering a selection of replies under a time limit, with some responses carrying future consequences.
The key to successfully answering lay in the scene’s prior setup, with the game giving me a chance to observe items around the bar and interact with others for information, I had to remember to make my lie sound convincing. So don’t worry if you’re put on the spot – as long as you’re paying attention and quick on your fingers, Backtalk is a blast.
Both Max and Chloe are playable
Becoming both characters in the demo created an interesting situation when they were reunited at a climactic point of my game time. Rather than forcing me to choose who to control or keep them entirely separate, Reunion allowed me to decide what each character said to the other, shaping the ebb and flow of their conversation and creating immediate cause and effect in their dialogue.
Their journals are the perfect catch-up tool
We also have access to both Max’s and Chloe’s journals, which provide backstory and world-building through their scribbled thoughts, stickers, and other ephemera. The same menu allowed me to read incoming text messages between characters, along with their previous texts, providing a rich insight into their prior relationships.
You can take photos at any time
Similar to previous games in the series, there are photo hotspots to uncover in Max’s scenes, for collectible compositions that save in her journal. But pressing up on the D-pad at any time while you’re controlling Max reveals a much-requested addition to the series – the ability to take an in-game photo whenever something catches your eye.
Your personal snaps won’t be saved to Max’s journal, but are shareable with friends and via social media with a long press of the Create button.
My short time with the game left me eager for more as Max and Chloe’s adventure together was just starting to heat up. March 26 is when we’ll all be able to experience the likely heart-wrenching decisions of what comes next when Life is Strange: Reunion launches on PS5.
Title: Scott Pilgrim EX: Enter Casa Vania, meet Goth Neil and Lady Envy
Date: Tue, 24 Feb 2026 16:00:05 +0000
Link: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/02/24/scott-pilgrim-ex-enter-casa-vania-meet-goth-neil-and-lady-envy/
Toronto is in turmoil! As the mysterious GCorp takes over the Queen City, the members of Sex Bob-Omb have been kidnapped by Metal Scott. Ramona, Scott and a couple of her evil Exes band together to venture across the City to save it from these ominous forces. One of the many places the gang will have to explore will be the shadowy halls of…Casa Vania.
Scott Pilgrim EX is different from our previous two beat’em up titles: while it still has a lot of fighting, we wanted to add much bigger exploration and character interaction elements. The resulting game is a sort of “brawling adventure” hybrid. Players will be free to trek all over Toronto, visit shops, equip items and encounter their favorite characters from the Scott Pilgrim world. But of course, adventures require zones and a variety of environments. This led our team to create a warped version of Toronto for players to discover along with the game’s numerous quests.
In The Hidden Castle, the third quest of Scott Pilgrim EX, the players must jump, punch and flip kick their way through demonic gangs in order to gain access to the somber staircases of Casa Vania.

Once they’ve entered the castle’s gloomy corridors, they find none other than…Goth Neil?Seemingly transformed, Sex Bob-Omb’s biggest fan has fallen under the thrall of a dark figure! While he seems like an invention for SP:EX, Goth Neil’s hails from the pages of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s own sketchbook:
“In the original Scott Pilgrim books, there’s a big “Day of the Dead” party. I did some early sketches of Young Neil in a goth outfit, but he didn’t make the final cut.
Those sketches were published in later editions of the books, and some fans loved them. That’s part of the genesis of Goth Neil. Young Neil is a character who is always a bit child-like and naïve.” I initially sketched him holding an “egg-like rock”, but we later flipped the concept so that he’s holding a regular rock, which he thinks is a dinosaur egg.
The animators gave him so much quirky personality. I don’t remember who suggested he transform into a bat, but we thought it was so funny.”
– Bryan Lee O’Malley, creator of Scott Pilgrim
Goth Neil leaves the scene in his own inimitable style.
But who rules over Casa Vania? Who has bewitched Young Neil so? None other than Lady Envy!
In Scott Pilgrim EX, we wanted players to face colorful bosses while keeping in mind that fans of the Pilgrim world, whether they’re books, movies or animation, still wanted to see their favorite characters. We arrived at the idea that every “warped” environment would be headed by themed versions of recognizable faces from the Pilgrim canon. O’Malley tells us more about Lady Envy’s origins:
“A project like this is a big collaboration between so many artists and storytellers. Lady Envy was one of the first bosses we discussed. She’s a mashup of so many fun references and homages to classic games we loved from the 80s-90s (“Casa Vania”). She might bring to mind a few more modern references, too.
She’s a cool horror-vampire-pirate pastiche, plus some pop-star flair to make her feel like the Envy Adams we know and love.”
– Bryan Lee O’Malley, creator of Scott Pilgrim
Credit: Lady Envy & Goth Neil design sketches by Bryan Lee O’Malley
As Quest 3’s boss, Lady Envy will challenge the players with her dual blades and magical attacks.
Will you be up to the challenge? Save Neil, the rest of the band, Toronto and more in Scott Pilgrim: EX, available March 3rd on PS4 and PS5.

Been a while since I’ve done one of these. Been even longer since I didn’t have a complaint about wonky performance or some manner of debilitating stutter issue to open it with. Nope, Resident Evil Requiem is, on the technical side, a big and shiny blockbuster like they should be made: a good looker and a smooth runner both, almost regardless of graphics card heft. It is, as Capcom promised, the anti-Monster Hunter Wilds. Not a bad shooty-horror game, either.

Most of the time, life sucks. On rare occasions, however, the moons line up. Having spent a few hours this past weekend playing the Steam Next Fest demo of cosy campervan survivabuilder Outbound, I returned to my desk on Monday and stumbled across a campervan mod for my long-time vice Cyberpunk 2077.
Naturally, I wasn’t going to turn down the chance to compare the experience of driving around the countryside in a mobile home twice.
